How do you install 3rd party filters (*.8bf) in PS CC

I am trying to install the Kodak DigitalROCProv2.8bf filter in Photoshop CC. I got it to work in PSE 11 and 12 buy setting the additional plug-ins path. Their support is useless, so that's why I am trying here.

Thanks, it now works in the 32 bit and as you said not in the 64 bit. I also had to put admin rights on the exe (Kodaks issue). I believe the Program paths listed are backwards however. The (x86) paths re 32 bit and the other is 64. See the following

C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC\Plug-ins
I did see those dirs, but since there were no 8bf files in them I assumed they were not for them, I found 8bf files in here
C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC\Required\Plug-Ins\Effects and put the new filter there to no affect.

Our fine customer service/tech support wouldn't help me with my question/problem because 3rd party plug-ins are not an Adobe product.... Silly, isn't it since all I want to know is how do you install "any" plug-ins into Adobe Photoshop CC. Can anyone with any sanity here offer a solution?

It could be complex depending on your OS and user ID permissions. Adobe Photoshop CC Mac version only supports new Mac with Intel 64bit processors, Photoshop CC windows supports both 64 bit systems and 32 bit systems. If you have a 64 bit system both the 32 bit and 64 bit version of Photoshop are installed so windows has both a 32 bit Plug-in Folder and a 64 Bit Plug-in Folder. Prior to CC Photoshop Preference let you add you own Plug-in folder tree to Photoshop Plug-in folder tree. I still install Plug-in that way however I have to add the link manually for adobe removed that option from its Preferences UI in Photoshop CC. I always have more the one versions of Photoshop and all installed versions use the same Plug-in, Actions and Scripts that I add to Photoshop. There is One exception. The Way the Image Processor Pro plug-in script is coded expects it and it default XML file to be installed into Adobe's folder so I made and exception for it. You user ID need to have permission to modify and add files to system folders if you want to install plug-ins into the folders that Adobe created for third party plug-ins to be installed into.
Adobe Photoshop CC installer creates a folder in Photoshop version ...\Plug-ins\... so on my Window 7 64 bit system there are two folders
"C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC (64 Bit)\Plug-ins\" and
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC\Plug-ins\"
All I add to these are the Adobe ScriptListener.8li Plug-in and a link to my Plug-ins folder.

You could add form fields or comment annotations. If you want to modify the text directly you may need to OCR the pdf and convert it to a text or Word document, edit the text, then make a new PDF.

Motion 3rd Party Filters

How do I install 3rd party filters in Motion 3? Also.. How can I remove folders in the 3rd party filters tab within Motion. Where is the 3rd Party Filters folder in the finder? thanks

I have all that, but I don't understand how to do it.. In the original Motion, there was a 3rd party location selection in the prefs.. The manual, on page 139, says Click Choose (next to the search path). I cannot find that... I can only find the CHOOSE for the Library Path.
On page 139 it states that the FX have to be Universal, but on page 963, it says it 3rd party filters only work on Power PCs...
I've also added a few "Untitled Folder"s to the 3rd Party Filters tab within Motion. How can I remove them? Do they physically sit on the hard drive somewhere?

How do you install and delete 3rd party plugins from Logic 9?

I have been trying to install RX2 from iZotope with no success. I can authorize it in the standalone version but not in logic. I had a previous demo version of it installed and everytime I went to authorize it would point to the earlier version and not authorize and run in demo. I removed a number of files pertaining to it from HD & User/ Library/ Preferences and Audio/ Components and tried reinstalling. Now it doesn't even show up in the plugin list. Can anyone tell me how to clear this up? Also, how to deal with 3rd party plugins. What can I say, no problems with Reaper! Appreciate any help with this. Thanks

The Isotope website isn't very clear about it.. It seems to indicate the Windows version is 32 and 64 bit where as the AU version is 32bit and will work/is compatible with Logic 64bit.. which it will as it will run under the 32 to 64bit bridge... when Logic is run in 64bit mode..but as i said, it's hard to tell one way or the other.
The thing is, if you simply reinstall it.. and then run Logic first in 32bit mode and then in 64bit mode.. it should show up.
Where are you looking for it in Logic?
Does it show up in the AU Plugin Manager? (after, that is you have reinstalled it)

Can't apply my 3rd party filters anymore in Photoshop CS5 after installing a twain driver

I installed a twain driver (i now realize this was a mistake) in my CS5 for the purpose of scanning within it. Since doing so, I can no longer apply my topaz filters (or any 3rd party filters for that matter). The filter interface opens fine, and i can see the filter on my image, however, when I click out of it, nothing is applied to my image. Help?!?

For a very quick fix, try removing the Adobe TWAIN plug-in or at least disabling it by closing Photoshop and typing a ~ (that's a tilde ~) in front of its name, then relaunch Photoshop.
That's why Adobe doesn't even include the now-optional TWAIN plug-in as part of the default installation of Photoshop any more.

CC is a marketing/ licensing model, not a technical change. Yes, actions, presets and al lthe otehr stuff will be installable just like in the past locally, but these options will be expanded by the new online sharing and configuration sync features.

If you migrate your CC presets you should get your Actions, Pattens, Sahapes, Shapes etc back. Menu Edit>Presets>Migrare Presets. You need to copy or to install you 3rd Party plug-ins into CC 2014.

I have called Microsoft Permium Support, base on the reply, SharePoint 2013 does not support to index a PDF file attachment in E-mail (msg) except 3rd party iFilter installed. And they finally told me how to edit Windows Registry for install the Adobe iFilter.
But, the Adobe iFilter is too weak to call large PDF files. So, I would like to install and try the Foxit PDF iFilter, but I cannot find an installation guide for this 3rd party ifilter with SharePoint 2013.
Does anyone here have the experience for Foxit PDF iFilter with SharePoint 2013 can help me?
I am not sure it is bug or feature in SharePoint 2013, but in case I still have to install 3rd party iFilter for index PDF file. I have no idea what is the out of box pdf file indexing support for.
