How do you either set "Show More Tiles" or Start Screen rows via command line or script for Windows 8.1?

Is there a method to change the Start Screens number of rows (similar to Windows 8.0's use of the Explorer\Scaling\MonitorSize in registry). Possibly by forcing the switch for "Show More Tiles" via script etc? This is to enable the device with
Windows 8.1 to be built using a deployment methodology like SCCM and have the Tiles correctly configured as required for a standard look and feel across devices. I do not know why all these switches are not represented in either WMI or the registry to enable
the customization of look and feel out of the box for enterprise deployments.

Where is "Show More Tiles"

I have heard and read about an option in the Settings panel of Windows 8 when you are on the Start menu, called "Show More Tiles". I am running Windows 8 Enterprise RTM and do not see this option. I am running on a laptop with 1600x900 resolution, but
I am even trying this when docked and I have a 1920x1080 resolution monitor and still don't see it.
Is anyone familiar with this option and why I might not see it?

I was having a similar issue With my Surface Pro 2 and Win 8.1. I had the Surface Pro 2 set to 100% display scaling, and the "Show More Tiles" option checked but the number of rows of tiles on the start screen only showed 4 rows.
But when I used my laptop that has a native resolution of (1680x1050) and used it to remote desktop into my Surface Pro 2 my Surface Pro 2 under remote desktop would show 6 rows of tiles even though the screen resolution was smaller.
Also when I used the Surface Pro 2 to remote desktop into my desktop machine at (1920x1080) My desktop was showing 6 rows of tiles.
I also tried the registry hack proposed by AnthonyDaand did the fallowing ...
-Open regedit
-Go to \HKEY_Current_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\ImmersiveShell\Grid
-Change the key "Layout_MaximumRowCount" to the number of rows you want.
-You need to log off & log in again in order to apply it.
The Layout_MaximumRowCount entry was not there so I created it and set it to 6 but I was still only getting 4 rows of tiles after logging off and back on.
I finally tracked down a settings switch under "Charms->Settings->Change PC Settings->PC and Devices->Display->More Options" There was a combo box with 2 options "Default" and "Smaller". Selecting smaller made everything under the metro interface
smaller and I then had 6 rows of tiles showing up on my start screen.
Posting this as many people seems to be having the same issues. But did not see this being mentioned.

National Instrument's solution is either reformat you drive to less than 126GB or replace the drive with one less than that size.
Please NI, tell me you are going to fix your LabVIEW Real Time soon, and that we won't have to wait for LabVIEW RT 9.2.1 in 2011 for this one to be fixed.

Drives as large as 126GB or more have been around since about mid 2002. That's about 7 Years now and LabVIEW Real Time STILL can't use drives larger that 126GB! Please NI. Do something.
We deserve fixes to the old versions of LabVIEW RT. How about updates to LabVIEW RT. Such as 7.0.2, 7.1.2, 7.6.2, 8.0.2, 8.2.2, 8.6.2.
We don't need new features or versions of LabVIEW RT such as 9.0 until we have some of bugs fixed in the existing versions.

The RealTime OS is an NI Product that is purchased from NI.
NI may or may not outsource design, developement, or manufacturing of the products that it sells under its own Company name.
For this reason I would be concerned if I were a PXI Embedded Controller designer/developer in the United States.
Yes, 126GB is some space. I see that there are now 2TB drives available. 126GB would be 6.3% of a new 2TB drive. Should we all be happy with being able to use 6.3% of the available drive space. Moore's Law seams to be alive and well. Drives larger than 126GB have been readily available for 5 or 6 Years. This should not be a surprise to NI. Why don't they do something about it.
Thanks for the trivia on Bill Gates. I must have missed that one since I don't try to keep up with Microsoft. I believe that he is a wonderful person and he and his family are doing wonders for the world in their "retirement". The world needs more like him.
What I do remember is Steve Jobs telling us that we would never need more that 128MB and that we would never to need to do anymore software development because everything was already in the "ToolBox".

There are a few options.
If you wish to use your full library you will need to do so through home sharing.
Setting up Home Sharing for Apple TV (2nd generation and 3rd generation)
You can also setup a screensaver via Apple TV settings. You can choose to use your photo stream or select photos through home sharing (approx 100 images will be temporarily cached to the device)
If you want to create a custom slideshow on your computer, you can create a movie and home share via iTunes. Mirroring is another way, but you would need to use a 3rd party program (i.e. Airparrot) since your computer doesn't meet the requirements for that.

Yes, I brute force my way through it. I analyzed the file before and after a preference change to find the data changed. FYI, the "data" portion of the iTunesPrefs.xml file appears to be Base64-encoded. Strings are UTF8.
If you want more support from apple, you would probably need to buy an higher-level ADC account.
You can also try submitting an enhancement request through http://bugreport.apple.com (requires at least a free ADC Online account)

You're in trouble. You'll have to force the phone into recovery mode & restore it to remove the passcode:
Leave the USB cable connected to your computer, but NOT your phone, iTunes running, press & hold the home button while connecting the USB cable to your dock connector, continue holding the home button until you see “Connect to iTunes” on the screen. You may now release the home button. iTunes should now display that it has detected your phone in recovery mode, if not quit and reopen iTunes. If you still don’t see the recovery message repeat these steps again. iTunes will give you the option to restore from a backup or set up as new.

There is wasted space on multiple toolbars that could be utilized better by moving one tool bar's items up to the empty space above. IE Norton's tool bar has 3 / 4 items on it. The Firefox tool bar above has 3 items on it: Most Visited, Getting Started and Firefox Updated with 2/3's of the bar as empty space.
Even the menu toolbar has over half of the toolbar as empty wasted space.

You can (temporarily) hide unneeded toolbars via "View > Toolbars"
The bar with Most Visited and Getting Started is the Bookmarks Toolbar and if you open "View > Toolbars > Customize" then you can drag the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" item onto another toolbar (e.g. Menu bar) and hide that now empty Bookmarks toolbar.<br />
Toolbars added by an extension can only be merged onto another toolbar if that extension supports that feature and most extensions do not.

Try:
