How do you get Firefox to remember the response sent to remember password for a site and then not ask the same question over and over?

How do you get Firefox to remember the response sent to remember password for a web site and not ask over and over? The desktop version has a dialog box that you can check that says "Don't ask me this again". The mobile version doesn't. A real pain!
Thankx

You can switch off or uncheck the remember password in your settings :-)

    Question

'''IT'S A EASY AS IT SHOULD BE.'''
This is essentially paulbruster's answer, but I've added the steps some might assume, but which aren't so obvious to those of us who are new at this, like me.
This solution might ''appear'' to be long and complicated, but after you follow the directions once, you'll find it's quick, clean, and simple. Almost like they designed it this way.
    # If you haven't already, open a bunch of tabs on a few different subjects.
    # Click the List All Tabs button on the right side of the tab strip.
    # Select Tab Groups.
    # Create a few groups as described [http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/what-are-tab-groups#w_how-do-i-create-a-tab-group here] , i.e. just drag them out of the main thumbnail group into the new groups they create.
    # Now click on any thumbnail in any new group, but not the original big default group you may have left some tabs in.
#A regular Firefox window will open, but'' only the tabs in that group will be visible.'' You also now have the Tab Groups button in the tab strip.
    # Right click on any tab, and there it is: Bookmark All Tabs. Click on it in the list of options. Or you can hit Ctrl+Shift+D instead and go straight to the dialogue box from the tab without any clicks. But don't go looking for this familiar option anywhere else, 'cause it's not there.
    # Now pick an existing folder or create a new one just like you would have before and '''shlpam!''' there they are. New folders are supposed to end up in the Unsorted category all the way at the very bottom, but for some reason mine show up at the bottom of my last sorted category.
    # DO NOT CLICK THE UPPER-RIGHTMOST X to close this group of tabs. This will close ALL of your tabs in all groups, currently visible or not. At least it asks if you're sure first. Instead, click your new Tab Groups button to return to the Boxes 'O Thumbnails window, and click the X in the group box you just bookmarked.
    # Click on another thumbnail to repeat the process with another group, or click on a thumbnail in the big default box to return to the original FF window. You can also click the Tab Groups button at the upper right, or Ctrl+Shift+E, which will also get you ''into'' the Boxes 'O Nails window ''from'' FF.
    # So now when you reopen FF after shutdown, simply select your folder from your Bookmarks and Open All in Tabs. '''Just like paulbruster said. '''

  • How do you make an open url last a certain period of time, for a new url to work in that same position after?

Is it possible to get an open url to be clickable then not clickable after a few seconds, and if so how? Thanks.

Use a class for that and the code as below:
        Say the class is "noClick":
              $(".noClick").click(function(event){
             event.preventDefault();
    So, when you want your link to be unclickable, then add $("yourButton").addClass("noClick");
    and when you want it to be clickable, use this code $("yourButton").removeClass("noClick");

  • How do you get firefox not to report personal information

A federal Goverment Agency posted some of my personal information on the web and is doing so illigally in violation of the privacy act, and other reporting laws, can some one tell me how to get Fire Fox not to report this illegal information ?

Hi andy82997gmail.com, what kind of information are you talking about?
I noticed you included a link to a Department of Housing and Urban Development PDF. What was that for?
There are a number of aspects to being safe and protecting your privacy on the web.
When you visit a website using Firefox, the browser usually will allow the site to set and retrieve cookies. This allows the site to know your browser from all the other browsers visiting the site. Most cookies do not contain personal or confidential information, but depending on the site you visit, it's possible. Many (most?) sites also include content from other servers, and these servers can set and retrieve their own cookies, often called "third party" cookies. These tend to be for tracking your online activity to show you more persuasive advertising. Firefox lets you manage all kinds of cookies. For more information, see this article: [[Cookies - Information that websites store on your computer]].
Using Firefox, you also can store information about your browsing: bookmarks, history, information entered on forms, logins, and so on. Are you concerned about any of that information? You could try this feature: [[Private Browsing - Browse the web without saving information about the sites you visit]].
When you browse the web (in regular mode or private browsing mode), intermediate service providers generally capture information about the sites you visit in their web logs (e.g., date, time, URL). Some people who do not want their ISP to track their browsing will sign up with a VPN service. Of course, you need to trust the service: there is no way to request a URL and not have anyone see it at all.
Finally, Firefox allows you to install add-ons, either from the Firefox add-ons site or bundled with other software you install. You should keep an eye on add-ons and all other software you install to avoid spyware or malicious programs.

  • How to you get Firefox to play M3U8 play lists?

I am trying to get FireFox to play an M3U8 play list in OS X and Windows 7 with no luck. Please give me some advise on to accomplish this.

You need to have a plugin installed that supports the m3u8 file extension.<br />
You can check the about:plugins page to see what a plugin supports.

  • How do you get an updated Apple ID to change on your iPhone?  I've changed logged in using the new ID and password but when I go to synch my apps, it reverts back to the old ID

I've changed my Apple ID on iTunes and my MacBook Pro, iPhone, and iPad.  When I try to update my apps on my iPhone, it reverts to the old Apple ID

It sounds like your device might be in Activation Lock.  Is it asking your to enter in an Apple ID & password, but only showing you the first letter of the email address and then some dots? Example: j•••••@icloud.com?
If so, do you recognize that email?  Do you have an Apple ID that fits the same format?  If so, then go to www.cloud.com, log in with that Apple ID & password, and see if under Find My iPhone it shows this device.  If so, turn off the device, then remove the device from the list.

  • How can you get firefox to refresh a web page like every few hours to keeep you logged into a account

  • How do you get Mountain Lion Mail to show sent email size?

