How do you duplicate a form
i used to be able to duplicate a blank form, have my clients complete and then save under their names. Since this software updated I have not been able to do this. How do you duplicate and rename a file? Does anyone know?
You're probably using Acrobat if you can duplicate pages like that. This is the Adobe Reader forum...
To answer your question, though: The only way this can be done automatically, without having to manually rename each field, is to use a Template to spawn new pages. This is something the form's author should have done, but you can do it yourself as well, using some code.

It depends on which print you're working.
If it's a print of standard document you can check the NAST (VSTAT field) table in order to know if the document was printed.
If a message is created you can find the hit in NAST table:
VSTAT = 0, document not printed;
VSTAT = 1, documment printed
VSTAT = 2, print is failed
If you mean a custom print I believe you need to create a log like NAST table.

AngieThere are only two ways to process form data -
1. Use mailto:[email protected] as the action of the form
2. Use a server-side scripting method to a) harvest the
form's data, b)
process it in some manner, e.g., enter it into a database, c)
formulate and
send an email to one or more email recipients, and d)
redirect the visitor
to some ending page
Method 1 is quite simple, and is also the least reliable. It
depends both
on your visitor having an email client already installed on
their computer -
this eliminates public computers, or home users without email
clients
installed (more and more it seems) - and on the installed
email client
responding to
the mailto call. It is not possible to use this method *and*
send the
visitor to a
thank you page as well.
Method 2 is the preferred method, since it eliminates the
problems of method
1, but it means that you have to grapple with
server-scripting somehow (ASP,
CF, PHP, perl, etc.).
You would have to decide which of these methods is best for
your needs,
but if it's Method 2, then start by asking your host what
they provide for
form
processing.

As long as you have all of the content in your library then that remove and sync warning shouldn't cause any loss of data, but it shouldn't be happening every time. It may pay to take the following steps to reset the connection between the two,
Backup device.
Restore as a new device.
Restore the backup made earlier.
Again, this assumes all content on the device is in your library. If that isn't the case see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device first.

The Situation (again, I have a Mac): I am filling out a 5 job application- it is PDF format, with questions, and fill in the blanks for your information- such as name, date, and employment history. Page 3, is the page used for employment history. But, there is only room for two jobs on page 3. The instructions tell you, you can "have as many page three's" as you want. In my case, I will be putting 8 jobs- at two jobs per page, that is a total of 4 page three's. I already know how to duplicate a PDF page, simply by opening the thumbnail viewer on the side, holding down the "alt" key, and clicking and dragging the desired page to create a duplicate. So what is the problem??? When you duplicate the page, the boxes into which you type, are linked. So if on the original, you type "Job A", into the experience box, it forces the same answer on the duplicate page, making it impossible to describe different positions!!!! Is there a way to work around that? Thank you!!!!!

How can you edit a form that you've already created?
I'm not referring to the form fields. I mean if you have a typo for example in the docuyment you created from InDesign and now you need to go back and correct it. How can you do that and maintain all the fields you've already created?

No need to be embarrassed. That gets a lot of people. Most assume (and I did too at one point) that replace pages does that, replaces the page and everything on it. -

How do you scroll in forms on a Mac?
Okay I just noticed something. On a PC, when Im on a form or something, when I press tab to go from one box to another, it would also go through the drop down menus. But on the Mac, it skips the drop down menus, so I would have to actually use the mouse which is a hassle. How can you fix that?
And also, on the PC, when you have a drop down menu selected, you can scroll through it with the up and down buttons. Like on photoshop, you could scroll through the blending options and see its effects quickly with each one by just quickly pressing the buttons... But on the Mac, I dont know how to do that, I have to click each one indivisually. How can I fix that?

I can select a Blending Mode in with the mouse but I cannot cycle through the options using shift -/+
Notice that even tho I have the dropdown selected, the opacity slider is the form element with focus.
Is there a way around this?

It's not my interest to explain to you how to do something but I do feel obligated to tell others that what you're telling them is not completely safe. Please understand that I have in fact informed you of the vulnerabilities of your insecure script for as long as we have corresponded, even after the "security" amendment to your page, which is nothing more than a copy of someone else's work of which you unfortunately did not completely understand. No surprise there though given your frequent ignorance of the subject in the messages we have exchanged. I do remember saying something about a year ago to you mentioning your discreet, sweep under the rug mentality of the importance of having a secure script. Yep, that's basically what I told you over a year ago. I know that some have been using your email script to inject mail through the headers for sometime now. No one is sending you emails through your contact form anyway since the spry validation is broken, so injection of your server script is the only way to send emails from your contact page for users who have javascript enabled anyway. Perhaps you will now realize that your suggestions may be hurting others rather than helping them, opposite of what my posts regularly achieve. I look forward to your cognitive posts from now on with eagerness and openness to actually learn the methods that others are continuously trying to educate you on so that you will not continue to misinform others as you have been doing for as long as I can remember, which is longer than a year mind you. If you want to cross your arms across your chest and shrug and grunt that nothing is wrong with your script because you tested it that's fine, but when you start telling others to use it and that it's fine that's when the_shocker says whoa dude... it's not fine. Sorry to blow your ego. Hey im very new to illustrator- but i really need to do this project. I am unable to learn the basics because of time.

