How do you do action recording in Photoshop Elements like you can in regular photoshop?
One of my clients is a club promoter and they would like to put their logo on the bottom left of their photos from their events. Usually I can do this by opening the logo (which has like 50% opacity), copying the logo, recording an action set, pasting the logo i copied to memory into the photo, resize the photo and export and close the photo, save the action set and then just batch- automate and choose all currently opened images to run the action on.
*I mentioned the 50% opacity because I want to put the logo on the photos but not totally hide what's underneath the logo.
How do I do the same with photoshop elements?

Just another option that may work for you there are a number of relatively cheap and a couple of freeware programs that are listed here, there are many others I am sure.

You don't go to the drop down "Actions" menu to reply to a post. You find the post to which you would like to reply and you hit the "Reply" button. You then type your message and then hit the "Add Reply" button to post your reply.

National Instrument's solution is either reformat you drive to less than 126GB or replace the drive with one less than that size.
Please NI, tell me you are going to fix your LabVIEW Real Time soon, and that we won't have to wait for LabVIEW RT 9.2.1 in 2011 for this one to be fixed.

Drives as large as 126GB or more have been around since about mid 2002. That's about 7 Years now and LabVIEW Real Time STILL can't use drives larger that 126GB! Please NI. Do something.
We deserve fixes to the old versions of LabVIEW RT. How about updates to LabVIEW RT. Such as 7.0.2, 7.1.2, 7.6.2, 8.0.2, 8.2.2, 8.6.2.
We don't need new features or versions of LabVIEW RT such as 9.0 until we have some of bugs fixed in the existing versions.

The RealTime OS is an NI Product that is purchased from NI.
NI may or may not outsource design, developement, or manufacturing of the products that it sells under its own Company name.
For this reason I would be concerned if I were a PXI Embedded Controller designer/developer in the United States.
Yes, 126GB is some space. I see that there are now 2TB drives available. 126GB would be 6.3% of a new 2TB drive. Should we all be happy with being able to use 6.3% of the available drive space. Moore's Law seams to be alive and well. Drives larger than 126GB have been readily available for 5 or 6 Years. This should not be a surprise to NI. Why don't they do something about it.
Thanks for the trivia on Bill Gates. I must have missed that one since I don't try to keep up with Microsoft. I believe that he is a wonderful person and he and his family are doing wonders for the world in their "retirement". The world needs more like him.
What I do remember is Steve Jobs telling us that we would never need more that 128MB and that we would never to need to do anymore software development because everything was already in the "ToolBox".

How come you can't stream photos from a primary library that is "paired"?

I think someone else commented about this as well but I never really saw an answer as to why Apple doesn't allow this. How come you can only stream from a shared or secondary library but for a primary or "paired" libray you have to sync photos. If you can stream from a primary it is not working for me.

It's behaving correctly for you, you cannot stream photos from a primary library. Why I don't know, the software has gone through several stages and various options have been offered, so I can only assume it's not an oversight but a deliberate restriction for the better.

How to use the action OnExpandAll on UI element Tree

I am in WDA developing project and developing the screen which has Tree .
I want to expand all nodes when users click the button on the head of Tree .
I copied the application `WDT_TREE` and created Tree of my application successfully .
And I created the action OnExpandAll on my Tree and tried to create the function to expand all nodes .
But I do not know how to use the action OnExpandAll .
I can see the button to start action OnExpandAll on the head of Tree .
I am trying to write logic in the action . But it does not work successfully .
(In my tree , when I click the button for OnExpandAll , all nodes are outputted on root node .
Because my logic is wrong ... )
Please give me any hints .

As your case it is a recursive node.
then you have to create method and call it recursively for the expanall functionality.
do it like this.
create an attribute the node FOLDER
name = 'ISEXPANDED'
type = WDY_BOOLEAN.
Now bind the property expanded of treenode FOLDER UI to this attribute.
now go to the methods tab and create one method say name ZEXPANDALL.
in thsi method make one importing parameter of type ( type ref to ) if_wd_context_node. and name NODE.
then write the following code in this method.
method ZEXPANDALL .

I have a site that i'm working on for class and i need to be able to have people comment on my blogs and stiff and they can't because im using FTP because I don't have a mobileme account. WIll this be changing soon that you can all comments to your site using IWeb.

How to burn a slide show DVD in Elements 11? Can only find how to burn a Video CD, which doesn't help.

I'm trying to burn a DVD slide show in Elements 11, but can find only how to burn a Video CD. Is burning a DVD possible in 11?

