I have a curve 9300 and I want to download something that is not on app world It takes ages to find it when i hav e used it while out so i want to be able to click on it stright away

So, you are using now a web page for this (that is a guess, based on your statement of using a bookmark)? And you instead want an actual app for it? If so, you have to find out if the website you are using even has an app...if their web page has any contact information, you'd have to contact them to see if they even have what you desire.

How to view songs that are not in any playlist

I am using iTunes 6.04.
I want to be able to view songs in my Library that are not associated with ANY playlist. How can this be done? Please don't suggest to me upgrading to iTunes 7.02. (with every iTunes update, Apple makes is more difficult to do the things Apple doesn't want you to be able to do).

Run one of these scripts:
Not In Any Playlist will create a text listing of songs that are not in any playlist.
Not In Any Playlist To Playlist will put songs that are not in any playlist into a new playlist.

How to list files that are NOT in a .jar file?

Is it possible to list files (resources, .gif/.jpg files, etc.) that are NOT included in the jar but are still to be considered part of the application somewhere in the jnlp-file?
My applications requires lots of icons which I have put into .gif files. So far I kept them in individual files next to the .jar file and that worked fine.
JWS now seems to support only stuff that is included in (a) .jar-file(s). That in itself woul not be much of a problem, however, when I include my .gif files into the .jar files they seem to get corrupted by the jar-signing process (at least that what's the code says, which can suddenly not handle these images any more).

My previous seem to have been non-sense. The .gif file were not corrupted, but rather they were not found at all. They actually must NOT be included in the .jar file, or else they are not found. Strange enough, the .properties-file seemingly HAS to be in the .jar file to be found.
This is something I'll probably never fully understand with java: which file-types it searches where...

Will OS X Maverick affect my programs that are not Mac Apps?

I have several programs that are not downloaded from the Mac App store. They are Pro Tools Express and PrintMusic 2011. Will they be compatible with OS X Maverick?

You should check with the vendors to see their position. Do they have updates for compatiblity?
If Mavericks finds apps that are significantly incompatible you will see a message stating it is such. But, it's best to go to the sites for app you care about first.

How to identify SQL_PROFILES that are not being used?

In dba_hist_sqlstat table were found 26 Sql_Profiles, some of them are not used.
Questions:
- Is there any way to identify which one are not used?
I tried verifying DBA_SQL_PROFILES but this does not help to much.
- Analyzing one by one, Is the only way to find why they are not used?

You should be able to Join the views DBA_USERS and DBA_PROFILES to see whats in use. ( or not in use )

In the window called Library, under downloads (such as a word doc), there are numerous downloads that are not completed, and cannot be deleted (option grayed)..

It seems Firefox has downloaded a document or a picture to the desktop. On the top bar, there is an icon - small downward pointing arrow over a bar. When I click on that it brings up a history of my downloads (docs, pics, pdfs, etc.....NOT software downloads). There appears to be many previous downloads in this window, they appear to be done, but NOT completed and are just hanging there in never never land. By clicking on the bottom item (3 other items), it opens a window called Library. The second options to the left is downloads. The instructions tell you to click on the "Clear Downloads" on the upper bar (Next to Organize) and this will clear out all the downloads. This Clear Downloads is, however, grayed-out. There seems to be no other ways to clear this list. Any help would be appreciated....

My program is compiled with JDK 1.5 or 1.6 and retroweaved to 1.4.
If I do not take care I may type

Without casting to char it uses a method that exists only since 1.5 but not
yet in 1.4.
There are a few other methods that had been added since 1.5
Their use leads to NoSuchMethodError on 1.4 clients.
Their usage must be avoided.
How can I recognize them at compile time?
Or has anybody written a tool to check all method calls
whether they already exist in 1.4 ?
If not I would write it myself and probably will use the javap output.
After reading through the docs of java.lang.reflect.Method I guess that
there is no flag telling when a method had been introduced.

Since Elements 13, I can no longer add Places keywords that are not on a world map

I currently have Places keywords like 'Arizona 2015' and 'Buddy Guys Legends'. I now want to add more like 'Heathers House' or 'Route 66' but am now limited to places on the map. Is there a way around this, so I can be more specific?

