How do you get your iMessages to say iMessage when you get a message on the updated iO6?

My iMessages are on but before I updated it when I received a message it would say iMessage instead of the actually message. Now that I updated it it doesn't how do I turn that back on. I don't want people to read my messages! It's the newest iPod too.

At the bottom of the page Settings > Messages you should have a section headed "SMS/MMS" Turn MMS messaging on then you can turn group message on.

You can't "get rid" of update notifications without doing the update. But then again if you wait for a while there will be iOS 8 available.

Not possible to create a new mailbox with the iPhone.
If the account is an IMAP account, you can create additional server stored mailboxes with the email client used on your computer for accessing the account or via webmail access for the account using a browser. Any additional server stored mailboxes created with an IMAP account will be available automatically when checking the account with the iPhone's Mail client, and will be kept synchronized with the server automatically.
This is not possible with a POP account. You may be able to create additional server stored mailboxes with a POP account via webmail access for the account using a browser, but such mailboxes will not be available with the iPhone's Mail client, or with any email client used to access the account.

HT4972 Instruction somewhat unclear. How do you go about actually starting the update?

I would like to know how iOS 4.1 would be updated. Does it have to be wired? Or can it be done wirelessly? It's not giving an option under settings for "update".

Just attach your phone to your computer and do the update through iTunes, but this does all depend on what phone you are using?
If you have an iPhone 3g, then iOS 4 is the last update that you can get on this phone, so this is probably why you can't update.

When slides are updated within a MS Sharepoint slide library, how can you force an alert with the updated slide version going to users who have previous slide versions on their hard drive?

How can you hardcode/force that when a slide within a slide library (in Sharepoint 2010) is updated, that an alert is sent to the user who downloaded the slide to their hard drive so that they may replace the outdated slide with the recently
updated slide. There is a tic box option to set when downloading slides from a sharepoint slide library into power point that ensures alerts are sent when the presentation is opened allowing for replacement of the slide. But, it is an option. How can that
be hardcoded are forced on all slide library users who download slides from the shrepoint library into power point? Is there a workflow that can be written in Sharepoint or an option in power point to do this? Please advise. Thanks.

Two things to check:
Add the network folder location as a trusted location in your Flash Global Security settings and then see if the videos will play.
If the first suggestion doesn't work, get in touch with your network admin dudes and find out if FLV files are disabled from working over the network from that location. Many times unless a given file format is enabled on a network, the server assumes it's not desirable and won't serve it.

Yosemite UPGRADE, Apps that I try to update fail with the message that connection to App Store failed, then i get a message that the updates were purchased by another user ID or purchase cancelled. All five updates have this error

Please test after each of the following steps that you haven't already tried. Stop when the problem is resolved. Back up all data before making any changes. Keep in mind that no one here represents Apple or can help with customer-service issues.

Make sure anti-virus and other security software is disabled.

Also, check your hosts file to verify that it's not blocking iTunes from communicating with the update server. See the steps under the heading "Blocked by configuration (Mac OS X / Windows) > Rebuild network information > Mac OS X > The hosts file may also be blocking the iTunes Store." If you have software used to perform unauthorized modifications to the iOS device, uninstall this software prior to editing the hosts file to prevent that software from automatically modifying the hosts file again on restart.

If your iPhone and iPad are both running iOS 6, and your iPhone successfully registered it's phone number in Settings>Messages>Send & Receive, all you should have to do on your iPad is go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive and sign in with the same Apple ID you are using on your phone.
If it is, and it still isn't working, try going to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive, tap the ID, sign out, then sign back in.

i got the same....the ones tht charge u 9.99 a month. i didnt even open it nd it still charged me. i already had them blocked on all my phones through verizon sumhow it went through. so i jus called up verizon again explained wut happened nd they took it off, all the charges. so mayb jus go down to ur local verizon store and tell them u want them blocked from coming to ur phone. hope i helped u out!! good luck

1) ensure iTunes is authorized for your iTunes store account(s)
2) connect your device and right-click or control-click it in the iTunes Source list, then choose transfer purchases from the shortcut menu that appears.
3) sync the device
iTunes will wipe the iPad but, since you transferred your purchases in the previous step, your content will be in your library and you can re-populate the iPad with it.
