How do you hide the cursor in full screen visualizer?

Using iTunes version 11.0.1 on new macbook pro with retina display. Sure would like to use the visualizer full screen without the annoying cursor remaing on the screen. Thanks in advance.

I wouldn't have had the chance to find out that you can do this by opening a new document window with Window > Arrange > New Window, and seeing the effect of the changes applied to the highlighted text in one window, appear in the other window without the obscuring selection highlight. You can even set one window to display in the Preview mode and the other in Normal or Preview.

One way to do this is to create a custom cursor based on a completely tranparent image. Then when you want to hide the cursor, set the cursor to the transparent one.

How do I hide the wireless identity from others? I am using airport + time capsule.

I think you may be referring to the option to "close" your wireless network. If you enable this option, the theory is that other users around you will not "see" the name of your wireless network.
But, this "feature" is long out of date. There are dozens of free utilities on the Internet that will display your network name in seconds. All the neighborhood teenagers who are looking for free Internet already have the applications.
On the other hand, it might help keep a few honest neighbors from seeing the name of your wireless network if that would be important to you.

I have it turned on in the Windows mouse settings. It hides in all other programs except Firefox. I have Win7 and Firefox 13.0.1

How do you hide the Page Options button on dashboards in 11g?

I would like to hide the "Page Options" button on a dashboard in 11g. I found some examples on how to do it in 10g, and they all talk about editing a file called dashboardtemplates.xml. I can't find this file on my 11g BI server, so I'm assuming the file was part of 10g but not 11g. Has anyone figured out how to hide the "Page Options" button on a dashboard in 11g?

thanks for your reply, but I have a feeling that your solution is for obiee 10g and not for obiee 11g. We are using 11g, and when running Analytics (Answers), I don't see a "Settings" option, but I seem to recall that in 10g there is a "Settings" button/link. Also, I don't understand how your solution answers my question. You describe how to grant "everyone" read permissions on dashboards, but I want to know how to hide the "Page Options" button on dashboards.

It is not possible to hide parameters in crystal XI. Once it is created you should enter all the parameters in order to run the report. In CR2008 you have a new option optional parameters in which you can run the report without entering any parameter value but here also you cannot hide the parameters but you can run the report without entering parameter values.

How do you exit a game from full screen mode when the game has crashed?

Hey there
There has seriously got to be a better way of exiting a crashed game than just turning the power off.
I sometimes play Sims 3 on my mac, and we all know that Sims 3 is the most poorly coded game out there, so it crashes a lot. I don't understand how you can get out of the full screen without switching the machine off the wrong way.
I have tried every single keyboard command people say to exit full screen mode, but they don't work when the game has crashed! In fact pressed every single button on the keyboard to try and exit, but nothing works.
On Windows it's so simple, you press the start button on the keyboard, but on a mac it doesnt work.
So any help to what i can do?

Command + option + esc
It's like control + alt + delete on Windows.

When opening a new tab, how can you make the cursor automatically go to the address bar?

In my previous version of firefox, the cursor would go directly to the address bar when I opened a new tab. Thus, I could start typing the web address I wanted to go to immediately. However I upgraded to Firefox 4 today and I now have to manually click in the address bar. Is there any way to change this in settings or by installing a specific add-on?

You only get the cursor in the search bar if you open the built-in about:home page.<br />
For other websites you need an extension.

How do I hide the cursor?

I know this is not the right place, but I think someone here will know this.
I made a DVD that is being used with a touchscreen. When I play the dvd on a mac in the apple dvd player, in fullscreen kiosk mode, I want the cursor to be invisible. I still need the mouse to work to select tracks, but I want the cursor to not be seen.

if you want the Mac to be used as a Kiosk machine, the Mac will need additional Kiosk management software for the Mac to work properly the way you ask

CRVS2010 Beta - How do you hide the Group Tree for Visual Studio 2010

Would anyone know how to hide the group tree in the Crystal Reports viewer for Visual Studio 2010. I have tried
DisplayGroupTree="False" and found the property doesn't exist in the new version for VS 2010. I have search in the designer options and found nothing. Note this report is for ASP.net.

How do you turn off filmstrip in Full Screen View?

I just upgraded to version 3.4.3. In Full Screen Mode, a film strip now appears on the screen (see image below). I want to reclaim that real estate. The filmstrip was not present in the prior version. Did I somehow turn it on accidently? If so, how do I turn it off? Or, is this a new, but unwanted part of 3.4.3?
So far I am unimpressed with this new upgrade. It is not user friendly. As many have posted before, losing the colored folders, etc is not user friendly at all.

The filmstrip can be locked or unlocked, depending on the setting of the slider at the right hand side of the filmstrip: If you unlock it, it will only appear, if you move the mouse to the lower border of the screen.

This is probably something that has been covered in the past, but how can the mouse cursor be hidden in full-screen? In Win32 API it's very simple, just ShowCursor(FALSE/TRUE); but in Java?

and to further confuse matters, heres the optimal solution :D