I upgraded to mountain lion I think a couple months ago so I don't remember exactly when I lost this feature, but in Snow Leopard for sure there was an option that when composing a new email, a little bar across the bottom of the email showed the size of your email so when you were adding attachments you could see the size your email was getting to be. I obviously haven't used that in a while because I ahvent' sent attachments in a long while, but I have recently started to do that again and tonight when I was adding files, there was no bar across the bottom of the email at all so I have no idea what size my email was. Even when I hit send and the progress bar in the bottom left of Mail ("Mail Activity") that use to show the file size right underneath the bar also now no longer shows the size so I have absolutely no idea how big the email I sent was.
Can anyone tell me how to get the option back to show the email size of the mail your composing in that little bar on the bottom of your email as well as the file size to display as you are sending in "Mail Actiivity" window? Thanks so much if anyone can help. Thank you!

  • How can I get Firefox to use Front Page 2003 as an editor for my website?

I have a website called www.gethsemanechurch.net. I use Front Page 2003 to update and maintain the site. Currently this was all being done using IE. However, my IE is now updated to IE10 and I am having problems with IE10. I figured I would try to use Firefox at this time.
My OS is Win 7 and I am on a desktop.

How do you use FrontPage now: do you edit your web locally and then upload it? Or do you edit the pages "live" on the site? Whichever browser you use, your workflow does not need to change. The main difference would be when you preview local files: FrontPage is likely to launch the local pages in your default browser.
With respect to editing ''inside'' Firefox, you can switch your source code viewer from the built-in window to an external program such as FrontPage. However, the file that opens in FrontPage in that scenario will be a local copy in a temp folder, it won't be your live website. For best results, I suggest continuing to do your edits directly in FrontPage.
Also... if you find that FrontPage is not creating pages compatible with Firefox, you may be able to adjust the settings, or you have the option to change to a completely different editor. One free one I've seen suggested is [http://www.bluegriffon.org/ BlueGriffon].

  • How can you set Firefox to, or tell if FF is always checking for certificate revocation?

I am anticipating a number of certificate revocations related to the heartbleed voulnerability, and would like to be able to check whether Firefox is checking for revocation, and tell it to if not.

For this heartbleed issue you can also temporarily disable OCSP Stapling by setting the <b>security.ssl.enable_ocsp_stapling</b> pref to false on the <b>about:config</b> page.<br />
Make sure to check in a few days if you still need this workaround and if necessary reset the pref to true.

  • How do I get Firefox to show updates to all webpages automatically upon visiting a site?

When I open a website in Firefox that I know changes have been made to - it's not showing the most recent updates to the site. I have to check in Safari just to confirm I'm looking at the most up-to-date site changes. Otherwise, I have to go to Firefox and click reload on every single page. Is there a way that Firefox can update each page and check for latest updates on every single page without manually having to do it?

  • How do I get Keychain to generate a password for me? It does not ask to do so automatically anymore.

Originally, Keychain would automatically offer to create a random password for me. After refusing the offer many times, Keychain no longer offers anymore for any of my regular websites. How do I get it to offer again?

    Open Keychain Access.
Select the desired item in the list,
Double click the item or use 'File > Get info'.
Click the checkbox to reveal the current password & enter your keychain password to view it.
Now click the 'key' icon next to the password field.
The 'password assistant' window appears, use that to to generate a password, when you are happy with it click the 'Save changes' button in the 'info' window for that item.

  • My Firefox crashed on starting, & I sent a report. I started again, but does not recognize the password that I set for it some weeks ago. What do I do now?

I have check for a virus, via AVG; none found on a scan of the whole computer.
I have called up Firefox at least twice to reach UWO & its Convergence pgm to get my mail. Convergence asks for my security password. I have entered it very carefully several times on two separate tries of Convergence, & it is not recognized. The only thing unusual that has happened is the Firefox crash immediately before I called up Convergence. I think this password is a Firefox thing, required whenever the site wants a password.
    What do I do now?

Firefox shouldn't require to enter a password to start, so if you need one then you may not have the official version from the Mozilla servers.
Do a clean reinstall and delete the Firefox program folder before (re)installing a fresh copy of the current Firefox release.
*Download the full Firefox installer and save the file to the desktop<br>https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all.html
If possible uninstall your current Firefox version to cleanup the Windows registry and settings in security software.
*Do NOT remove "personal data" when you uninstall your current Firefox version, because this will remove all profile folders and you lose personal data like bookmarks and passwords including data in profiles created by other Firefox versions.
Remove the Firefox program folder before installing that newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.
    *(32 bit Windows) "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\"
    *(64 bit Windows) "C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\"
*It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
Your bookmarks and other personal data are stored in the Firefox profile folder and won't be affected by an uninstall and (re)install, but make sure that "remove personal data" is NOT selected when you uninstall Firefox.
If you keep having problems then also create a new profile.

  • How can you get firefox to work locally with the windows subst command?

I want to test my website locally using the windows subst command to emulate the root of my website. It works perfectly with IE8 (except IE8 displays the layout different to firefox) but will not work with Firefox. All of the images, styles sheets and anything with a root path does not work. If I use a relative path (../../ for example) to the objects they works fine.
How can I view web pages locally using a website root path?

Now I understand why Firefox does not load local pages and and IE does. I followed the link and tried all the various solutions. The noscript version did not work (but at least I have better security now) and the \\\\\ UNC path trick did nothing. Eventually I downloaded the IEtab plugin and that worked perfectly. All I wanted to do was to check webpages locally before submitting to my website and the IEtab plugin worked perfectly.
    Thanks
