Wouldn't a one pixel oval be just a dot? Or are you meaning to say you want to draw an oval that has a one pixel wide edge?
If the latter, then select the oval marque tool, draw your oval, then stroke (edit> stroke) the selection with a one pixel stroke, using the color off your choice.
To draw a simple line:
• use the Pencil tool, set the thickness in the options bar. Click where you want the line to start, then move your mouse to where you want the line to stop and shift-click to draw a straight line to that end point. PS will connect the two points with the line. Or you can free hand the line - just click and draw.
• use the Path tool to draw your line, then pick your brush tool, set the pixel size, pick the color you want as your forground color, then in the Paths pallete drop down, select stroke path and pick the brush tool.
• use the Line tool, inside the shape tool box. Lots of options, just need to experiement.

  • How do you draw a tie of two notes in the score editor window

    How do you draw a simple tie in the score editor window of Logic Pro 10 ; two quarter notes together, an eighth up-beat accross a bar line into the next measure etc? I can't find the answer in videos, help manual.  Please give a step by step how to do it.
    It's hard to believe that a program like Logic, that has more information than the New York Public Library, does not have a simple solution for tieing notes. Maybe Logic XI will have one, or "Logicians" can speak to Sibelius for a more "note-worthy" way to solving the problem so that the score editor can be more accessible for editing purposes for those that read and write manuscript. Hi
    Ties are generally automatically created as necessary. Simply adjust the length of the note in the Score (using DurationBars or the Inspector), or in the Piano Roll or Event list.

    How do you draw a road?
    Looking to draw a road as part
    of a header for a courier website.
    I am using pse 9

    There's something at the bottom of your post, but it does not open.
    Be that as it may, this program is not well suited to drawing.
    You can draw a road scene yourself, if you wish, then scan it, and work further on the scan in PSE.
    You could photograph a road scene, use it for your header with added text.
    If you need help, post it here on the forum page (you can't do it via e-mail), and I'm sure you will receive further input.

  • How do you save µ-law in Audition CS6?  It's listed in the CS6 brochure.

    I've been waiting for Audition CS6 to show up so I didn't have to choose between the new features of Audition CS5.5 and then switch back to Audition CS3 to save to µ-law, but I can't find it in the save options.
    How do you save in the µ-law format?
    Thanks,

    Hi Phil,
    When you select File > Save As... set the Format: dropdown to libsndfile.  Click the Change... button for Format Settings: and you'll be able to select a file format that supports μ-law compression.
    As far as I am aware, the formats that support μ-law compression are:
    Waveform Audio
    Audio Interchange File Format
    Sun/NeXT AU format
    Raw Data
    Sphere NIST Format
    Creative Voice
    Berkeley/IRCAM/CARL
    Sonic Foundry/Sony Wave 64
    Microsoft WAVEFORMATEX
    Core Audio File Format

  • How would you draw a soccer goal?

    Hi guys,
    this might be really basic for the pro's out there, but I'm
    just a beginner with Fireworks.
    Basically, I'm trying to draw a soccer goal (at least the
    frame of it) making it look like metal. There are styles that
    provide this sort of finish in Fireworks, however, the problem is
    that I cannot come up with a shape for the purpose. If I just draw
    three lines (post, crossbar, post), and apply metal finish to them,
    they look cut off and not very nice. But a rectangular box
    obviously has the bottom line too much.
    How do you do that??
    Thanks for any tips,
    Jan

    Hmm.
    I did a Google search for images of soccer goals. I guess it
    depends on how stylized you want your image to be, or how
    realistic. I think a fairly realistic image would be on the
    difficult side.
    The tricky thing is that you're trying to represent something
    that is made of pipes (usually round), so you need to indicate this
    volume with shading. The shading on the crossbar won't be the same
    as the shading on the uprights. I also noted the welded joints
    where the crossbar attaches to the uprights. Somehow, you need to
    indicate these seams. Another thing that might help you is to use
    an angle which is not straight on. Perspective enhances realism.
    Many of the images I saw showed goals that have more pieces than
    just the uprights and crossbar, either at the top or the bottom to
    hold the net. Then, of course, there's the net. These details will
    help make your image look more realistic, and more like a goal. The
    metallic finish would really be the last thing to add realism. You
    need to get the shapes right, first.
    Before trying to draw a goal, study real ones. Here are a
    couple of different goals:
    goal
    post from rectangular pipe
    goal
    post from round pipe
    And...here's the
    Google
    search for soccer goal images.
    Good luck!

  • How do you display database in Dreamweaver CS6?

    Trouble displaying 'greendata' database in Dreamweaver CS6
    I am working on the exercise files for Adobe's Dreamweaver CS6 "Classroom In A Book", CH. 13 'Working with Online Data'. The problem I am facing is that the database provided in the exercise files ‘greendata’ is not being listed when I go to select a database.
    I followed the specific instructions; but, I am still new to Dreamweaver and programming.
    The MySQL Connection is working on the MySQL server 'localhost' with User name ‘root.’
    I have XAMPP installed on my computer to run MySQL/PHP. I already checked localhost using my web browser to make sure that the ‘greendata’ is listed as a database; yet, it is not listed from the options when I try to set it up in Dreamweaver.
    How can I solve this problem? Please help!
    I need to have the 'greendata' database displayed from the list of options under 'select' within the MySQL Connection in Dreamweaver.

