Okay, just setup Leopard server 10.5.8 for use as a SUS, and mistakenly set it to download all updates!
Of course I don't need all the 283 updates which total 16GBs. How can delete the files and remove them from the list.

Pictures in Photo Library are synced from your computer and must be deleted from there, followed by re-sync. Photos in Camera Roll can be deleted from your iPhone directly (tap arrow in top right, tap the pictures you want to delete, press the Delete button).

Your Apple ID is used for several services through your iPhone. To replace the previous Apple ID you will need to sign out of it in a few different spots and sign in with the current Apple ID (depending on what Apple ID you choose to use for each individual service). The services you may need to sign out of old Apple ID and into new one could include iCloud, Messages, FaceTime, and iTunes & App Stores. You can see what Apple ID is currently signed in and sign out of it in the following areas: Settings > iCloud, Settings > Messages, Settings > FaceTime, and Settings > iTunes & App Store. HT2731 Old apple Id keeps showing up on my iPhone how do you delete the old I'd?

I had an e mail address with my employer that I used on my I phone for my apple ID and when I retired I no longer have access to that e mail server. I successfully changed my apple ID but a pop up with the old ID comes up on my I phone and I do not know how to stop this pop up. My old password with the old ID doesen't work.
Have any ideas on how to fix this.

It sounds like you restored from an old back-up. Did you back-up just before your software update? It will use your last one and if your last back-up was a ywear old then it will use that one.
In general, if you are getting these messages on your iPhones select logout (when you get that Apple Id request) and then log back in with your newer ID.

I have just noticed an apples store update waiting for me on my iPhone on closer inspection I noticed it was a sky mobile update, which is free but for 3 months only .. I do not want this update so how can I remove it as a pending update?

If you don't want to update an app, don't. However, there is no way to stop the update notification.

You can delete songs from the iPhone via the iTunes sync process as with an iPod, or direct on the iPhone.

Under the Books tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes, select Sync AudioBooks. There is an option to sync all or selected audiobooks.

How do you restore "details" to software updates in mavericks

In Mountain Lion, when a notification for available software updates appeared, there was an option to choose "Details" which would allow one to decide which updates were wanted and which were not. In Mavericks, the "Details" choice seems to have disappeared. Now the only two choices are to install or "remind me later." Can "Details" be restored?
I work around this issue by going to the App Store and clicking on "Updates," but that is a real time-consuming pain in the neck.

go back into the Keyboard pane of System Preferences and select its Keyboard tab. Is its “Use all F1, F2, etc. keys as standard function keys” checkbox checked, or is it unchecked? If it’s checked, then you’d need to press Fn-F4 to have it show the Dashboard, if F4 hasn’t been mapped to anything other function.
Next, select its Shortcuts tab. On the left-hand side, select Launchpad & Dock, and ensure that the Show Launchpad checkbox is unchecked. After that, select Mission Control on the left-hand side. On the right-hand side, check the Show Dashboard checkbox, and click where it says F12; it will reveal itself as an input. Press F4 to replace F12 with F4.

My iPhone 4 automatically downloaded the iOS6 update. I have no intention to update because of the change to the maps. I use the maps everyday for work. Go to Settings>iTunes & App Stores
Click the Apple ID at the top then click Sign out on the pop up menu.
If there are any apps that the old user has downloaded on your iPhone still you will need to delete them as it will ask for the password whenever you try to up date them

Did you create a new separate account or did you just change your Apple ID.
Purchases are permanently linked to the Apple ID that made them. If you created a new ID and these apps were purchased with your old Apple ID then you will not be able to update them without entering the password for that account.
If you do not remember it then you will need to delete those apps and redownload/purchase them with your new Apple ID.
