How do you fix a disable ipad

how do you fix a disable ipad

Disabled cause you keyed in the wrong screen lock code?  Or because the original owner triggered Activation Lock when they discovered the device missing or stolen?

Unfortunately... Once the Device is asking to be Restored with iTunes... it is too late to save anything...
    See Here  >  http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808
However... Once you have Recovered your Device...

Using a computer, other than the one you have regularily been Syncing and Backing up to, was the begining of your issue.

You'll need to connect it to the iTunes library it is normally synced with and restore it.  If iTunes asks you for the unknown passcode before it will let you proceed, connect the iPod to iTunes in recovery mode instead using the instructions in this Apple support document.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

How do you Undisable a ipod touch?

Just to elaborate on roaminggnome's answer, heres exactly what you should do:
Connect your iPod to the computer that you used last to sync it.
When the iPod appears in the iTunes sidebar, click it.
    Then click the "Restore" button.
When prompted, choose "Restore From Last Sync".
The iPod should take a while to restore.
When you turn your iPod on, it should not be diabled anymore.
*Note: If this does not work, revisit Step 4. Then, instead of choosing "Restore From Last Sync", choose "Set Up As New iPod". BUT CONSIDER YOURSELF WARNED: THIS WILL DELETE ALL OF YOUR DATA INCLUDING MUSIC, VIDEOS, APPS, AND MORE!

  • How do you fix a blank iPad 2 screen without loosing any memory?

So my iPad got a little bump while it was on slepp, and I go to wake it up, and the backlight comes on, but thats it.... I can turn it off by doing that swipe you have to do and I can turn it back on, but nothing else. I have no idea what operating system it has, but I do know it's not iOS7. I have it backed up on iCloud, and I put it on recovery mode on my iMac, but I'm scared to restore it because I don't know how to use the iCloud backups and make it "appear" again on the iPad when its reset. If I shouldn't reset it/have in on recovery mode, how do I safely get it out of recovery mode???
Thanks if any one can help me.

I'm not sure that I totally understand what you are doing, but of your iPad is in Recovery Mode now, you will have to restore the device. You can't just change your mind and opt out of recovery mode.
If you backed up with iCloud, and you want to restore that backup, you have to erase the device in order to restore the backup.

I could be wrong, but from the way that you describe what is happening with your iPad, I think that you might have a hardware problem and restoring the iPad isn't going to fix it. You may have to take it to an Apple Store and let an Apple Genius take a look at it.

My iPad has frozen how do I reset it to work

A reset may help. Tap and hold the Home button and the On/Off buttons for approximately 15-20 seconds, until the Apple logo reappears. When the logo appears, release both buttons.
No content is affected by this procedure.
