How do you disable the shortcut key in Mail that deletes all mail in the trash folder

Is there a way to disable the shortcut key in Mail in Mountain Lion that deletes all mail in the Trash folder in all accounts: <shift><command><delete> ?
I did it once by mistake and it deleted all my trash - it is very difficult to restore when there are thousands of messages in various emaiil accounts.

While you can't (so far as I know) remove it - you can assign a different (& less likely to be used accidentally) one via System Preferences - Keyboard - Shortcuts.
Go there, create a new one (or 2) for Mail only, and give it the exact name(s) if the menu item(s) in question, capitalisation & ... included.

I am trying to reduce the amount of used memory on the iPhone Mail is showing usage of 3.2 gb even after deleting all mail.The memory did not change after getting rid of all trash, junk and saved emails.

Settings , iCloud , account, mail, advanced , deleted messages-remove. Remove after one day is the quickest way to get rid of these.

How do you disable repeat when key is down?

When you press a key on your keyboard and hold that key down
(the "A" key for example), after a second or so, it would start to
repeat (so you would get "AAAAAA..." depending on how long you hold
it down). This is really inconvenient for me in Flash and was

An approach to try is to remove the event listener in the
listener function for the keyDown event and then add the event
listener again in the keyUp event listener.

Trying to delete the Apple Folder from Program Files/Common Files. I can delete all the contents except for the Internet Services folder which prevents me from making the deletion. The error message says "you need permission to delete this file".
Discovered this problem when trying to upgrade from my 3G iPhone to a new 5S iPhone unsucessfully.

The last Mountain Lion update simply deleted ALL contents from my downloads folder. Thank you very much, Apple.

I updated my Mountain Lion yesterday with the latest system update and after reboot, much to my dismay, EVERY file I had on my downloads folder was permanently deleted.
Months and months downloading research material for my business plan, all gone.

How do you change the shortcut keys for Firefox in Welsh For Mac?

I'm using Firefox in Welsh on Mac (asking in English to hopefully get more answers), and every time I try to do the shortcut for copy (cmd+C), it hides the window (since Hide in Welsh is Cuddio, the shorcut for that is now Cmd+C). I usually forget this, and proceed with using the shortcut for copy only to anger myself when I realise that I've hidden the window.
My question is, how do you change the shortcut keys on Firefox so then I can change the Hide shortcut and give Copy the cmd+C shortcut? I'm also using OpenOffice.org in Welsh, and they are using cmd+C for copy and cmd+H for Hide.
Is there any way that I could do this myself? Its rather annoying for me, and its rather weird to use Cmd+X for Cutting text instead of copying.

This could be worth a bug. It shouldn't happen that some shortcut keys get (re)used for other actions and Cmd + C should be considered as one of them.

How can I keep my child from UNBLOCKING contacts or numbers I have blocked? I know in restrictions when you disable account changes at least on ios 6,this greyed out the iMessage button so the kids couldn't deactivate their text feature.

Here's the issue. Kids got themselves into some trouble on iPods. We set all restrictions any turned off iMessage etc, which I noticed they can't turn back on bc it's gray with the don't allow account changes set. BUT, it still allows Wi-Fi to be turned on and off! What I am looking to do actually is allow my kids to be able to text family but block everyone else. And ask me to turn on wi fi. How and can this even be done? Right now my d text is turned off completely. And she knows the inside and out of her device so she can turn wi fi on herself. TeresaBoo, I empathize with your dilemma and have a similar problem. I'm trying desperately to keep my teenage daughter away from a controlling and abusive boyfriend. Of course, she is in denial and thinks it's love. Sure, I can block text messages through our wireless provider, but iMessages run on an independent network. I can block a phone number from iMessaging on her phone, but she can unblock it just as easily. I wish there was some way for parents to create a password to protect settings. Don't let negative comments get you down. Honestly, if someone can't relate to your question or offer help, why are they even bothering to comment??

Unfortunately the keyboard shortcuts are only editable in LV 8.0.
For a list of keyboard shortcuts in LV 7.x look at the following link:

In LV 8.0 you can edit the shortcuts in Tools->Options in the category Menu Shortcuts.
