How do you identify Contribute "browsers" from others?

I'd like to show some extra information to people who are
browsing a contribute capable site. E.g., having a hidden div with
special edit instructions at the top of the page that only shows if
the browser type is Contribute (and probably from a specific domain
/ ip range).
However, all my HTTP header splunking shows that Contribute
doesn't seem to supply any special identifying info. In fact the
user-agent header is the same as IE.
So, does anyone know a way to identify Contribute at the
server side?
Also, it would be nice if there was a way to have a locally
defined Contribute schema that would launch contribute from the web
browser (I know about the tool bar...). That way, authorized users
(in the web app sense) could see a link like:
<a href="contribute://site/currentURL" >Edit this page
in Contribute</a>
You could then be browsing a site with IE/Firefox/Opera and
click to edit, even if you have turned of the Contribute tool
bar.

I've checked the New pages section and for this particular
site all options are disabled for all user groups.
While it is greyed out when you just view a page it becomes
enabled when you are in edit mode.
When I'm editing an existing page in this site I can still
save a copy by using File > Actions > Publish as New Page.
Are there any other settings I should check?

I think you may be referring to the option to "close" your wireless network. If you enable this option, the theory is that other users around you will not "see" the name of your wireless network.
But, this "feature" is long out of date. There are dozens of free utilities on the Internet that will display your network name in seconds. All the neighborhood teenagers who are looking for free Internet already have the applications.
On the other hand, it might help keep a few honest neighbors from seeing the name of your wireless network if that would be important to you.

It should be around 7 and a half gigs. In iTunes, across the bottom there should be a bar that show how much storage is being used and by what. (music, movies, apps, etc.) To make music take up less room, you can check the box to make it convert the music to 128kbps AAC. This lowers the quality, but with most earbuds and speakers, you can't even tell the difference.
The iPod touch has parental controls built in. You'll find them in Settings. I think they only work for enabling/disabling Safari, Mail, YouTube, and App Store. Here's an app that does more: http://www.mobicip.com/online_safety/ipod_touch

If it was originally on the camera roll try this: take another unimportant photo for test purposes, copy it to any special folder you have created within Photos, connect your iPad to your computer, locate it as any other external device, and most likely that Photos folder will be the only thing that will show up, locate the photo, delete it and then sync your iPad.
If the test photo is gone from the camera roll but still in another folder within the app then you know that the system works so go ahead with the process. I understand that there are other photo apps which might let you achieve your goal much quicker.

You won't need that with a PhaseListener. You could use something like the following:

Since a photo can be assigned to multiple albums, how do you identify duplicates and their source? Upon moving over to Photos, I now see a lot of duplicates showing up and have no idea where they belong so cannot just delete them ;-(

looked in 'common...media core...' and found the new blue trial plugins
also had the duplicates of the new blue plugins in the AE plugins 'effects' folder
deleted the plugins from the 'media core' folder
no more warning signs...

Yes, I believe you when you say you can only send messages to other Apple products. The iPad is not a telephone, and therefore, it cannot text message. It can only iMessage, which means it can send and receive messages to/from other Apple products if they are on WiFi or an iMessage capable cellular network.
Email, however, is a whole different category. I don't really think you can only exchange email with other Apple products only. Make sure you have correctly identified the symptoms.

On your computer's iTunes you should be able to edit your payment info by going into the Store > View Account menu option and logging into your account, and on your account's details page there should be a payment link. If you are doing it on your iPhone then try tapping on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and select 'View Apple ID' on the popup - that should also give you a payments link on your account's page.

Is it possible to transfer a voice memo to my computer and then convert that to text that can be printed?
Here is my problem. I study harbor seals and have always taken hand written notes that then must be typed into the computer when I get home from an observation. Is there any way I can dictate what I see to a voice memo and then have that translated to text. If there is which would do it best an iphone or ipad (I have neither, just a tracphone for an emergency).
Perhaps this is asking too much from the technology available but it would be a great help if I could do this.

Use NVL or COALESCE:
NVL (col_a, col_b)
Returns col_a if col_a is not NULL; otherwise, it returns col_b.
Col_a and col_b must have similar (if not identical) datatypes; for example, if col_a is a DATE, then col_b can be another DATE or it can be a TIMESTAMP, but it can't be a VARCHAR2.
