How do you find a table that doesn't have a specific word in it.

I have two questions.
questions 1
How do you find a table that doesn't have a specific word in it by using a query on the whole database?
questions 2
How would i list all of my cars names in my database not showing duplicates?
I have tried, tried and tried some more to get both of these, but I guess i don't know how to query a specific word.
I also don't know how to query everything in just 1 column name.
If anyone could help with these that would be great I have been trying queries for over an hour now and no luck.

If your data model is at all reasonable, I would expect that you would just want
SELECT *
FROM cars
WHERE model = 'Mustang'
AND color != 'Red'but I can't see how this would relate to data stored in multiple tables.

How can I replicate a source table that doesn't have any primary keys?

We have transactional replication setup in our workplace.
In the source database, there are some tables that do not have any primary key.
1) How can I get these tables to replicate in the current scenario?
2) Is it possible to introduce foreign elements in a replicated instance of the database?
Example, additional records in a table that don't exist in the source or additional tables in the database?

1) You need to add a primary key to this table. There must be a criteria that the app uses to identify which row it wants to up date or delete. If not you might be able to add an identity column to the table and then add a primary key to it. If this is not
possible you might want to use snapshot replication or CDC to do change tracking and then something like SSIS or service broker to move the change to the destination server.
2) yes, but be careful. They should not modify the schema or the data of tables which are being replicated.

How do you sort a table that contains links to cells in another table?

This is something that I used to be able to do in Numbers but since 2 or 3 updates ago this doesn't seem to happen.
The problem I have is that I have a table that includes cells that are a sum of a number of cells from another table. When I try and sort by a column all the info in the cells change because, I imagine, the commands linking to the cells in the other table are offsetting by however many rows a particular row has moved.
This didn't used to happen; it used to hold on to the same data and links regardless of where the sort function moved a row to.
Had a look through the help pages but can't find anything about it. Has anyone found a way around this?

Hi mmatt,
There are several ways to create sort-safe formulas. Without knowing what you are doing in your table it is hard to give specific advice but in general INDEX(), OFFSET() and I think INDIRECT() are sort safe- ie they will ocntinue to point to the same cell wherever they are in your sort.
If you want specific advice you would need to provide more info.

How do you find a file that has been replaced?

I might have accidentally replaced a word file with the same name from something else, and now I can't find the original. Is the original gone for good or is there some place else that I can check? It is a school paper and I am freaking out it is due the end of this week.

He meant, do you have a system backup via Time Machine, Carbon Copy Cloner, etc.? That's the shortest way to restore your complete system and data when (not if) your hard drive dies.

If you want an API to get this information, you can use the wwsec_api.grantee_list function.
For this function, the p_name that is passed is dependent on the type of object you're inquiring about.
For a folder the p_name would be constructed by the site_id || '/' || corner_id.
The site_id is the content area id and the corner id is the folder id.

After three months the battery is certainly dead. The ipod would have to be powered on and connected to wi-fi to track it, and that is ONLY if you had set up find my ipod before it was lost

Report based on fact tables that don't have the same dimensionality

Hi all
I want to combine in the same report different measures from different fact tables that doesn't have the same dimensionality,for example:
measure 1 linked to dimensions : time geography and product
measure 2 linked to dimensions : time and geography
Currenctly when I create a report like:
time----gepgraphy---product------measure 1-----measure 2 I don't have any data for measure2 because it's not linked to the product dimension.
The exact report is year---store name---product area name----- store sales-----number of visitors : the number of vistors doesn't have any relation with the product dimension.
Is there a way to create this kind of report??

This issue had been discussed already many times. Stijn, John, Kishore etc. have all answered this question for the one or the other user. This forum has a search functionality for a reason. To first look for information and then ask your question. Why wait - potentially - a couple of hours for an answer that's one search away?

I tried to use the attached command through TERMINAL :

Use -help for a list of options.
But i didn't work as I got the above error message.

I'm in the same boat as you -- except that I manage both a school lab (volunteer job) and macs in the enterprise (pay job). What I think we need is the Education Volume Purchasing Program

Unfortunately this all seems a little rough around the edges -- for example, I have found updates for AppStore apps on the support.apple.com updates download site, but then when I install them via ARD they don't actually update the software. (The AppStore icons still show as needing the updates, and the version info reports the old version.) The documentation is also vague about which AppleID to use in which circumstance. I think they just haven't finished thinking through the implications of the various procedures and policies upon the various kinds of customers. When we deployed Mountain Lion on the school lab, we made an install usb and went around and installed it on each computer -- and it appears that you are on the honor system as far as paying for all of the licenses that you install. We did! But they appear to have no way to enforce it.
So far, I have only deployed 9 Lion macs in my day job, and our "solution" to the AppStore showing updates problem has been to drag the AppStore icon off of the users' docks so they don't see them!

Using MYsql How do you find out who did not contribute to a particular fund raiser that we all just did. There are many titles to the different charities that is under the othpaytitle of the Otherpay table, I however just want to extract the non-contributors for a particular charity title. Is there anyway to do this? When I do the the syntax below it comes up as an "empty set". The search is done by way of the table Id matching and left joins. Please see below.
