How do you delete apps that you no longer want on your ipad COMPLETELY?

My memory on my ipad is low.. and when you take a look at the apps in the store from recent ones i tried out.. they are still there.. how do you get rid of them ?
i literally have 4 apps on my ipad. with only 5 songs 30 pictures ... why is the memory so bogged down?? ive seen many peoples devices and they have way more stuff than i do.. someone helppp??

You cannot delete/remove apps from your App Store purchases. They will remain there forever but they are not necessarly still on the device. You can hide your past purchases but need to do so using iTunes.
See: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4919
As was mentioned, just because they are showing in your purchases, it does not mean that they are on the device. If you have deleted them from the device and are no longer on the device, they are not using any of your device's storage. You'l' have to look elsewhere to see what is taking up the space you are missing.
Check Settings>General>Usage, then tap on Show all Apps to get an idea of what is physically on the device (Apps, Music, Photos, Videos, etc.)

How do I delete apps that I do not want on my device anymore?

    DELETING APPS
Touch the app and hold your finger down until all the apps start to jiggle. You will see a circled "x" in the upper left corner. Tap it to delete an app. When done press the Home button.
You cannot delete any pre-installed iOS app.
If there is No 'X' on any apps you have Downloaded... then check in Restrictions... Settings > General > Restrictions > Deleting Apps  =  Off / On
If the app is in iTunes, then you delete the app in iTunes (Select the App and Press Delete on your Keyboard). If you then sync with your iDevice, the app will also be deleted from your iDevice.

  • How do I uninstall apps that I no longer want

Can someone advise me on how to uninstall some of the apps I no longer need. Please

Press and hold any of the apps and after a couple of seconds or so they should start to shake. Then press the 'x' in the left corner to delete the ones that you don't want, and when you've finished deleting press the home button so as to stop the shaking. You cannot delete any of the Apple built-in apps e.g. Music, App Store, Game Centre etc. If you don't get the 'x' on any of the apps that you've downloaded then check that Settings > General > Restrictions > Deleting Apps isn't set 'off'

  • How do I delete or close Apps that I no longer want or need?

I need to open up space on my ipad and need to delete apps that I no longer need. I don't know how to do this though! Please HELP!

You press on any app and hold for about 3 seconds. Then the apps will start to shake. Click on the little 'x' on the apps you want to delete.
To close apps, hold down the home button until a black bar rises. Again, hold an app for about 3 seconds and it'll start to shake again. This time, it'll be a '-' sign. Click on that to close the app.

These apps you wish to delete aren't ones that came included with the iPad, are they? Those cannot be deleted. If these are apps you installed, try restarting your iPad:

and see if it will then let you delete those apps.

    HI,
how do you add a printer to your iPad.

    1. Buy a AirPrint enabled printer; see list below
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4356
    2. Run the CD provided and setup as network printer; this will setup your printer to the same network as your iPad

  • Can I delete an app that I no longer want?

I purchased an app that I don't want. Can I delete an app and how?

Hold down on an app icon - not just anywhere on the screen. Hold down on an app icon until the icons wiggle. Then tap the x in the corner of the app that you want to delete. You can not delete the preinstalled apps that were on the iPhone when you bought it. Apps like Safari, the App Store, Mail, iPod,etc can not be deleted

  • HT5824 how do i go onto my icloud account to delete apps that i do not want on it

I have an Ipad that i have deleted apps on but they were saved on my icloud account. I want to know how i get onto my icloud account to delete them off of that and how to do it. thanks

Welcome to the Apple community taylorpaula.
The apps are not actually in your iCloud storage, they are links to the apps in the App Store. What you are seeing is your purchase history and as such cannot be deleted.
You can however hide your purchases, which you can do from the QuickLinks > Purchased option from the main page in the iTunes Store on your computer.

  • How do I delete apps that don't have an X?

I read where someone else asked how to delete apps and they were told to hold the app til it wiggled then click an X that would appear in the app corner.  Well.....there is no X in the corner of the app I want to delete (stocks).  I have no use for this app and hate the extra clutter.  Thanks for any help.

If it is an app that is part of the Apple iOS install, you won't be able to remove it.
If it is a 3rd party app it should have an X when tapped and held.
Note you can also remove apps using the Apps tab in iTunes when the device is connected to your computer.

  • How do you get an ipa off your iPad to backup if the app was removed from the app store and using "Transfer purchases" does not copy the ipa over to iTunes?

Hello everyone. Can anyone shed some light on this problem? If I downloaded an app from the app store called "Print to PDF" that allows opening any application and going to print converts that to a PDF e.g. Safari pages, mail etc and I did not sync or "transfer purchases" for some time and when I look in the app store that app is no longer there so I thought if I could "transfer purchases" iTunes would then have the .ipa and I could back it up and copy it to my iPad 2 but I don't see the ipa in the "mobile applications" directory. How do I get it off my iPad and into iTunes to backup?
Thanks for any help you can give!

Ashka, I have tried to "transfer purchases from device" but that is what I am saying that I do not see the app in the "mobile applications" directory after I do that process. I was wondering if anyone else knew of a way to get to the ipa file that is stored on the iPad such as a program that could browse the directories of the iPad of even an app that could do it so I can get and save the actual app in ipa format.
