How do you know when icloud restore is finished

Hello,
I am trying to restore an iCloud backup from a phone running iOS6 to an iPad with iOS7.  There is about 2.5GB of data, I believe.  The apps quickly appeared, but the mail accounts have not.  Mail just acts like a brand new setup, with no accounts.  And there are no Photos.  It's been 3 or 4 hours and nothing seems to be happening.
But in the settings it says that the backup is still being restored.
Is this true?  How can I tell if it is doing anything?  I don't know whether to tell it to stop restoring and maybe to try again,
Thanks
Bob

  • How do you know when your MacBook is infected?

Hey All. Well my question is how do you know when your MacBook is infected with a virus? I came off windows and i have norton antivirus so i have something to tell me there. But on the Mac OS you rarely get viruses and i dont have a anitvirus program, so how do you know when you have one? And what does it do?
    Thanks!

Since no ones got one that I know of it is hard to say. I figure that when the day comes that someone writes a Mac virus you will know real quick what happens. If your concerned you could use ClamXav. I use it if I download something for my wife's PC but have never found anything yet.

They were wrong.  Apple Passwords don't expire. Unless you choose to change it, your Apple password can stay with you forever.

  • How do you know when you have the latest software updates

how do you know when yo have the lastest software updates on your older IPOD?  I just purchased on home theater to replace one, Samsung, I was assured that the system would run my IPOD.  I've sync'd my IPOD to my computer a number of times before the purchase and since.  Samsung is telling me that I need to update my IPOD.  My ITunes keeps telling me there aren't any updates out there.

Read the top of the page I gave you the link to. The
latest update that you do not have only added more
support for the Shuffle. If you are not having any
problems leave as is. If you have problems then
download the update. It will ask you for your user
ID. Once you install the updater, your computer will
    reboot.
This is what it says at the download site.. iPod Software 1.0
    * iPod with video
Everything is working fine Barb with the ipod but I was under the assumption that if an update is available, I should download it...

  • How Do You Know When The Zen Touch Is Done Chargi

I searched through the forums and couldn't find anything on this topic.
I want to make sure that I don't overcharge my player, while still filling it to its enormous capacity. How will I know when it's done charging?

On my touch there is a little icon in the upper left corner of the screen showing my battery symbol with a power volt thing over it to show it is charging. This changes back and forth until the charging is done, then there is nothing on the screen at all.

  • How do you know when the person that you've shared the file with has downloaded the file?

After the person get the email that says "I am sharing these files with you.   Click on the image below to view or download your file.", how do you know that they've viewed or downloaded the file?  Do you get an email message or is there something in the shared status that lets you know?

Thank you for your post. Although this is a feature for Buzzword, right now it's not possible to know if someone has viewed a file you've sent via Share. We are working to integrate Share/My Files/Buzzword so that this will be corrected in future.
Let me know if you have additional questions.

  • How do you know when time machine is full?

    Hi there,
Just got my new time machine & everything is okay but just wondering, what happens when it gets full? Do you get a warning when it's about to reach full capacity. Also, to create the available disk space to allow it to carry on backing up, how do you delete say the oldest files. Basically, what I'm asking is how to manage it so it keeps backing up effectively.
    Ta, mMel

Not to worry. One of the big advantages of TM over other backup apps is, TM +manages it's space for you.+
As you probably know, TM keeps it's hourly backups for 24 hours; and converts the first of the day into a daily backup which it keeps for a month. Then it converts one per week into a weekly backup that it keeps as long as there's room.
Thus, it will fill whatever drive/partition you assign to it.
When there's not room for new backups, it will begin deleting the oldest of those weeklies, but it's smart enough that it won't delete it's copy of anything that still exists on your HD.
    Cool, eh?

  • How do you know when your iphone 4s is done charging if your phone is turned off?

Does it have to be turned on to see if it's hit 100%? I have an older generation Ipod that has a battery symbol when charging and you know it's 100% charged when all the bars are full- it comes up as an icon on the screen. This is my first time charging the phone since I got it so just nervous if it's actually charging.

If you plug your iPhone in to charge, even if it is turned off, it will turn on.
However, if you turn it off during a charge, there will be no notification that it has completed its charge.

  • How do you know when items will fall off your credit reports?

