How do you execute JavaGUI remotely X11? Help

Hi Guys
Can anyone please advise, how i can execute and view my JavaGUI remotely from a SunOS to my Windows PC using SSH or Telnet?
I have done some web searches and found some information, which i have tried, but im not sure what im doing wrong. Just ref, im behind a router at home.

I have a customer with a MAC at both office and home. When she is a home she would like to remote into her work computer (okay'ed by her boss) to work on various things (she is a graphics artist).
How do you guys do remote access? Do you have anything like Linux's XRDP?
What ports and what protocol (TCP, UDP) do you use?

So something like Goodreader or Dropbox would work...if the files are *.doc's you could use Quick Office Pro HD to edit them. An iPad probably isn't the place to do complicated edits, however...either of these apps will allow a file local to the iOS device to be stored, then sent to another app such as Quick Office Pro HD...or you could also have the files stored in an email folder in say, Outlook, and then have that folder sync to the iOS device OTA with the iOS Exchange client...

How do you set the remote only to work with the MacBook and not the Hi-Fi.

I have a Hi-Fi Apple stereo hooked up to my Macbook but when I use the Apple remote, it controls both things.
So if I am scrolling through my music in Frontrow then the volume on the Hi-Fi stereo is turning down or up depending on which way I am scrolling.
My question is:
How do I make the remote work with only my MacBook?

Pair the remote with your macbook by isolating it point the remote at it while holding down the menu and next buttons. You see like a chain appear and that will mean the remote is paired. Now only the macbook will only respond to the macbooks remote. Do the same with the Hi-Fi remote and now the hi-fi will only work with the hi-fi remote.

All you should have to do is be connected to the same Network as your ATV. When you launch the Remote App, it should ask if you want to approve it to another library or set up family sharing. If you set up family sharing you enter you same iCloud information. And Voila. That is the easiest.

How do you reinstall HP Remote Solution Application after installing Windows 8

Well, I goofed! I inadvertently uninstalled the HP Remote Solution Application after I had installed Windows 8. I now want to reinstall it but the application first checks for the presence of Windows 7 and therefore, the installation stops. Does anyone know how to get around this? I used 7-ZIP to break the program into pieces, (sp44385), and there are two executables: Install.exe and hpprobar.exe. The install.exe gets you to the dialog box that finally says, "Yes or No" to install it but it then fails because of Windows 8 being installed. If you executre hpprobar.exe by it self, you get the dialog box with the scrolling bars but nothing ever happens. There are also two DLL files; wbdib44i.dll and cpc_dmird.dll.
Anyone have any ideas?

If the problem is occurring intermediately, then another program may be interfering with the software. Try disabling the Startup programs and see if the remote works after that. For instructions on managing Startup items follow the OPTION ONE section of the following thread: How to Manage Startup Items in Windows 8.
The other thing I would like to mention is the software package you downloaded is meant for a different TouchSmart computer, as such it may not work correctly with your Remote and you may have "iffy" reliability at best.

How do you execute a JAR file?

I'm sorry this is so basic, but I honestly do not know how to do this nor can I find anything online here or anywhere via Google to help me with this one.
I have a JAR file that I created on another machine using JDK 1.6.0 and NetBeans 5.5 on WinXP.
I copied and pasted that JAR file over to my machine at home also using JDK 1.6.0 and NetBeans 5.5 on WinXP
I put the exact directory name where the JAR file resides, "C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0\classes", in CLASSPATH and rebooted my machine.
However, upon CD'ing to that directory and doing "java -classpath . GUI.jar", I get a "NoClassDefFoundError" when trying to do so.
Furthermore, I was not sure how to use NetBeans to run the JAR file to execute the classes within.
What did I do wrong? I'm so sorry this is so basic.

You are using netbeans to build your jar. Go to your project properties (right click on the project name and choose properties). Then select "Run" from the tree. You will find a text box "Main Class" there, put the name of the class in there that has your main() method, including full package if you have one. That is WITHOUT the .class extension.
Build your jar, it will be placed in the dist directory of your netbeans project. You can now run it from netbeans itself if you want. If ever you want to run the jar from the command line on your home machine, just navigate to the directory with the jar file and execute this:
java -jar yourjar.jarand you're off. If your runtime environment is propertly setup you can even execute the jar by simply double clicking on it from the windows explorer. No need to change the CLASSPATH variable at all, in fact it is ignored when executing a jarred application.
Also a note: you do not need to reboot your machine when you change an environment property. Simply change them using my computer -> properties -> advanced tab -> environmental variables. If you have any command prompts open, close and reopen them so the properties are updated properly.

How do you do a remote rollover?