Do you know if it is Vista Home Premium?
If yes or if you are not sure, look for Windows DVD Maker,
On my Vista Home Premium laptop whe I click on "All Pprograms", within the list of programs I see "Windows DVD Maker" listed as a program.
If you have this program then my suggestion is to use the PSE slide show editor to Output a file to your hard disk
(use the
-- the "Save to a File" instead of the "Burn to a Disc"
and
-- the "Movie File - .wmv"
and for slide size choose:
DVD-NTSC if in USA
or DVD-PAL if in Europe or other PAL TV country
Save the wmv file in a hard drive folder where it will be convenient for you to reference for later use in the Windows DVD Maker program.
Once this wmv file has been successfully created, you can play it back with Windows Media Player to verify that you like its contents.
Your next step will be to use the Windows DVD Maker program to write the formats of movie files required for the TV DVD player playback to the DVD disc. I recommend closing Photoshop Elements and then open Windows DVD Maker from the Windows Start menu list.
Windows DVD Maker is a "follow the instructions on the screen" program.
However, one point of confusion is how to add the PSE created slide show to DVD Maker program.
The answer is that you use that .wmv file (from the PSE slide show editor) -- it is now in a video format and is a "video". So you can follow the onscreen directions to add video to DVD Maker.
Note 1: I recommended closing PSE before starting the Windows DVD Maker in order to conserve your PC system resources. It is probably not absolutely necessary.
Note 2: You could also produce the DVD for TV playback by adding Adobe Premiere Elements to your computer. However just for the purpose of making the DVD from your slideshow I anticipate that using Windows DVD Maker will be simpler and faster.
Note 3: I recommend using a DVD-R disc. What brand of discs do you have?

In Iowa, uploaded a library app called wilbor for downloading books from library onto iPad. Is there an app that goes with this so you can use regular functions of iPad i.e taking notes, highlighting words to find definitions, etc?

In Iowa, you can upload an app called Wilbur from your library so you can download books from the library. Is there another app that is needed to go with "Wilbur" because you cannot use the regular functions of an iPad such as taken notes, highlight a word for a definition, etc.

Are you actually talking about the app called Overdrive Media Console? In any case, if it doesn't have the features you want, you need to ask the author to add them.

How to view all Actions in the Photoshop Actions Panel

My computer crashed and I removed all apps and reinstalled so now none of my actions appear. However I do have a backup file of all of them and want to reinstall but before when I was using cs6 ( Im assuming same thing as CC as it was all on the subscription plan ) I would click actions then the right arrows and it would bring me a big screen of all the actions ( even the ones that were just preloaded in ps ) and it was a big box with all the actions and some options to record etc...Now that box isn't there and it's just a single column drop down menu.

Actions can be loaded and save to any folder. Use the dialog to get to where you have saved your Actions. I never store actions in any Adobe Folder.

which all have the same weight, width and style, what values do you supply for Postscript and TTF names to cause the operating system and apps to see these fonts as individual fonts and as members of one family.
I have in mind the Adobe Pro Optical OTFs which show up in a font menu under one family name, with the individual typefaces appearing in the families' sub menu.

Further adventures:
The Bauer Bodonie Std package sorts to the bottom of the Mac OS X Font Panel family listing, after Zapfino and Apple Chancery (which also sorts peculiarly).
The Trump Mediaeval Std package shows up as four separate families in the Mac OS X Font Panel:
Trump Mediaeval LT Std
Trump Mediaeval LT Std Bold
Trump Mediaeval LT Std BoldIt
Trump Mediaeval LT Std Italic
All four show up as Regular in the typeface column.
With the Didot LT Std package:
Select All Text in an app that uses the Mac OS X Font Panel
Choose Helvetica Regular for the font
Choose Didot LT Std for the font
Your text is now formatted with Didot LT Std Headline instead of Didot LT Std Roman, i.e., the font substitution algorithm doesn't make very good choices.
While the peculiar and anomalous functioning of the Mac OS X Font Panel is certainly not the responsibility of Adobe, it would be helpful to the consumer if Adobe's testing included an actual test of the fonts in the Font Panel, or, if Adobe can't guess (since there doesn't seem to be any documentation available) how the Font Panel operates, it seems prudent to warn a consumer that the Adobe OTF library is handled in a peculiar manner in Mac OS X Cocoa apps.

p.s. Still no word from Apple about where I can discuss or get help with font problems. It would seem to me that since DTP played such a large role in the success of Apple's Mackintosh that they would be more attentive.
