How do you force a window to always shrink to the same place?

When I use iTunes, I like to shrink it down to the bottom left of my screen (using the mini-player) so that it's out of the way of all my windows but I can still see the song playing. The dock overlaps it slightly, but it doesn't bother me at all. However, I think it bothers OS X quite a bit, because every time I shrink iTunes, it snaps to directly above the dock. Is there a setting I can manipulate to force iTunes to shrink to exactly where I want it? I've posted some pictures below to help describe the situation:

Very odd. If I watch very closely, when I go to the mini-player, I can see it starts out in the bottom left corner where I want it, but then almost instantaneously gets snapped back up to above the dock. I'll try playing around with the precise place that I drag the player to begin with, maybe a few pixels of it are actually off the screen.
EDIT: Nope. I adjust it's location and it still happens. Goes where I want it, but immediately snaps to above the dock.

I need to make a popup in flash on the same frame. Basiclly like you reach the frame and randomly (I know how to do random stuff) a popup might appear saying like you got a prize; and I want the stuff in the back to stay the same.

Whatever frame you intend to make this movieclip appear in, you first set it to be invisible using...
popupName._visible = false; // popupName is whatever instance name you use
And for whatever random code you use to trigger it to appear you just set the _visible property to be true...

How do you insert new records into multiple tables using the same unique primary key?

I’ve created a PHP site and MySQL server using a free app called XAMPP. I have successfully created a form in Dreamweaver that will write data to a (name) table in the SQL database. Here’s my question: How do you write to two (or more) tables in the same database and pass the same primary key to both tables? In the SQL database, I defined the first field as ID and set it as the primary key with auto update. So, when you insert a new record, it creates a unique primary key for that record. In my form, I’m capturing info that needs to be stored to two tables at the same time; a Name table and Address table. Since the Name and Address tables use the ID field as the primary key, I believe I will need to pass the ID value from the Name table to the insert of the Address table to insure they both have the same primary key, right?

No. You probably need the primary key from one table to be a foreign key in the other tables. In any case, I believe you can use two methods to obtain the auto generated key. First with SQL:

You can use Parallels desktop or VM Fusion to run both operating systems at the same time. Both programs work well, but I personally perfer VM Fusion.

How do you send more than 1 iMovie project to the same iDVD project???

I have 3 separate movie projects in iMovie with chapter markers and am trying to send them over to ONE iDVD project. Every time I send a movie over, it creates a new iDVD project and I can't get all 3 movies in the same project.
I'm trying to put each movies as a submenu under the main menu in iDVD.
Any help would be appreciated!

OK, after a long night of trial and error, I've figured it out...
Issue 1: Files not showing up in the media pane--- miraculously after shutting down all open apps and then restarting the computer, my iMovie projects are now showing up in the movie pane of the media panel in iDVD...
Issue 2: Getting more than one movie project into iDVD with all the chapter settings--- a little more complicated!
In iMovie: SHARE > iDVD gives you a new iDVD project with 2 submenus: 1 with the entire movie, and 1 with "scene selections"
If you try to add a second iMovie project to the same iDVD project; it's not possible from within iMovie (at least not that I can figure out!).
You can add this second iMovie project to the same iDVD project by adding it to the project within iDVD from the MEDIA > MOVIES pane. This, however, will only add the movie and not give you the second submenu with scene selections.
To get the 2nd iMovie project into iDVD, I dragged the 2nd movie project from a finder window into the opened iDVD project. This adds the 2 submenus (1 with the movie and 1 with the scene selections) to the iDVD project.

How do you get a merged CHM to open in the same window as the master? (RH8)

We have a problem where everytime you click on a topic from a merged CHM in the master TOC, it opens a new window exlusive to the chm where the topic resides. We have more than one master chm and this is the only one that does it, it is also the only one that was created from RH8, although the others have been updated with RH8. We've compared the Window and SS Layout properties with a parent chm that doesn't behave this way and haven't been able to find any differences. Is there something we can do to have all the topics whether merged or from the parent, open in the same window?

