How do you delete duplicates from iPhoto import?
I've noticed that when I imported my library from iPhoto, Aperture has imported all versions of images that I've edited over the years (the ones kept in the "original" folders.
Is there a quick way of finding all duplicates ie. time and date for ALL of my images so I can cull the superseded versions imported from iPhoto?
15" 1.67Ghz Powerbook 2GB RAM 100GB HDD Mac OS X (10.4.3) 1GB Ipod Shuffle, 4GB Ipod Nano, 60GB Ipod Photo
iPhoto will add the keyword "iPhoto Edited" to images that are edits, and "iPhoto Original" for the originals. So you can create a smart album that has that keyword.

How do you delete duplicate tracks off your playlist?!
How do you delete duplicate tracks off your playlist - everytime I connect my hard-drive it adds another of every single track - argh!!!!
I remember there being a 'delete duplicate tracks' option on a much older version of itunes - is this still available and if not if you opt for the 'consolidate library' option will this automatically save to you computer as I have too much music for my laptops memory capacity! On top of that how can I stop this issue from contantly re-occuring everytime I connect my hard-drive?! Apologies if im being thick here.... xX*laura*XxYou are doing something wrong, iTunes doesn't add tracks to the library unless you ask it to, so there is a problem somewhere in your workflow which is creating the duplicates. For example, having iTunes set up to "Copy files to the iTunes Media folder when adding to library" and then repeatedly adding in a folder from an external drive would do it.
Once you've worked out how to stop creating new duplicates you can look at the issue of deduping what you already have. See this recent post for some thoughts and a script that may prove useful.

How do you delete contacts from your phone for good without having it appear in the messages app?
Hi tieyce,
You need to hook up your iPhone, select it under Devices, and then go to the Photos tab on the Device Profile, and uncheck Sync Photos, then sync. That should delete all photos that were downloaded from your computer.
When you say you have 2 separate albums of the same sets of pictures, what 2 albums are you referring to? Can you provide us with names of those "duplicate" albums?
Cheers,

How do you delete photos from your iphone?
how do you delete photos from your iphone?
Goto Settings, select iCloud, select PhotoSteam, and turn it off - you will get a warning message that this will delete the photos in photostream (but they are in your camera roll and albums so no worries) and delete. You will now have only Camera Roll (where you CAN delete photos directly on your phone), and any albums you've imported - which you can sync using iTunes.
Otherwise you can also loginto iCloud from Mac or PC and delete the photostream there
hope Apple changes this for future upgrades - would like to be able to delete ALL photos directly on my phone -

How do you delete duplicate songs in your library without having to delete each song individually?

Not a good idea! The "show duplicates" feature shows "all" duplicate tracks, but you only want to delete the "extra" copies, not the "originals".
I've written a script called DeDuper which can help remove unwanted duplicates. See this thread for background, including how to delete the extra tracks manually if you prefer.
