How do you download a photo from Microsoft Powerpoint and put it into Iphoto?

I'm editing a video for my youth group and I can't get the photo from the powerpoint my youth minister emailed me to upload to iphoto, thus not letting me put it in imovie. I've tried having both windows open and just dragging the photo from one to the other and that didn't work. I tried copying and pasting it into iphoto, but when i right-click in iphoto the option to paste doesn't even show up. The photo is a .tiff, so could that have something to do with it? Any help is appreciated, and a prompt response would be greatly appreciated as we are plannign on showing the video tomorro morning.
Thanks!

For the one page in the ppt presentation that you want to get into iPhoto do a Print ➙ PDF ➙ Save PDF to iPhoto.
This creates a 200 dpi jpg image of whatever you're "printing" and imported it into iPhoto.  You can do it from any application.

  • How can you take a photo from one event and put it in another, without dragging to desktop and dragging back into iPhoto and moving it to the event folder I want it in.

As the title says I need help on how to take a photo from one event and put it in another, without dragging to desktop and dragging back into iPhoto and moving it to the event folder I want it in. Right now when I want to move a picture from one event to another I drag it to my desktop then delete it from iPhoto then I drag it back into iPhoto and put where I want it.An example would be taking a photo from the Christmas event and add it to a specific person event.  Can I do that within the events section without all the dragging. Also is there anyway I can remove duplicates from iPhoto without going through each and every file. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Apple doesn't make it easy to do what you want.  However, here's how I do it.
Select the photo you want to move and create a new Event for it via the Event ➙ Create Event menu option.
In the Event mode select the new Event with the one picture and drag it onto the Event you want to move the photo to.

how do i download a picture from my scanner and put it on photoshop thank you

You don't "download" anything, and you don't put anything "on Photoshop".
You save your image in your scanning application using whatever file format supported by Photoshop you want (PSD, TIFF, PNG, JPEG, etc.), and save it in whatever folder on your computer you want.
Then you use Photoshop to open your image file wherever you put it.

  • I have photos on my iphone 4 that i'm trying to transfer to iphoto.  The problem is when I plug the phone in, it only wants to transfer the new photos, not all.  How can I take all the photos off my phone and put them into iphoto?

I have photos on my iphone 4 that i'm trying to transfer to iphoto.  The problem is when I plug the phone in, it only wants to transfer the new photos, not all.  How can I take all the photos off my phone and put them into iphoto? Even if there are duplicates, I'd like to make sure I get all the photos from my phone into iphoto.  Thanks

To see all the photos on the phone, including photos that have already been imported into iPhoto, deselect the "Hide Photos Already Imported" checkbox. If the camera contains photos that have already been imported into iPhoto, those photos are hidden by default.

    Hi,
Most of the time there is a place to download the photo (more actions) to the right of the photo, then open it in photoshop using File>Open.

    Welcome to the forums.
To get the best array of responses, you should post your question as a new inquiry. Perhaps save yourself the time, however, and do a search on "MPEG Streamclip" in this forum and you'll see a variety of suggestions. Also, here are a couple websites:

Is this a true photo image file attached to an email message? I'm afraid I don't quite understand. Here's an image file in this message:
If you put your mouse pointer on it, click down then drag the image to your Desktop then it will appear on the Desktop as an image file.

Enable photo stream on your phone in Settings>iCloud, then sign into your iCloud account and enable photo stream on your computer (requires Vista SP2 or higher; see http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/pc.html).  After doing so, future photos added to the camera roll on your phone will automatically be streamed to your computer when your phone is connected to wifi with the camera app closed, provided it has at least 20% battery life remaining.
You can import existing camera rolls to your computer with your usb cable as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083.

  • How can I download my photos from iphoto to the external hard disk? thanks!

How can I download my photos from iphoto to the external hard disk? thanks!

This is our resident iPhoto guru, Terence Devlin's, advice:
You can move your iPhoto Library to an external disk or new Mac:
    1. Quit iPhoto
    2. Copy the iPhoto Library Folder as an entity from your Pictures Folder to the External Disk.
    3. Hold down the option (or alt) key while launching iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Choose Library' and navigate to the new location. From that point on this will be the default location of your library.
    4. Test the library and when you're sure all is well, trash the one on your internal HD to free up space.
