How do you easily "mass" delete mail in iOS 7
I have 2,100 unread messages since updating to iOS 7. How do I easily mass-delete the unread messages?
Not that i am aware of. In order to delete you have to click edit button on your top right and choose one by one.
Or you can try this, click edit on your top right and click mark all on your lower left, mark everything as read, if you don't have that, mark everything as in read and mark it as read.
Good luck.

How do you create folders in mail in iOS eight?
Can anyone tell me if there a way to create new folders in the mail in IOS 8? I'm not talking about POP or IMAP-I don't know what these are and I don't care. In the previous iOS versions, I have always been able to simply create a new folder. Once again, please don't explain about pop and IMAP. I couldn't care less about these things that I have always gotten by fine without. I just want to create a new folder in my stupid email like I have been doing for the last 15 years.
A simple how to (__>___>__>) would be very highly appreciated. No offense to anyone but I'm really not looking for a long saga or your life story. If you don't know the answer please don't offer me a bunch of suggestions. Thanks a lot.If the account allows the creation of folders (if it's set up as a POP account on your iPad then you won't be able to create new folders) then go to the screen with the list of folders that you currently have on the account, tap the Edit button at the top right of that list, and you should then get a 'New Mailbox' button at the bottom right of that list - tap that, type in the folder's name, and select where you want it to go.

I somehow lost the ability to mass delete mail using the "edit" and check off function. The "delete" option no longer pops up at the bottom of the screen. Has Apple done away with this option in the latest software update or what?
look here how to back up:

Inside mail, how do you find and delete old useless messages
inside mail, how do you find and delete old useless messages, there are thousands of them.
go thru all your mail boxes, and delete, all your synced boxes, highlight the stuff you want to trash, click delete.
Go thru all the boxes and do the delete, then go to your server trash, and delete.
You canthen go to on my mac and do the same thing.
This is way different than 10.6.8, and I'm sure there is a much better way to do this, but at least it will get rid of some junk.
Sorry this all I can offer.
I'm sure someone who has been working with OS can offer a much better path. -

Set it up again. If you didn't delete anything from the mail server, everything should sync right back up.

You can recover to an iCloud or iTunes backup that contains the note. With no backup you are out of luck.

How can you remove your e-mail on your profile? (Apple Support)
I don't think you can remove your email. If you are concerned about privacy make sure you have it set so that you are the only one who can view it. You do this under the privacy settings under Your Stuff - Profile " If you want to change your email you can go here to make changes.

How do you create folders in mail app? Is there a way in 3GS IOS 5?
How do you create folders in mail app? Is there a way in 3GS IOS 5?
Russell D wrote:
This is very disappointing, and i find it hard to believe that Apple would do this intentionally. It worked on previous versions of email application. Apple please don't dishonor the image of Steve Jobs this way. Fix this right away. I can't think of anything more basic than being able to organize the email that you download into folders. This absolutely ***** ... What a stinker.....
I can't think of anything more idiotic than invoking the memory of Jobs here. Are you truly unaware that the iPad and iOS is pretty much exactly the way he wanted it to be, just like about everything else Apple?
As to your claim of "previous email applications", certainly none in iOS ever did that, and the only folders you can create and manipulate in POP accounts are those local to only that single machine or platform, not particularly helpful or desirable in today's environments. -
How do you move emails in Mail (5.3) to a flash drive so that it appears as it does in Mail my MacBook OS 7.5?
Can you explain in more detail what it is you want to do? I'm not clear how moving messages to a flash drive would make them appear as they do under Lion.

How do you turn your outgoing mail server to online vs offline?
How do you turn your outgoing mail server to online vs offline
I had this problem too but I fixed it today. I have been unable to send emails with two of my 4 accounts.
Go to the mail menu preferences.
Click on account in question.
Select the outgoing SMTP mail server (the one offline), this has a drop down list, click on the edit server list.
Click on the advanced button.
Make sure use default port is checked.
Make sure SSL is unchecked (unless your provider requires it, mine does not work with it checked).
Have authentication set to password.
User name should be your email address for that account.
Make sure correct password is entered (for some strange reason my password box was blank on this account).
Push the ok button.
For me the SSL box was checked and the password was missing. This is strange to me considering I have unchecked the SSL Box on the mail preference advance page. Also, I went through the complete set up account when I first created the account, why was my outgoing server password box empty?
I hope this helps.
Here is a link to some visual aids with the steps from my ISP