I think somehow the last time I had this problem I stumbled on a solution and wasn't sure what fixed it, but the problem reared its head again, and it was back to the drawing board. Now I think we have a solution, but we don't know for sure what created the problem. Although we're pretty sure the problem has something to do with creating a new window when there is already and existing window.
What we found. This problem couldn't be fixed in the SSLayout. We found that the Properties | Advanced | Window setting for individual topics in the TOC had been erased. This Window drop-down selection lets you choose a window other than <Default> if more than one window exists. If not changed by the user, it should stay at <Default>, but somehow the setting was blank on several topics, probably due to the creation of a new window, and maybe some other values being changed. This is probably a bug in RH8, but I don't know about other versions.
How to fix it.
First you have to isolate which merged .chm file (child) has the problem, I believe I did this by removing one child .chm at a time from the Parent project and then seeing if the parent .chm worked correctly after generation.
Once you've found the offending .chm (there may be more than one), open the project and the TOC for the .chm that is a problem.
Go to the TOC pod > Topic Page Properties (right-click on a Topic in the TOC and select Properties) > Advanced > Options panel and ensure that a value exists in the Window: field. If the field is empty, you have a problem. Click the drop-down and select <Default>, even if your .chm window displays in drop-down.
I don't believe there's an option to set a window as the default when you create it, so if there's more than one window, who knows what the <Default> option is drawing from, unless <Default> points to the window you have selected in the SSLayout, which I think is the case.
Find all Topics that have this problem and fix them. Note: you cannot fix this by going to topic Properties in the Topic List (or from r-click Properties in a topic), you have to do it in the TOC.
Save all changes, generate the child .chm, and then replace the old child .chm with the new one.
Open the parent .chm and check to see if all topics open in the parent window. Your Done

I have a family of iPhones and iPads and one apple ID, well needless to say each device is getting face time calls and text messages from eachother. I might add it makes for some pretty interesting conversations. I would like to learn how to keep each device seperate under the same apple ID, or would it be better to set up seperate ID's for everything? Anyways, any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Either separate Windows User Accounts or separate Firefox Profiles will give you separate bookmarks lists, but all your personal data will be separate - passwords, extensions, browsing history, etc. I haven't seen an addon that will give you separate bookmarks storage within the same Firefox Profile.

How do you stop multiple Youtube videos from playing at the same time?

As of a few days ago, when I click on a youtube video, as the commercial begins to play, you can begin to hear multiple/different commercials playing at the same time. After the commercials, the same issue occurs with the main video--multiple videos are being played at the same time and are not in sync. I've updated all my plug ins and have tried the suggestion posted in the forum provided in the link below in which someone else has expressed the same issue, but nothing has worked so far. Does anyone know what can be done?

Are you loading those videos as Flash or HTML5? It is possible to prevent videos from playing until you click something with Flashblock for Flash or Stop Tube HTML5 for HTML5. You can also stop the commercials with Adblock Plus with an Easylist subscription.

How do you keep two (2) totally separate libraries on the same computer

I have had an iPod nano for a few years and have built up my own library. My son received an iPod touch for his birthday. How do I keep my music and his music totally separate? We are using the same PC (the same iTunes link). He has his own iTunes account but it is still trying to sync my recent purchases with his iPod. And vice versa. His songs are in my library. Help!

I sort of have a similar question about the same situation.
I created a new iTunes library for my old iPod mini and loaded it up with music for my father-in-law. Only problem is, when I connect my 2G iTouch, my library with thousands of songs doesn't come up. I tried holding Shift down when I open iTunes to choose my library, and I see the one I created for him, but I can't find my library.
Any ideas on how to find it or where it might be? I've been working on this for hours and have tried almost everything. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance!

I've tried the action 'Application deployment evaluation cycle' but this doesn't seem to do the job in a timely manner.
The AppEnforce.log still references a revision that has been deleted on the server...

If it's a machine targeted deployment you should use the Machine Policy Retrieval & Evaluation Cycle
and if it is a user targeted deployment you should use the User Policy Retrieval & Evaluation Cycle.