Basically i want to edit the forms of a san serif type ( or make my own (if it is easy)) .
I want to edit type because im making an animation where the font letters are morphing in to other letters.

i can draw this - the problem is that im gonna have to 100s if i want a smooth animation and i would of thought using illustrator would be alot quicker and i can use more frames.

You may have a look at blends.
If you wish to have a number of steps from one shape to another (outlined Type or whatever), you may:
1) Place the start shape to the left and the end shape to the right (with the centres at the same Y value) with a suitable distance so yo can see what you are doing;
2) Object>Blend>Blend Options, set Spacing to Specified Steps with the number of inbetween shapes, set Orientation to Align to Page or Path as desired, if relevant;
3) Select both shapes form 1) and Object>Blend>Make.
You can now see all the intermnediate shapes. You can Undo and make changes, and you can Object>Blend>Expand if you wish to have all the steps as independent objects (you may Ungroup them).
You can also make a blend between three or more objects to start with, with the same distances and number of steps between the original shapes, and you can combine (the objects from) blends. -

After R&D I found that, it is very much possible to execute a form without connecting to Database.
Example:
Step 1: Create a new form 'Form1'
Step 2: Create a block 'Block1' and add button'But1'. Write a exit_form built-in on when-button-pressed trigger on 'But1' and compile it.
Step 3: Create a on-logon trigger at form level and just give a message('on-logon');
Step 4: Execute the form.
The form executes perfectly without asking any connection to the database. On-Logon trigger initiates a logon process to non-oracle data source.

How do you distribute your forms? Can I put them on a site?
I am hoping you can answer another question for me. Its regarding distribution. It seems that forms can only be filled out when they are sent you the person which seems kind of laboring and we don’t have time to have people request that they need to fill out a form, and then us sending it to them.
Is there a way to have the form on a website that allows people to access it, fill it out, and submit it whenever they need to? Instead of asking to send it to them?Srini, putting them on a website as a link is exactly what I am trying to do. This is possible with acroforms but when i convert my acroform to a livecycle form, i seem to lose that functionality because of the XML nature that it now has.
I work in a small department and no one wants to pay money to purchase something else. We meet the 500 user EULA for sure.
If you know how I can do this and where I can get more information, I would apprecate it. I am freaking out at work because I got everyones hopes up and now I dont know if it is capable of doing wat I said it would. -
Newbie Q: "Submit by Email" - How do you send entire form?
I've created a nice form and now would like to use the "Submit by Email" button. But from what I gather it just sends some data and not the whole form. So this begs this question... How does one send the whole form?
Also in my preliminary testing of the form, when I click on this button it gives me the error message: "An error occurred while sending mail." That tells me squat.
Anyway I'm not looking to do perform alot of coding here, I just want to use this feature as it suggests. Is that too much to ask?1. If you want to submit the whole PDF you can choose that, but
realise that EVERYONE using this form will need to own Acrobat. This
is Adobe's marketing stategy, of course they want to sell Acrobat to
everyone. Similarly, the JavaScript method quoted isn't in the free
Reader (last time I checked).
2. E-mail is an incredibly bad way to submit forms for many, many
reasons. Just some of them are
* e-mail can get lost
* e-mail can be mistaken for spam and deleted
* e-mail can be blocked because the recipient is sent a big file that
puts them over quota
* sending e-mail depends on the user having a working e-mail client
set up on their machine. Millions of people don't, and use hotmail
instead.
* users may have multiple e-mail clients, and stuff put into the wrong
one ends up in their outbox, unsent, forever.
Submission should be to a web server. As I said, how many web sites do
you see that "submit" an e-mail? There is a reason for this. What is
an acceptable proportion of lost forms for you?

HDV import in iMovie '09? i have to import DV then export HD?
i'm an FCP editor who's having an issue importing in FCP for some reason. i thought as a workaround i could use iMovie to capture and just bring that mov into FCP. I have a Canon HV30. when i capture it imports in DV. Is this how it's supposed to be?
