I cannot get the video out to TV to work on my iPhone 3GS with iOS 5.1.1.
I am using the $40.00 apple composite AV cables and nothing seems to work. With the cables connected to tv input nothing shows up in general settings for video out. Or anywhere else for that matter. I have tried many different TV's, sometimes I get audio but never never ever video . Does anyone else have this problem or better yet the answer?

But, i do know what was wrong now. The whole problem was the brand new $40.00 set of apple composite AV cables i just bought was no good. This afternoon i took a trip to the nearest apple retail outlet (30 miles away) with phone and cables in hand. And after doing a little head scratching of their own they decided to try another set of cables, and low and behold the darn thing worked like a charm.I was very impressed by the service at the apple store even though i didnt buy either product from them. I wonder if there is a bad batch of cables floating around out there because it looks like other people out there are having the same problem, which is why i didnt really suspect the cables. I have a new 20" IMAC. I set it up and was not able to get the camera to work. When I go to IChat the microphone enabled is checked and black but the camera enabled is checked but grey. When I go to Phone Booth it says that there is no camera or not connected. All I would like to do is take a photo of myself. PLEASE HELP

Go to Apps/Utilities/System Profiler. In the Hardware list go to USB. Does the built-in iSight show up in the USB High-Speed Bus?
If not, could be a hardware issue and you should call AppleCare to begin troubleshooting with them for possible warranty replacement/repair.

How do you get the hot keys / keyboard shortcuts to work?

I have the free trial version of Photoshop. I am new to Photoshop, I am just starting to learn how to use it. I notice that some of the shortcuts/hot keys don't work.
For example, one basic hot key that does not work is the F7-key. The F7-key opens and closes the layers palette.
Another hot key that does not work is the spacebar. My teacher taught me to hold the spacebar down when you want to move the canvas around. When I am in handtool mode I hold the spacebar down, I then apply pressure on my laptops touchpad, I then slide my finger across my laptops touchpad in order to try and move the canvas, but the canvas does not budge.
Some shortcuts work. For example, tapping the F-key multiple times will expand and reduce the size of Photoshop.
Closing my web browser did not resolve the problem. Updating the software did not resolve the problem.
I am eager to learn Photoshop, but it's hard, and probrably a waste of time, to try and learn Photoshop when some of the softwares hot keys don't work. Anyone have a solution they can offer?

How do you get the polar plot VI's to work correctly?

I have the data in a file and can see the correct data when placed on a smith chart, but not on the polar plot. It looks like it is mirrored on the Polar plot.

There are a couple of examples hat come with LabVIEW that might help you. They can be found under Help >> Examples >> Advanced >> Picture Control >> "Polar Plot" and "Simple Smith Plot". As a way of comparing the two different plots, I had them plot the same data points. It looks like if you have a lot of data points with a lot variability then you want to use the Polar Plot. I am able to see any photo I took on the iPad using the iPad camera (in iTunes, photo stream, or when I open windows explorer and browse the iPad director), however I cannot see any photos transfered from my camera to the iPad. The camera connection kit must have put my photos in a directory I cannot get to and cannot sync.

I always assummed that the mic was part of iSight (intertwined?). The mic is situated right next to iSight. It would seem to me the solutions would be the same some what.
Regarding the OP, I also suspect his/her problem is hardware. It's rather unusual for the internal mic to not work yet the iSight does.

We need the Request Restart ability when scheduling a single reoccurring job in Redwood. Most of our jobs are scheduled in CHAINs which offers the Final Status Handler on Step level, and the schedule is "paused" when a job in the CHAIN has failed ( the next instance does not populate until the OP MSG has been Replied to) , and once the OPERATOR message is replied to, the CHAIN can resume running again ( desired ) . But we need this same ability when scheduling a single job not in a CHAIN. In our testing, we set up a job with Request Restart chosen on the Error , Killed and Unknown selections on the Restart Behavior Tab. But we found when a job is scheduled say once a day at 8AM, and when it fails, an OPERATOR msg appears allowing a Restart choice ( desired), but the next day's schedule also populates ( undesired) and we do NOT want the schedule to continue on yet because we need a chance to fix the error before the next insance runs for business reasons. So how can you get the schedule of a single reoccurring job with Restart ability in Redwood to pause when it has failed...?

You can wrap the job chain in a master job chain in the first step and set the final status handler there.
You can also set the Restart Behavior to 'Stop Submit Frame', in that case you will have to resubmit the job once you are finished troubleshooting.

Try these two ways to fix the iPhone (in order). If neither works, you would have to take it to the store.
1. Reset the iPhone. Hold the on/off and home buttons togehter for about 10 seconds. If it works, you'll get the Apple logo and then something good should happen.
2. Try recovery mode as described here:

If one of these work, you can then re-introduce the iPhone to Find My iPhone by doing Settings > iCloud > Find My iPhone = "On" on the device.

The adapter to HDMI doesn't carry sound from a MacBook earlier than the Mid 2010 models and most TVs don't have separate RCA input plugs for audio with the HDMI inputs since they expect the sound to be carried by the HDMI plug. With HDMI you'll need to use external speakers or headphone jack to RCA sound plugs connected to a stereo sound system if your TV doesn't have separate RCA input plugs for audio with the HDMI plug.