So Im trying to create a remote rollover in an html page.
I knew how to do it in Image Ready and GoLive.
Now that Im using Dreamweaver and Photoshop CS3, I now dont
know.
Do you have to use Fireworks? (I would assume there is a
built in way to assign remote rollover behaviors in FW)

That's how you do it. Select the trigger (text or image) and
apply a swap
image behavior. In the behavior pane that opens, select the
image you want
to swap out, and browse to and select the one you want to
replace it. To
swap another image, repeat that process, until you run out of
images. Then
click OK to close the behavior pane.

How do you execute macros in excel using forms--urgent

i want to execute a macro which is in excel from forms. i am using the dde built in. how ever when given the command
dde.execute ( conv_id,'[module1.macro1()]', 1000 );
i get an oracle error. and the macro does not get executed.
how ever when the same was tried for word it worked.
can any one help me in this regards

Hello Form Friends,
After R&D I found that, it is very much possible to execute a form without connecting to Database.
Example:
Step 1: Create a new form 'Form1'
Step 2: Create a block 'Block1' and add button'But1'. Write a exit_form built-in on when-button-pressed trigger on 'But1' and compile it.
Step 3: Create a on-logon trigger at form level and just give a message('on-logon');
Step 4: Execute the form.
The form executes perfectly without asking any connection to the database. On-Logon trigger initiates a logon process to non-oracle data source.

How do you setup a remote project with Netbeans 6.1 and IDM 8?

I have been using Netbeans with IDM 7.1 fine, but have now upgraded to IDM 8 and want to use the new Netbeans plugin. However there is no ide-bundle.zip with IDM 8. If you try to connect to IDM 8 using the previous bundle from 7.1 you get a compatability error. Anyone able to give help on this?

I have setup a remote project using the other setting of configuring the repository yourself. I couldn't use the remote method as it requires this file from your localhost file store and as I am using a different machine to run netbeans this wouldn't work. The other method allows you to put in connection information.
I am not sure of the point of the remote method as it doesn't allow what the name suggests.

How to you prevent disabling remote login via managed preferences?

this doesn't seem to be an obvious setting.
i want to disable our users from disabling remote login on their machines. some of them know how to do this.
everyone has moblie home accounts, btw.

your 2nd suggestion is more towards what i am looking to do.
we have WGM with User, Computer, Groups, and Computer Groups. right now, we aren't managing any preferences and we do make the users local admins on their machines after their first login/Home Sync.
i was hoping to add a manifest to WGM in Preferences/Details, but i am not sure if this is possible and if it is, i don't know how to do it.
we have users in remote sites that connect to our network via vpn and sometimes i need to remotely access their machines. but i can't on those that turn it off, obviously.

Try unplugging ATV. When the reset menu comes up and askes you if you want to restart unpair the remote.

How do you restore your iPod? HELP ASAP PLEASE!!

Okay, i've had my iPod for awhile, and this is the first problem i've ever had!
When i plug in my iPod into iTunes, a pop-up comes up and says :
"iTunes cannot read the contents of the iPod 'Kelsey's IP."' Use the iPod UPDATER to restore the iPod to Factory settings"
I have NO idea what that means, i tried to reset it, but nothing happened? I went to preferences, and it doesnt even recognize that my Nano is plugged into the computer anymore! This happened after i plugged my Nano in, took it out of the connector, and then plugged it in again, and it didn't recognize it! PLEASE HELP ME! I don't know how to fix this & Don't know what i need to do to fix this!

Hello Kelsey!
Before you do a restore, first try to get your computer recognizing your iPod by putting it into disk mode, then connecting it to your computer again. See the details laid out here:

If you believe you need to restore your iPod, then I'll explain here how to restore your iPod.
Plug in your iPod.
Close iTunes if it is currently running.
Go to: "START -> All Programs -> iPod -> iPod Updater [the date of your iPod Updater's version]".
Open the iPod Updater. When it recognizes your iPod, click on the "Restore" button. Restoring should take about 5 minnutes.
Note that restoring your iPod will delete all the contents off of it, but will not affect your iTunes library.
If you have any trouble with restoring your iPod, or need any other explanation, just post back, and I'll be here to help you...I hope this helped!

How can you execute a function while the mouse is over a button.

I've got a movieclip I want to move across the screen on the x axis to the left or right depending on which button the user hovers their mouse over.
I thought I could do this with the following:
right_btn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_OVER, moveRight);
left_btn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_OVER, moveLeft);

     sampleMovieclip_mc.x += 1;
function moveLeft(e.MouseEvent):void

But I find that it only moves it 1 pixel when the mouse first goes over the button and not continiously as it stays over it. I tried using Event.ENTER_FRAME to call the moveRight and moveLeft functions, but it just keeps going and I'm not sure how to kill the function once they move the mouse off of the button.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
