I updated my Iphone and now I am not able to clear the deleated messages? Am I missing something?

Click on the voicemail icon and at the top it will say deleted in black and then clear all next to it in blue. Just hit clear all and it should work

I first backed up my iPod touch to keep all of my apps. Then I updated it to 4.0, when I got finished it didn't have any of my apps except the original ones from the iTouch. So I went to click restore from back up and it said that the 4.0 update would go away if I restored from backup. So how do I keep my apps and the update? I have bought some of the apps and do not think it would be fair to re buy them.

No, a backup won't do anything, you need to check your sync settings and then re-sync.
1- Connect your Touch to iTunes
2- Verify that your App sync preferences are set correctly
3- Verify that all your other sync preferences (Music, Video, Podcast) are set correctly
4- Click Apply if you made any changes, or click Sync to initiate a sync w/o any changes.
Assuming the missing Apps are in your iTunes, they should be added to your Touch after you re-sync.

Ideally, we'd be able to accomplish all of the above points to significantly - and intelligently - extend our reach moving forward. So, back to the the Forrester report... To help more holistically drive content distribution, Forrester recommends creating a "distribution boss" and linking that person to content creation. I like it. To even further boost success of content marketing initiatives, Forrester suggests: (and I'm paraphrasing liberally here):
1. Your distribution boss needs to be a left-brained analyst with a right-brained way with words
2. Borrow some $$ from your content creation budget for some content promotion
3. Encourage a BFF relationship between your PR and media teams and your content marketing teams
Bottom (or should I say "top") line? I'm looking forward to our organization developing a more scientific content distribution strategy in 2014. Can I get an "amen!"? If the mail account is a IMAP or Exchange account that is how it works. Those accounts synchronize mail on all devices.
If the mail account is a POP3 account the go to Settings>Mail>the mail account>Advanced>Deleted Messages>Remove and set to never.

Apps are permanently tied to the Apple ID used to purchase them. You will always be asked for the password associated with this ID when updating apps, regardless of whether or not you are using this ID for current purchases. The only way to stop this is to delete the old apps from your phone and iTunes and repurchase them with your current ID.
Edit: to change the ID used for future purchases on your phone, go to Settings>Store>Apple ID, tap the ID shown, sign out, sign back in using the new ID. As explained above, you will still be prompted with the old ID when updating apps purchase with the older ID.

I live in china but I'm from Canada and my iTunes is linked to Canada. Twice so far this year I have had my iTunes, App Store, and iBooks all convert to the Chinese sites. I am trying to put it back to Canada but for some reason it won't change. My region is still Canada so I'm not quite sure what is going on. Can anyone help?

I am having trouble figuring out how to export the calendar on my computer (a mac) with the calendar on my IPhone 4. When I plug in my IPhone to the computer, it does not show up as an option to export on the ICalendar.

You don't need to export.
Connect your iPhone to Mac's iTunes
Select your iPhone in iTunes under DEVICES
Choose the Info tab
Select Sync iCal Calendar. (CHECKED)
Click Sync button bottom right, done.

Ya, I don't know where the JMF registry is.....is there a list somewhere in the API? Is it somewhere in the Windows registry files after installing JMF? I keep hearing you need to do this when creating a webcam application but never seen it explained anywhere.

The registry is a file located in the lib directory under the installation of Java Media Framework, called jmf.properties.
You can edit it with the jmfregistry application provided with JMF, or using the proper classes such as the CaptureDeviceManager.