Can anyone tell me how you know what date items will fall off your credit report? Thanks

Each individual type of adverse information has its own exclusion date.  They are all set forth in FCRA 605(a). DOFD applies only to a collection or charge-off, which have an exclusion date of no later than 7 years plus 180 days from the DOFD.Monthly account delinquencies are excluded no later than 7 years from their individual dates of occurence.BKs are exluded at 7 or 10 years, depending upon their type.Tax liens become excluded no later than 7 years from date paid.Judgments become excluded on the later of 7 years from date entered, or until the expiration of the statute of limitations on enforceability of the judgment. The credit report exclusion periods are imposed on the CRAs, and set forth the date after which they can no longer include that adverse item in credit reportes they issue. The CRAs are thus required to monitor the relevant date for each type of adverse item.  The consumer should no have to request exclusion or remind the CRA of the exclusion date, but it is possible that they could miss a date, so the consumer should monitor.

  • How do you know when you've backup your Mac?

There was no indication that the Backup was in progress, no bar graph to show you how the backup was progressing, or when it was done. There was nothing to indicate that it finished.
I think it backed up but I'm not sure!

Good question.  Mavericks changed the icon's behaviour.
On the right hand side of the menu bar you will see the Time Machine icon.  Click on it and note the date and time when the last backup finished.
Then pull down to Back Up Now.  You will see a subtile change in the icon showing it is backing up.  An arrow pointing counter clockwise will apper in the circle.  When that arrow goes away the backup will be complete.

  • How do you identify when a report has finished?

    Hi all,
I've got a big report that is taking a while to run (approx 1min) and the problem I'm having is that my users are getting bored of waiting and starting to click around my web application and re-running the report because they think it has failed. The re-running of the report is causing more load on the system and the reports to run even slower. What I would like to do is stop them re-runnning the report maybe by somehow locking the web page until BI publisher has finished but I don't know how to get a message back from BI publisher.
Currently I'm running the BI publisher report by having a button push which redirects the users web browser to a url such as:
    'http://'||:BI_PATH||'/xmlpserver'||:BI_DIRECTORY||'/Custom Reports/'||:p180_report||'/'||:p180_report||'.xdo?_xpf=&_xpt=1&_xdo='||:BI_DIRECTORY||'%2FCustom%20Reports%2F'||:p180_report||'%2F'||:p180_report||'.xdo&_xt='||:p90_template||'&_xf=rtf&_xmode=4'
And then as I'm returning an rtf doc the familiar save, open or cancel popup comes up. The problem is that before the popup appears they can re-click the run report button.
One way round it I've thought of is to have the report generate to a file system and redirect the user to a waiting page that checks periodically for the files existance and then when it does exist forward the user to a page with a view report button. This sounds like a lot of effort, does anybody know of a better way?
I've also wondered if running the report using webservices would be an option, is there a way of getting BI publisher to run a web service when a report has finished? This could then interact with my back end server and the web page could act on that, or am I totally barking up the wrong tree?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks,
    Darren.

    Hi Darren
    couple of ideas
    1. Rather than 'run' the report, get it to run through the scheduler immediately. Once its running through the scheduler you could then poll the scheduler tables to see when it completes. You could either redirect the users to a wait page or show an egg timer until the document has been created. this would require the document to be delivered to somewhere for you to poll as the URL will not return a job id.
    2. Bit more involved but probably better is to hook into BIPs web services. So rather than the button issue an http request it calls a servlet to issue a web service call to BIP to schedule a report. The WS will return the job id to the caller, you can then poll the scheduler via a ws to check the progress of the job. Once complete you can then retrieve the result form the scheduler tables via another call.
    Food for thought I hope
    Tim

  • How do you know when a file is done uploading to idisk?

    Hi,
I work in film/video and I often put files up on my idisk that others can use or view. Often times my team and I use idisk to share files (pictures, music, program files) so that we can access the material on different computers all around the city.
However, we can never tell when something has been entirely uploaded to our idisks. One of us will load it up to our idisk, tell the other it's up there, but when that person goes to the idisk, they see the folders, but there is nothing in them. So what we end up doing is checking, and checking, and checking the idisk to see if new files have "popped up" in the last 5 minutes.
Just so I'm clear, here's what usually happens: I put a folder containing various forms of content on my idisk. It makes the "dong" noise and I see it up there-I click on the folder and all the content is in there. Then the circular clock starts spinning at the bottom of the window and the idisk icon is going through its "syncing" motions. And then I sit and wait for God knows how long because there is no way of telling how long before the files are up on the idisk.
It's all VERY aggravating and I'm close to closing my idisk accnt and swearing off the whole "mobile me."
Please, lend me some knowledge because I really like the apple workflows. But this one is seriously putting a damper on everything.

Perhaps your topic would be better suited for the MobileMe iDisk forum:
    http://discussions.apple.com/forum.jspa?forumID=963
It's unlikely the MacBook is specific to your problem so you might not get too much help here. I would assume Apple has multiple servers with all the iDisk information spread across the world. It's possible there's a bit of lag while they synchronize. But I don't know that for certain.
