How do you get your passwords on itunes if your device is disabled?

How do you get your password for your device on itunes?

If you mean passcode, you can't get it from iTunes.  You have to follow one of the solutions listed at the bottom of this article: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1212.

My money is on one of the two suggestions that my colleague has given you, but if all else fails......
You can also reset the home screen layout and the icon will reappear - but the home screen will return to the way that it looked when you first activated your iPad.
    Settings>General>Reset>Reset Home Screen Layout.

  • How Do You Get Safari Passwords to iOS?

How do you get Safari-generated passwords to iOS? Manually? Many of my accounts have standard Safari access in OS, but separate apps in iOS.

Double-clicking in the userid would help. You may have noticed when you start to type in the userid it will fill the userid for you if you started with the correct letter, double-clicking makes it unnecessary to type that first letter correctly.
Some sites such as Google seem to get lost when you sign in because they already presented a login beforehand. Click on the "sign in as another user", then pick your userid from the drop-down.

  • How do you get movies off one itunes library, and into another.

I recently bought a dvd, and it had a free download for itunes to i uploaded it. On a different user, on the same computer, i have another itunes library in which i have all my music. It didn't transfer this purchase, and is there i way i can get the file into my itunes library?

Open your other library, go to File>Add to library and navigate to the folder containing the files you want to add. Once they are in your new library delete them from the other library making sure that when you get the prompt to move them to trash say no. You should also back your purchases up to disc or to an external drive so you don't lose them of anything happens to your hard drive:

  • How do you get around password protection?

i recently bought an apple graphite g4 tower running O.S. X.
i got home and set it up, but it won't let me update anything.
anybody know how to get around the password protection?

    Dorian,
As stated by reese, if you boot off of the install disk you will have options to do things that are not available when running the system.
Apple includes on the install disk a utility for your hard drive that does not come on Windows install disks (AFAIK). You can do repairs on the hard drive, erase and reformat it, partition it, etc..
There is also (under File on the top menu bar) a little utility for changing the password.
The only issue that you may run into is that if the install disk is not a retail/universal, the rom files for booting your particular computer may not be on the disk. This is likely if the install disk you are trying to use is from an imac or ibook.
As for getting around password protection, I suppose it is possible. But the National Security Administration considers the mac, with its password protection schemes, to be one of the more secure systems on the market. It is one of the reasons that the install disks have that little utility for resetting the password.
One last thing. The password reset does depend on the system files to be in order. If the directory was messed up the password reset may not proceed. I have had that happen some time ago.

  • How do you get music back into iTunes?

I know that if you delete a song from iTunes, it still stays on your computer, just not in iTunes. Since I have Windows, the deleted songs still stay as a Quicktime file in my documents/my music/itunes. I accidentily deleted "complilations" which had around 50 songs on it... but was weird was it didnt ask me if i wanted to delete the artist, it just did it. but other then burning the songs to a CD and uploading them again, does anybody know a way to get them back to itunes? Thanks in advance.

my friend jess put her var folder in the trashcan so she could make room on her laptop but her apps started to stop working and then her computer turned to the screen with the wheel on it and now shes freaking out help!
(also she wants to know if all her tv shows are going to be deleted)
    PLEASE HELP

How well do you know your way around Mac OS?
you are going to need to boot into Recovery and reinstall the system.
they should already be using TimeMachine at a minimum for backups
If you need to erase the system drive AND don't have backups, then yes you could lose files.
Also might want to shop for some drives to help with this /
Install OS X to another external drive rather than on the laptop's so you can boot and work at backups and reinstall and repairs.
Install or Reinstall Mavericks or Mountain Lion from Scratch
Be sure you backup your files to an external drive or second internal drive because
the following procedure will remove everything from the hard drive.
OS X Mavericks- Erase and reinstall OS X
OS X Mountain Lion- Erase and reinstall OS X
OS X Lion- Erase and reinstall Mac OS X
About TimeMachine backups and Recovery Mode
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1427
    http://www.apple.com/osx/recovery/
OS X Lion and later let you:
Start from OS X Recovery using your Time Machine backup disk. With OS X v10.7.3 and later, Time Machine backs up the Recovery System on your Mac to your backup drive as well. This lets you use your Time Machine drive to start up your Mac if needed.     OS X Recovery:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4718
    OS X Internet Recovery
Mac models introduced after public availability of OS X Lion include the ability to start up directly from an Internet-based version of the OS X Recovery system. OS X automatically uses this feature when the Recovery System on the hard disk isn't available (such as when your hard disk encounters an issue, or when your hard disk has been replaced or erased). OS X Internet Recovery lets you start your Mac directly from Apple's servers. Starting up from this system performs a quick test of your memory and hard drive to check for hardware issues.
OS X Internet Recovery presents a limited interface at first, with only the ability to select your preferred Wi-Fi network and, if needed, entering a passphrase. Next, OS X Internet Recovery downloads and starts from a Recovery System image. From there, you are offered the same utilities and options as a local Recovery System.
Requirements for reinstalling OS X using Recovery
Reinstalling OS X using OS X Recovery requires broadband access to the Internet via Wi-Fi or an Ethernet connection. OS X is downloaded over the Internet from Apple when OS X Recovery is used for reinstallation
If you use Internet Recovery to reinstall OS X, it installs the version of OS X that originally came with your computer. After installation is finished, use the Mac App Store to install related updates or later versions of OS X that you have previously purchased.
What to do if the installer warns that no Recovery System can be created
Some disk partition configurations may result in the OS X installer reporting that it could not create a Recovery System. In these situations, even if you are permitted to continue the install, you may want to quit the installation and create an external, bootable OS X hard drive with a Recovery System, first. You can continue your OS X upgrade on your computer's startup drive after creating an external Recovery System.
Your storage device must have at least 13 GB available (after formatting) to install OS X Lion or later and a Recovery partition.
These steps erase and reformat the storage device. This article instructs you on setting up a storage device to use the GUID partition scheme and the Mac OS Extended (Journaled) format, which are required to install OS X and a Recovery partition on your external storage device. You should back up any important files that are on the device to a different drive.
This procedure installs a version of OS X that is compatible with the Mac it was created with. Using this OS X system with a different Mac model may produce unpredictable results.
Your computer's serial number is sent to Apple as part of this process to help authenticate your request to download and install OS X Lion.