    Thanks for those tutorials Nancy.
    I followed the insturctions and I am still having the same problem.
    The database that I create in phpMyAdmin is not being listed as an option within Dreamweaver. The connection is setup but I'm guessing that the problem is within XAMPP?
    Why is it that a database that I have created in XAMPP isn't being transfered to Dreamweaver?
    I've attached a few screenshoots to give you a better understanding of what I'm looking at. Hope someone can help!

  • How can you draw a thicker line!

    Hi,
    Do you know how to draw a thicker line without
    using Graphics2D? I can not use setStroke because
    if I use graphics2d class, the user have to download

    Use the end-points of your line to create a Polygon which provides a border round it, then use Graphics.fillPolygon.

    Clicking the line tool at the bottom of the Shapes button menu brings up the grey box shown above.
    Following those instructions to draw the three connected line segments shown:
    Place the mouse pointer (pen nib) at point 1. Click (and release).
    Move the pointer to point 2. Click (and release).
    Move the pointer to point 3. Click (and release).
    Move the pointer to point 4. Click (and release).
    Press the esc(ape) key.
    Done.
    My guess is that you either missed the 'and release' part or the 'press escape to finish' part.

  • How do you draw RenderedImages?

    I am using the following code to read a multipage tiff file and i want to display each page in the applet.
    File file = new File("C:\\sample2.tif");
    try{
    SeekableStream ss = new FileSeekableStream(file);
    ImageDecoder decoder = ImageCodec.createImageDecoder("tiff", ss, null);
    int numPages = decoder.getNumPages();
    RenderedImage image[]= new RenderedImage[numPages];
    originalImages = new Image[numPages];
    inUseImages = new Image[numPages];
    When debuging it tells me the exact number of pages there are.
    But i have no idea how to draw the image. Any sample code or help will be greatly appreciated. thanks.

    Go to the API page for RenderedImage:
    http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/docs/api/java/awt/image/RenderedImage.htmlLook at the top line where there are the links "Overview      Package      Class      Use      Tree      Deprecated      Index      Help "
    and follow the Use link. Now, do you know how to create a component to draw an image?
    By the way, you can also use the javax.imageio packages of the J2SE to read

  • How do you draw a rectangle in JavaScript?

    I am developing an ASP.NET application. There is an image on one of my pages. Users need to be able to draw a rectangle on which part of the image they want to zoom-in to. Basically, when the user clicks on the image, that XY location will be one corner of the rectangle. As the user moves the mouse over the image, I want to be able to show the rectangle. Once they let go of the mouse, I need to send those coordinates to the server and perform the zoom operation.
    Does anyone have code that does this?

    How, exactly, did you decide that a forum called "New

    question??Well he is clearly new to java technology since he dosn't realize that java and javascript are two completley different things.

  • How do you create a site in CS6

    What the heck happened to the interface? I create a new site, I click on server and get a gray window. That's it. Where or how am I supposed to enter the site name, server, UN, PW, etc, etc? Also, how do I find the same info on sites I've already created? I guess having a next button like in previous versions made too much sense do they had to do away with it.

    Hi,
    Try this!
    and then this;
    if your website is not going to be dynamic, that is not involving a database then you do not need to complete the rest for the time being. If you are uploading it to an external server than complete the server panel
    Here is the server panel annotated. Only specify your remote if you have a local server, the server on your machine / laptop.

  • CS4...How do you draw/paint in pure black & white?

    Sorry for the dumb questions but I'm absolutely new to this stuff and I'm getting a lot of great info here which I'm keeping meticulous notes of...
    I've figured out how to paint with CS4 in colors and "near" black/grey/ white (by going to the extreme left of the color square in any given color but it still seems as if if it's influenced by the "parent" color whose square I happen to be choosing from within. Is there a "pure monochrome black/grey/white range" of tones that I'm missing somewhere and, if so, what's the procedure for toggling back and forth quickly/easily between this monochrome and color?
    Thanks.

    Since we don't have multiple mode images, you might consider doing your 'pen and ink' black and white image in one grayscale document and then saving that image again under a different name in rgb to do your color work. Make sure you are doing your grayscale work on a layer with transparency over a white background. That way you can save the grayscale image layer with transparency and overprint it over your color gouache work as a separate file, black over color, so to speak. Use your black layer in your rgb image as a guide then turn it off to save your color work to print separately.
    Actually, you may get just as good a result with less fuss by following the "0,0,0 is pure black; 255,255,255 is pure white" rule for your b&w illustration layer and do your colors on other layers.
    I don't have experience with 'Painter' but you might want to check into that program if you want another take on using watercolor or other illustration styles in your document.
    Post a link to your work here. We want to see the results of our recommendations please.
    Thanks,
    Ken
