How do you get bookmarks to permanently show

when i click on bookmarks/show boommarks, they show until i click on one of them ../. then i have to re-do it all over again. how do i get the bookmarks to always show along the left side of the screen, for example.

Sadly to say, not possible with Safari.
The workarouns is to have them showing in a separate Safari window.

Iphone 3GS- How do you get the pictures to show up larger when someone calls? I know this seems trivial but I have difficulty seeing, so one of the reasons I actually purchased this phone was for this feature. When the photos do come up they come up in the top right corner in small boxes / windows. I already google'd this topic and they suggested importing the photos - to itunes and than directly on to the iphone, I did this and it didn't work. Additionally I took a few test photos from the iphone and tried setting them to contacts. This didnt work either. I looked in settings and could not find anything that discussed this issue. Although I do believe I have seen iphones that ring with large pictures. Am i Crazy?

You aren't crazy.
Adding the photo to contacts on the computer gets you the smaller pix when people call.
Assign the photo on the phone itself and you get full-size pix.
Additionally I took a few test photos from the iphone and tried setting them to contacts. This didnt work either.
So, that certainly should work. Try it again? Try it with a brand new contact, maybe it is not overwriting a previously existing picture.
I suppose there is a small possibility that Apple thought this differing behavior was a bug instead of a feature and "fixed" it with a recent update, but I doubt it.

hello davinci2, please right-click any bookmark where this is happening, go to ''properties'' and make sure that they are not set up to open in the sidebar.

I realize this may be a very basic question however I really need some help. I downloaded the free 30 day trial of Adobe Illustrator but when I open it there are no tools. There is no type, pen, or selection tools or anywhere for gradients. Does anyone know how I can get these to show up?

figured it out...i created a shortcut and used that - that won't work because
for some reason when I created the short cut the application path did not update
so now just using the icon in the application folder.

When I have a percentage in a cell, like "50%", and chart it, it shows up in the graph as ".5". How do you make the label of the graph to show up as "50%"?

In a pie chart you'll see the percent sign, %, not in bar charts. If you want it to read 50% you may want to put in a text box then to that add 50%, that's what I do. If there's a better way I hope someone else will jump in here.

How do you get multiple plots to show up on the same graph?

I am trying to get multiple (20) plots to show up on the same XY
graph. My data set is a 2D array, which exits a for loop.
The ultimate goal is to have one plot show up after each iteration of
the for loop. I can only get all 20 to show up at once, not one
at a time. Any suggestions?

How do you get your iMac to show video (or mirroring) with Apple Tv...please help!

I have searched this forum, read the articles here and on Google and I still can't figure this out. Perhaps what I'm wanting isn't possible.
All I want to do is watch my CBS show from www.cbs.com on Apple Tv via my iMac. The Apple TV moniker is next to the volume in iTunes, and I can play music through Apple Tv via I-tunes and have it play on my TV. Thus, I know it is connected and working. I thought I could do a mirror screen like I do with the iPad, but for the life of me I can't find anyone who has covered the subject online.
Can someone tell me, step-by-step, how to show video from my iMac onto my Apple TV. Thanks so much!

If the specs you included about your iMac model are correct, it will not support AirPlay mirroring. See About AirPlay Mirroring in OS X - Apple Support for more about this, including the list of supported models & required OS X versions.

How do you get bookmarks to appear directly in the dropdown menu?

I've imported my bookmarks from Firefox, but they don't appear in the dropdown Bookmarks menu--I have to click on show all bookmarks. I just want them all to show up in the Boomarks menu like they do on Firefox.

When you see them in Show All Bookmarks (usually in an Imported Bookmarks folder, but this will work from wherever your imported bookmarks ended up), select them in the main window, then drag-and-drop them onto the icon for "Bookmarks Menu" in the list on the left.

How do you get iBooks Author to show page numbers? (All my pages are in blank layout.)

I'm using iBooks Author 2.0 to make a picture book and can't get it to show page numbers. The "insert page numbers" menu item doesn't highlight when I'm creating a page, nor does a number magically show up when I preview the book on my iPad. Please help?
It may have something to do with how I'm using the ToC (tried to avoid having a ToC, but that's not working out too well. Any suggestions on how to do that with a picture book would also be helpful.)

Thanks K T, This definitely got page numbers to appear.
Now I actually have to read the iBooks Author support to figure out what I'm doing wrong with the whole Section/Chapter template thing. (It would be nice to just have a simple picture book template. Not to complain.)

How do you get ALL reminders to show in your notification centre?

So weird. All of them showed up on my old iPhone 4, which was on iOS 7 at the time already. Now I'm on a 5S, and all I see are the ones that have an alarm. Is there anyway to change/fix this so that I can see them all? I've tried toggling the on and off switch for "Reminders" under the Notification Centre tab in Settings, but nothing changes. Thanks!

the first generation Apple TV had a hard disk where you could synchronise media from iTunes to it
so it showed up in itunes
the newer appletvs don't have storage for other usage as cash
and access media by streaming it from the computers shared iTunes lib so it does not show up as a device in iTunes
unless you connect the Apple TV to the computer by microUSB cable and then it's only purpose is to restore a failed firmware of the Apple TV

How do you get the ipad2 to show up in home share in iTunes on my PC?

I have done the basics, they are on the same wifi network, both signed into same apple ID, and the ipad2 sees the computer and homeshare works fine on the ipad2 side. I see the computer, I see all my itunes from there, and can play them, etc. on the ipad2, but the ipad does NOT show up on the computer? The homeshare is enabled (and obviously functioning because the ipad can see it), but the home sharing doesn't even show up on the list on the left of the PC. I know I have it working properly because I had my daughter put the homesharing on her macbook pro and THEN the homesharing showed up on the list on the left on my PC, and I could see her laptop fine on my homesharing on the PC, but the ipad2 still didn't show up??? Can anyone help?

How do you get bookmarks selected to appear in the full screen rather than the small window to the left

When I click on a bookmarked site, some of them show up on the large screen to the right, but mostonly show up in the much smaller window to the left and are therefor useless. this is even when I've opened a new tab. I never had this problem before, but recently received a new computer and this is the result after downloading firefox in this computer.
