How do you get BT Broadband?

Hello, I want BT Broadband but what have I got to do?
On the 12th Sept a rep from BT phoned and asked if I would be interested in BT Broadband. I said let me think about it. She said she would phone back on the 17th Sept. She didn't so on the 18th Sept I had a go at signing up on line and got an email to say "Thank you" and giving me a reference number. I needed my MAC so on the 19th I got that from Virgin. Before I could go back on line to input the MAC I got a call, I think it was Allan, from BT. He was following up Shirley’s call and said no need to enter MAC he would take the details and process the order. I thought that was it and was even given a date of moving to BT. However on 24th Sept someone from BT called me and said they believed I might be interested in taking BT Broadband. I said I thought my order was going through. She said there was no record of it but took my details including my MAC and said she would arrange for the hub to be sent to me. On the 1st October a rep from BT phoned me and said she could see from On line I was interested in moving to BT. I said yes and my order was going through and gave my reference number. She said there wasn't an order for me and gave me a phone number to call. After 20mins or so I spoke to a chap who said my on line order had failed but if I gave him my MAC he would process the order for me. There was a problem with the computer so he said he would call me back in an hour to confirm if my order had taken or not. He never called back. Is it just me???

As you now have your MAC you could try ordering online -  try this link  http://www.productsandservices.bt.com/consumerProducts/displayTopic.do?topicId=25764
However, once the order has been placed ( hopefully) I would ring BT 0800 100 400 ( this might not be the right number but you should be transferred) just to make sure you haven't got two orders going. You will have had a confirmation of your order very soon after you placed it.
