How do you fix Sad face Ipod with exclamation mark

So i've been having a few problems here with my ipod hopeing that someone out there could help me out. So now my Ipod wont charge, it wont hook up to my computer and whenver i hook it up to the charger or the computer the sad face ipod comes on with the address www.apple.com/support/ipod anyways i also get this sign on the screen which is the charging sign but the bar isnt moving, its like its in the charge mode but nothings charging.. then after about 5 minutes it goes back to the apple logo and then tries to restart itself. When its turning on it also makes this clicking sound its like the hard disk is turning on and then turning off... SO basically i cannot get my ipod to turn on ... i cannot get it to charge, and i cannot get it to come up on my computer.. any suggestions?

Last week, I managed to fix up my daughter's iPod with the same problem. However, you need to have a PC to help you. First, put your iPod into Disk Mode (you may need to plug it with the AC Charger), press "Select"+"play" keys, then plug it with a PC, a window pop up and indicates that your iPod cant be read. Open the iPod Updater (make sure you pre-install the latest iPod updater before you connect your iPod with the PC) and click Restore. Once it has been completed, plug it back with your Mac, and do the Restore in Mac version

    Hi bigmike94610,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
For iPod nano troubleshooting I would suggest the troubleshooting outlined in the following web link. I would suggest working through the steps in the order presented on the website, but you may ultimately need to restore your iPod.

ALl we can say her in this Apple forum s to restore the iPod to factory defaults/new iPOd.  Yu can try placing the iPod in recovery mode. For recovery mode see:
iPhone and iPod touch: Unable to update or restore
Otherwise you will have to go to elsewhere.  Jailbreaking voids the warranty and Apple will no longer help.

You'll need to connect it to the iTunes library it is normally synced with and restore it.  If iTunes asks you for the unknown passcode before it will let you proceed, connect the iPod to iTunes in recovery mode instead using the instructions in this Apple support document.

  • How do you fix outlook to sync with Iphone??????????????

After a lot of searching I found that Outlook 2003 appends "IPM.appointment.location" to calendar events under Message Class.
Outlook originally appended just "IPM.appointment" to calendar events.
If Iphone sees anything besides "IPM.appointment" it will not sync. This explains why some calendar events sync but others don't.
So, all you computer guru's out there, how do you fix the form in Outlook to stop appending "IPM.appointment.location"?
I know about unchecking addins, clearing the folder cache, etc. That won't do it.
    or...
How do you get Apple to sync both Message Classes from outlook?

  • How do you fix a disabled ipod touch?

How do you Undisable a ipod touch?

Just to elaborate on roaminggnome's answer, heres exactly what you should do:
Connect your iPod to the computer that you used last to sync it.
When the iPod appears in the iTunes sidebar, click it.
    Then click the "Restore" button.
When prompted, choose "Restore From Last Sync".
The iPod should take a while to restore.
When you turn your iPod on, it should not be diabled anymore.
*Note: If this does not work, revisit Step 4. Then, instead of choosing "Restore From Last Sync", choose "Set Up As New iPod". BUT CONSIDER YOURSELF WARNED: THIS WILL DELETE ALL OF YOUR DATA INCLUDING MUSIC, VIDEOS, APPS, AND MORE!

  • How do you fix a forzen ipod touch screen?

    I can't fix it. I need help.

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

is there a way this can be fixed ?

I suspect a hardware problem. Maybe just the batter.
Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

If only the battery,Apple will exchange your iPod for a refurbished one with a new battery for $79. Otherwise the exchange price is $1999 for 64 GB 4G and $99 for the other 4Gs. They do not fix yours.

  • How do you fix the indexing ipod issue in chevy equinox

After working properly for over a year, now when I connect my iPod Classic via USB to my Chevy Equinox it starts "Indexing iPod". If play is interrupted by changing to the radio, answering a phone call, turning off the engine, etc., it will sometimes lock up the iPod and sometimes no longer recognize it. In either case, I have to unplug the iPod and either do a hard restart or find my place on the iPod again. I listen to audiobooks on my daily commute and it is getting very frustrating.
Tried using my husband's iPod yesterday and it seems to work just fine.
    Help!

Look in your device manager and find out what brand of hard drive you have (Western Digital, Seagate, Toshiba etc.) Go to the manufacturer's website and download their hard drive certification test (free). Run the test on your drive so you can feel that it is not the hard drive. Then run the HP memory test from your utility partition (I think you hit F10 while starting the machine).  There is always a chance that your connector to your hard drive is bad or the contacts are dirty but that is an outside shot.
