How do you have 2 Safari windows open and show both pages simultaneously on the monitor

How do you keep open 2 Safari windows and show both pages on monitor?

While in Safari with your first window open go to the File menu and select New Window. That will open the second window on which you can navigate to your second web page. Resize both windows to fit on your display.

    Hi Swampxiix,
    How many programs do you have open while you're working in Illustrator? Do you have a lot of layers or art boards?
    It could be that your computer was being slowed by too many programs, or a complex design file. The age of your computer could also be a culprit.

  • How can i have to windows open at the same time

    i have to applications open and i want them on the same window at the same time but these little triangles show up and only allow me to have one open on my screen, i was able to before however. How can i change this?

    Open the first website you want and then click on "file" and then on "new window." Another window will appear so now you have 2 windows on your screen. Reduce the two windows so that they both fit on your screen. Now click on the edge of either window and then on the book mark of the website you want and that website will appear in that window, and do the same thing on the other window for a different book mark, OR type in a different website name in each of the windows and you will get those websites in the respective windows.
    I know...it seems so easy, but I had to ask someone else how to do it too !

    You can use this button to go to the currently used Firefox profile folder:

    Windows hides some file extensions by default.
    Among them are .html and .ini and .js and .txt, so you may only see file name without file extension.
    You can see the real file type (file extension) in the properties of the file via the right-click context menu in Windows Explorer.

  • How do I have two windows open side by side in Mountain Lion

    I want to open two windows side by side for comparison purposes.  Can anyone tell me how to do this please?  BUT when I input something into one window, I don't want the other window to close.  I know this can be done on my Windows laptop but I'm now using Mountain Lion on a new Mac - maybe it's something I have to learn to do without.
    Any help would most appreciated.
    Thanks Sue.

    You want to have two browser windows open at the same time?
    In Safari, just type command + n, and a new Safari window will open. You can use either window independently.
    (Trust I have understood your question.)

  • How do you stop Safari from removing last download when it's of the same file type? (e.g., when I download a new pps file I can no longer open a pps file that I've just downloaded)

    When I download a .pps file, I can open it from the downloads and everything is great. But if I try to download another one, then I can no longer access the previous download from the download bar. This is very annoying to me as I download and open dozens of these files every day. Is there some way that I can display all the files in the download bar and not just the last file downloaded of a certain type (a way to get Safari to stop hiding the .pps files)

    To prevent Firefox from displaying form autocomplete suggestions, you can turn off that feature using the about:config page.
    In the address bar, type or paste '''about:config''' and tap the Enter/Return key.
    I suggest bookmarking this for easier future access.
    In the search box, type or paste '''formf''' and tap the Enter/Return key.
    Scroll down to '''browser.formfill.enable''' and tap the Toggle button to switch it from true to false.
    That's it. Does it work on Facebook?

  • How do you save main window size and placement upon boot-up?

    Is there any way for a dual-monitor user to convince InDesign to remember the size and shape of the main window when I boot up?  I use InDesign on my second monitor, which I have rotated to portrait mode.  The workspace I have saved remembers all of my menues and panels, but the main window always shows up on my main monitor.  InDesign 5 remembered....
    Also, how do you permanently turn off that damn "getting started" window?
    Thanks.

    I'm guessing your on a Mac with a recent version of Mac OS X. Am I correct?
    You'll have the best luck having InDesign remember your window size if you choose Window > Application Frame. Then resize the frame to the size you prefer. It should stick.
    People have found bugs with windows on a secondary monitor if they're using Mac OS X 10.10.2. If you're running 10.10.3 it should solve that problem.
    To get rid of the Getting Started window, scroll to the bottom of most tabs, and choose not show the window again by checking a checkbox.

  • When opening firefox pop up says firefox is already running close window or restart computer this is happening all the time and i have no windows open so i can not get on the internet

    When i switch my laptop on then double click Firefox to go on the internet a pop up appears more often than not saying Firefox is already running you have to close existing window or restart your computer, i have nothing at all running so i have to restart the computer only to find the same thing happens again and again. I have someone coming to look at my laptop today if they discover anything i will post the findings. Many Thanks Dancingflame

  • How do you get IDcs5 to open and display properly??

    Purchased InDesign CS5 and it worked well for the first few months then it decided not to open up properly onscreen? Now when opening all I ever get is a tiny portion of the tool bar appearing in the upper left corner of the screen. If I use the 'expand' button it only fills the screen with a completely blank page which is of no use. So I'm left to resort to manually clicking and dragging the toolbar to open the workspace to fill the screen......even then, it tends to 'snap back' to the tiny toolbar in the upper left corner? This is very annoying and frustrating to say the least! I'm working in a windows environment running Windows 7 if that makes any difference. I've searched but there appears to be no fix for this? Why does it not just open up on screen properly like every other program??? Why can't the folks at ADOBE fix this? The only reason I'm using this program is because one of our biggest clients insists on using InDesign, otherwise I'd dump it! Does anyone know the cause or fix for this? Sure would appreciate it! Thanks!

    @Peter – I cannot tell what's going on here, because I'm working on a Mac OSX 10.6.8.
    I've seen such a thing in InDesign CS4, but not in InDesign CS5.5 anymore.
    However, maybe it is possible to resize the main window by scripting its bounds.
    For that, one file must be opened and its window must be resized with JavaScript. At least on a Mac. Could be different on Windows, because some UI elements behave different from OS to OS.
    To get the right values for the bounds you could do the following:
    Start InDesign, maximize it manually, open a new document. You need not to save it.
    Then start the following line of code, that will read out the bounds of the window and present them as text in a "palette" type of window:
    #targetengine "session";
    //Get the bounds and convert them to a String object:
    var myMessageString = String(app.documents[0].windows[0].bounds);
    var w=new Window("palette","ReadOutBoundsOfWindow:");
    var e=w.add("edittext",[0,0,200,50],myMessageString,{multiline: true,scrolling:true});
    e.active = true;
    w.show();
    As a result you'll get a string of 4 numbers in a "palette" highlighted.
    Copy/paste the values together with separating commas to your text editor or the ESTK.
    Currently I'm on a MacBook Pro and the numbers I will get with that method are: 22,0,999,1680.
    The numbers will be different, depending on your screen size and resolution. They are values for pixels in the form: [top, left, bottom, right].
    Now you can close the palette.
    That was just the preparation for the following lines of code, that will set the bounds.
    Every time after you restarted InDesign, you could execute the following script (you can assign a keyboard shortcut to it):
    app.documents.add();
    //Exchange the values in the brackets with YOUR values you obtained with the other script.
    //Thiese values set the working window to a specific size [top, left, bottom, right]:
    app.documents[0].windows[0].bounds = [22,0,999,1680]; //Thiese are the values of my specific MacBook Pro.
    //Now we don't need the dummie document anymore. Close it:
    app.documents[0].close(SaveOptions.NO);
    Like I said, it's working on a Mac.
    Don't know if it will on MS Windows.

  • When clicking a link normally - a new tab would open, but in this version a new window opens and there are 2 blue bars - the bar at the top of the browser and on the left hand side is a orange firefox button - Next time i start firefox it crashes!!!

    This window looks weird: there are 2 blue bars(the upper blue bar - normally there is 1, with the current page name and - Mozilla Firefox written in white inside of the bar) plus in the 2nd bar there is an orange firefox button, on the left hand side.
    I have already asked this question and was adviced to start in safe mode - this did not help either.
    Please help me quickliy, it is really annoying.
    Thanks