Well you will find a number of us who have been asking the same questions for sometime. I went from PSE 9 to 12 and that's when the place functionality disappeared for me. I have been playing around now for sometime and here is a work around (this is really stupid and I'm happy for others to agree with me).
I have an external GPS (because my Camera doesn't have an internal) and I use GeoSetter to synchronise the GPS data to the camera images. GeoSetter also adds location tags (the Country, sometimes the State and nearest location name to where the image was taken) into the image EXIF data. Once all of the location tags have been added into the images, I import the images and tags into PSE. So the locations no longer appear with the normal Place Tags but in Imported Tags.
It's interesting that the images appear on the map in the correct location, but the only way to link the two together is the drag them to the map, which I don't want to do because a "Country" or "State" is not where the image was taken.
And my really stupid idea is... to use an EXIF editing tool to add the location names and then you have the Tags.
Well you could say that this is a really long and convoluted way of doing a very simple task... and I totally agree, but this is the only way I have been able to get the information into PSE.
Now considering this was stuffed on 12 and they didn't fix it for 13 they may get around to it by 14 or 15. This is ok for me because where I live we pay 3 times the U.S. price, so I skip a few releases to compensate. So I will have to wait for 15 to see if they have fixed it.

How do you add/use typekit fonts that are not edge web fonts?

I am just trying out the new Muse CC 2014.1 (August) release and was keen to try the new font facilities. As far as I can see that while I can now add other fonts for which I have downloaded web font files via the Self Hosted Web Fonts function, Typekit fonts that are not "Adobe Edge Web Fonts" are effectively unavailable? Have I missed something.
As an example I want to use the Proxima Nova web font family. I have selected it on the type kit site, set them up to Sync via my Creative Cloud account. So for example if I select a font in Photoshop CC or Illustrator, the Proxima Nova fonts appear. Even ok in Word for Mac. They do not appear in Muse.
To add them as self hosted web fonts, I would need to physically download the relevant fonts files and install them on my desktop using the OS-X font tool. However as they are being sync'd via Creative Cloud this shouldn't be necessary should it? Also I don't see an option for doing so on the typekit site.
Any help or guidance would be very welcome.
PS: I seem to have a separate issue with the Creative Cloud app, which is not listing fonts under the Assets tab. But I don't think that is related as they are working fine for Photoshop, etc.

I'm sorry that you ran into trouble with this. To add fonts from Typekit to your Muse website, you will want to use the web fonts path instead of desktop fonts. (You can use a desktop font synced from Typekit in your Muse design, but it will exported as an image the same as any other system font.)
There are a couple options for using Typekit web fonts in Muse:
o) The Muse Insider wrote a post on how to insert the Typekit embed code from the Muse interface:

o) Or you can add the embed code to the Page Properties dialog within Muse, which will include it in the <head> of the page when you export your website. The steps are the same as this tutorial, but you will add the Typekit embed code to Muse instead of into your page directly:

Note that in either case the Typekit fonts will not be displayed in the Muse preview window. You'll need to publish your site to a server in order for the Typekit fonts to be loaded into the page.

If the downloads are gone, it's possible that Windows is removing the downloads based on security policies set in IE. I realize that sounds strange, but it's related to Firefox's feature of submitting downloads to your virus scanner and marking them as having come from the internet.
To test this theory, you could try disabling the scan feature. I assume you have good "real time" antivirus protection which checks every file saved to your hard drive. (If not, you really should get that, and you can use Microsoft's free [http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/products/security-essentials Microsoft Security Essentials] for now until you have time to review all the available choices.)

The "missing file" error happens if the file is no longer where iTunes expects to find it. Possible causes are that you or some third party tool has moved, renamed or deleted the file, or that the drive it lives on has had a change of drive letter. It is also possible that iTunes has changed from expecting the files to be in the pre-iTunes 9 layout to post-iTunes 9 layout, or vice-versa, and so is looking in slightly the wrong place.
Select a track with an exclamation mark, use Ctrl-I to get info, then cancel when asked to try to locate the track. Look on the summary tab for the location that iTunes thinks the file should be. Now take a look around your hard drive(s). Hopefully you can locate the track in question. If a section of your library has simply been moved, or a drive letter has changed, it should be possible to reverse the actions.
If another application like Windows Media Player has moved/renamed the files then the chances are that subtle differences in naming strategies will make it hard to restore the media to the precise path that iTunes is expecting. In such cases, as long as the missing files can be found somewhere, you should be able to use my FindTracks script to reconnect them to iTunes. See this post for an explanation of how it works.
If you have to resort to trying to pull back the library from your iPod see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.
Note also that if iTunes has an entry for a song, even if that entry is broken, then it won't offer that track for download since it "thinks" you already have it. If you can't find the original files or recover them from a device, then you may need to delete the broken entries, close iTunes and reopen before you can access the past purchases.