  • How do you get ALL reminders to show in your notification centre?

So weird. All of them showed up on my old iPhone 4, which was on iOS 7 at the time already. Now I'm on a 5S, and all I see are the ones that have an alarm. Is there anyway to change/fix this so that I can see them all? I've tried toggling the on and off switch for "Reminders" under the Notification Centre tab in Settings, but nothing changes. Thanks!

the first generation Apple TV had a hard disk where you could synchronise media from iTunes to it
so it showed up in itunes
the newer appletvs don't have storage for other usage as cash
and access media by streaming it from the computers shared iTunes lib so it does not show up as a device in iTunes
unless you connect the Apple TV to the computer by microUSB cable and then it's only purpose is to restore a failed firmware of the Apple TV

  • How do you get a real manager to review your account?

I have been with Verizon for 14 years but after my experience on 3/31 & again on 4/1 that  it might as well have been 14 minutes.  I am absolutely mortified by every single agent that I dealt with over the 5 hour period between the two days trying to upgrade my plan.  (And for the record, my plan is still not upgrade, nor has my request for a call back by management been answered 3 days later. I had an unsuccessful attempt trying to change my plan online and upgrade my two iphones that have been out of contract for over a year so I called customer service. I was not only disconnected, transferred to a number that was closed, but spend hours waiting to finally speak to a real person.  Let's explain, after 1 close incident of being helped (2nd time calling in 45 minutes waiting), the person only transferred me to a "less busy department" where I was placed on hold again.   2 hours into the evening I finally spoke with a representative. The rep spent 30 minutes on the phone with me, explained plan options, confirmed where to ship the 2 new free iphone 5c but then on his side, said he couldn't get the promotion code to enter but "not to worry", he will have his manager take care of it the next day.   I called back the next day, and jumped thru the same holding hoops, only to find out that there "nothing they can do, no way to complete my transaction from the night before and they don't show anything".   I requested to be transferred to a manager because I was told 3 times the night before it was not a big deal, I would get the iphone 5c for free, it was just a technical issue on the rep side and now this other employee is saying, "Nope, nothing can be done, your too late".  How am I too late? I called, I attempted to upgrade, that employee ran into technical issues, and I have to miss out on taking advantage of a phone upgrade promo?   They said they would open up a 360 and someone may or may not call me back. This is the worst way to treat customers and the best ways to lose them. Their entire call center if full of people who can't make things happen for customers, but only to be rude, difficult and antagonizing.    Verizon is fine if you never have to deal with customer service, so its a sign and quit once out of contract.

On the right side of the page, underneath the "welcome", click on "my settings". The first section is "profile", at the bottom of the "profile" section should be a link for avatars, click on that & make your choice.

  • How do you get a rescue email without knowing your security questions

Hey, So I know this sounds pretty stupid at first, but let me explain a bit; I made my apple Id on my I Pod Touch, and it asked me to make security questions (in which I made two, this is where the "fun" begins), however it didn't ask me to make a rescue email as that was going to just be my E-mail account and the link to change the security passwords isn't appearing, and as such I now am stuck: with two security questions that I don't remember the answers too and I don't have the option to send the info I need to my e-mail account, If you can help me; that would be apreciated

         1. If you have a valid rescue email address, then use this procedure:

         4. Account security issues almost always require you to speak directly to an
Apple representative to securely establish your identity as the account holder.
You can set it up so that Apple calls you, either immediately or at a time
             convenient to you.
                1. Go to www.apple.com/support.
                2. Choose Contact Support and click Contact Us.
                3. Choose Other Apple ID Topics and choose the appropriate topic for
                    your issue.
                4. Follow the onscreen instructions.
Note: If you have already forgotten your security questions, then you cannot
set up a rescue email address in order to reset them. You must set up
             the rescue email address beforehand.

  • How do you get drum loops tempo to match your track?

We've recorded a few different projects with acoustic guitar tracks and are having trouble getting the drum loops to match the beat/tempo of our tracks. Even with Groove Matching, it still sounds a little bit off. Any suggestions?

Did you record your guitars to a steady metronome? If you have a varying tempo, it will be hard to match the beat to them.
