How do you instantly 'stop' or 'cancel' a long save?

I made the mistake of creating a new project from an old HUGE project. I forgot to kill all the audio tracks I didn't want from the OLD project. So now I'm sitting here watching Logic transfer God knows how many audio tracks.
I just want to kill the save ... WITHOUT doing a Force Quit. I may not have saved the work I'd done before starting the 'save as'.
I can't seem to find a way to 'cancel' the 'save as' ... and still keep the project open.

I'll do a test when I get back this evening. The long save had completed itself before I got the answer as to how to stop the beast. And I was too busy thereafter to run a test.
I'll run a test tonight ... though I'm sure it works ... so I will mark 'solved'.

i followed the directions to deauthorize one "fried" computer and one old Windows laptop i no longer use from my new MacBook Pro. When i go into iTunes on my new MacBook Pro, however, iTunes says i still have 5 authorized computers and i can't set up my music on my laptop using iTunes Match. I did not deauthorize all my computers because i still have an iphone and two ipads. Now that i've invoked deauthorize, what am i supposed to do for the next 12 months until i can deauthorize again?

How do I deal with project bloat? Long Save time is getting worse?

Here are the FB posts I have got about this issue. I tried to paste them neatly but didn't work.
To be honest I am baffled that such an advanced NLE has so many issues. There should be a warning about the Warp Stabilizer messing up a project I had no idea till now.
This was my question to a PP user group on FB.
I am cutting a 60+ minute doc with lots of source material and the project takes a dogs age to save now which is beginning to interrupt my workflow. I would have thought the save would take less time depending on how much work was done since the last save. I suppose working with Proxies might be the solution but I am already 70% done.

Saving the project file on an SSD might be a good idea.
Your project size is slowing you down. Create a couple of projects, each containing a part of the footage. Organized in bins as needed. Call them footage projects. Create an other project named edit and cut in there. Use the media browser to browse the footage projects. Import what you need and use search bins to keep it organized.
If you didn't transcode your footage before you started the project it could be part of the problem. And like the other post says only having the footage you are currently working on will also help. The claim that you don't have to transcode when working in Premiere is misleading because in most cases when working with many different source codecs transcoding will always improve your computers performance.
I had the exact same experience cutting a 90 min feature with 120 hours of Pro Res 4444 footage. Long save times are caused by project bloat, either by having too many assets loaded or a lot of warp stabilizer effects applied. Transcoding will only affect playback performance and exports - it doesn't sound like it's the problem in this case.
only some codecs (4K GoPro, 6K R3D, lengthy h264/AVCHD clips for example) benefit from transcoding and will be snappier and playback smoother. But transcoding will never ever help the loading or saving time of your project
Don't apply warp stabilizsr to everything. All those coordinates get stored in project file

nope. Try importing existing project into a new project.
I usually stabilize footage in a separate project to avoid huge project files, and export the stabilized result. Then I use the stabilized version in the main project.
I also work with Nested Sequences a lot. Working in short, manageable timelines. When opening a large project, Premiere will find the footage for the active sequence first, so I can start working quickly, while Premiere is still finding the rest of the footage.
Could do your warp stabilizing in AE and export renders of them, then import those renders into your project so the are just media files instead of files with stabilizer tracking points.

I Create separate sequences or Duplicate Projects for many reasons. eg CC/Grade and
Warp Stabiliser ...definitely. Its even has a slow save impact on After Effects Projects!

I'm not sure if this computer is a MacBook or MacBook Pro, I don't have it with me at the moment. Whenever I connect the Internet with a cable, wifi is sent out and I do not want this. Is there any way I can delete it off my Mac?

Just turn it off with your Network system preferences. For the wireless (airport) service you can even turn on it menu item then you could turn it on or off from your menu bar.

I assume you are talking about a jingle and not a loop - because you could just loop the loop to make it longer.
To lengthen the loop, there's musical ways to achieve that: find certain passages that you can repeat and puzzle them together, that'll keep the tempo of the music. If you can't or don't want to do that, you can stretch the loop to any desired length:
- Set your LED window to show seconds instead of musical measures.
- Double-click the jingle to open the Editor window.
- Check the "follow tempo and pitch" box, the program will go through some analyzing.
- Change the LED window do display the project parameters and play with the tempo slider. You will see that the region will get longer or shorter on the time axis (or the time axis contracts and extends), and you can set it so the piece fits the length of your video. (It's not continuous since the tempo goes in increments.)
However, in your case the music would become 25% slower. That might sound okay, but could also totally damage the feel of the song.

I've created a file in Illustrator cs4 that I need to change the 350 dpi of and to save as a pdf before having it sent out to be printed. I've found ways to change the ppi...but will that do the same thing as changing the dpi? Any advice would be much appreciated!

The device has the dpi not the file itself the file has a ppi resolution the screens are prepared in lpi.
The above explains it the highest resolution I have ever been asked for was 350 ppi for offset printing 300ppi is normal.
In other word you do not control the dpi as Steve mentions.

I don't have that trouble on Win XP, LR 3.4, and never have. Could it be a problem with your mouse driver?

How do you restore the .json file that Lightbeam saves when the "Save Data" button is selected? The Firefox browser (ver. 33) has become slow and I want to disable the blocked sites temporarily to see if that could be the problem. Thanks!

I'm trying to determine whether I can restore the blocked sites in Lightbeam if I choose to reset Lightbeam to solve a slowness issue with my current Firefox browser, ver. 33. The json file that Lightbeam created when "Save Data" is selected does not include any other Firefox data to my knowledge, such as bookmarks and the like. How would you pass more than 255 args?

I have an SFTP program that currently is only passed a single file. I am modifying it so that it will loop though an array of files to simulate an mput command. Originally I was just going to call the program with each file to be transferred as an argument but noticed the 255 argument limit. I am looking at potentially having 1500 - 2000 files to transfer at one time. I am just looking for advice on how this should be designed. One idea that was forwarded to me was to just create a listing of the files on the server and use that list file as my argument. Would this be the best approach for this issue?

It does die at 255 using Java 1.5.Like I said, arguments to a method are thus limited. But the args passed to an app are passed to main as one argument - an array. In short, that article is not relevant to your problem.
