How do you get page tabs to automatically delete when you close Firefox. I now have to manally delete all of them - dozen of them!
Each web page I go to leaves a tab at the top of the page above the website. They stay there until I manually delete them. My previous computer automatically shut them when I closed the home page
You can right click one tab and choose "Close Other Tabs" to close most of them.
Set the pref browser.tabs.closeWindowWithLastTab to false on the about:config page to prevent closing the last tab from closing the browser and make a close button appear if only one tab is open.
To open the <i>about:config</i> page, type <b>about:config</b> in the location (address) bar and press the "<i>Enter</i>" key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website.<br />
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page.<br />
You can use the Filter bar at to top of the about:config page to locate a pref more easily.

For some reason when i click on to a new site or link, tabs no longer automatically open so if i forget to manually click on the little plus sign at the end of the tab strip, my new destination replaces where i currently was. This was not the case in the past and I cannot find where to reset this so that a new tab will once again auto create. !

How do I get my tabs to stay open after I close firefox?
Every time I open Firefox for the first time after turning on my computer, my tabs are gone. I have my settings set to show my windows and tabs from last time, but that only works if I haven't turned off the computer in-between opening Firefox.
I'm not sure if this is related to the problem, but I have to re-login to everything as well. My cookies and usernames are saved, but every time I open Firefox after turning on my computer I find I've been logged out. These both started at the same time.
I even re-installed Firefox to see if that would help. It made no difference. Please help.If it works in Safe Mode and in normal mode with all extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) disabled then try to find which extension is causing it by enabling one extension at a time until the problem reappears.
Close and restart Firefox after each change via "Firefox > Exit" (Windows: Firefox/File > Exit; Mac: Firefox > Quit Firefox; Linux: Firefox/File > Quit)

I used to be able to close firefox and have all my opened tabs saved. When I open firefox again, those tabs will be opened as I last closed firefox.
Now, I am not able to do it. The firefox was crashed at one time earlier and I have to open the task manager to force it to close because it is frozen and so was my computer. After I opened it again, there is no tabs saved which I kinda expected. Then I

tabs will be closed. So I googled the symptom and it brought me to this website, telling me that if I set

Pages asks to save changes when I close, even if I have done nothing but open the file??
Anytime I close a document with Pages, it prompts me to save my changes (even though I have not made any changes to the document). If I click save and overwrite the original file and then immediately open it again, it still insists that there are changes and that I need to save again. Am I doing something wrong, or is this a bug?
I have tried searching and can't find a definite answer. I have not printed the document or modified it in any way.Are you opening a Word or other 'foreign' file in Pages? When you do that, Pages makes a copy as a Pages document. Until you save it as a .pages document you will get that message.
If all you want to do is view these files, a better choice would probably be to open them in TextEdit or to use QuickLook. -
Just downloaded Firefox 5 and love the App Tabs concept. I right click, Pin as App Tab, then close Firefox. When I re-open it, there aren't any pinned App Tabs.
App (pinned) tabs and Tab Groups (Panorama) are stored as part of the session data in the file sessionstore.js in the Firefox profile folder.

How can I get App Tabs to automatically load a fresh version of the page every time I click on them?
I like the app tab feature and am using it for sites that I visit frequently, for example, weather sites. The problem I have is that when I click on say http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/uk/ta/arbroath_forecast_weather.html I get the site as it was the last time I used it. Today this meant I got a weather forecast starting from 2 days ago, not from today.
I can get round this if I remember to "Reload" every time but I'm guessing that is not the way app tabs were intended to work.One of these two add-ons should do that:

Occasionally the screen on the Imac will freeze and the compute has to be restarted at the plug, but when the plug is switched back on the computer only switches back on fully with the screen coming on if you switch a button around the back of the computer, but I remember when using an iMac G4 it would come on automatically when th computer was switched on at the plug. Is there any setting or any software that will automatically restart the computer when the computer is off and I restart it at the plug?
