How do you listen to the radio on a new nano I got for xmas?

I opened up and read other forums about this topic...the nano itself says 'NO radio signal, please plug in headphones for reception"..well that doesnt work..others suggest we take them off of podcasts...thats a seperate page..it has a file for podcasts and actually a icon for FM RADIO...anyone else have this problem?

I would also like to know the answer to this question.  I have checked the headphone and they work, but when I go to listen to the radio, I get the same message.  Also, when I put the headphones that came with the ipod in, the connection is very loose.  I have used the ones, I had with my other ipod.  They are a little better, but still not as good as the other nano I have.  Does anyone else have a problem with the headphones coming out?  I wonder if I just have a bum ipod?

Apple just does not express an interest in using the FM feature

  • How do you turn on the radio feature?  I don't see it on the home screen.

How do you turn on the radio feature?  I don't see it on the home screen.

If you don't see the radio icon on the home screen, it is likely just turned off in the settings. Go to
    Settings > General > Home Screen >
There you will see radio listed. Make sure that the slider is set to ON.

RainyRain958 you are just BSs. There is no cellular iPod. Here is the comparison

Everyone does things a little differently. I love to "jam " along with iTunes ( or old Lp's) . Always have. That's where/how I've learned to play .
I'm sure leonieDF is giving a proper way to jam along on a keyboard with an iTune. He blows my mind all the time with what he knows. Nuff respects to him !
What I do is make a GB project I call "Jam With". I'll make several new tracks that are blank. Just has a few instruments named in the blank tracks. You can change those per song ...
Because I'm not concerned about changing the pitch / key.... of the iTune or the tempo ... I can simply play along with it.

How can you listen to music and play a game at the same time?
I am playing music, by starting the Crash Baandicoot Nitro Kart 3D game it shuts off the music playing. Is there a way around this?
It seems like this should be possible.

Select the music play list you want to listen to and start it playing. Go back to the home screen and start the app you want to use, music will stop. Press the home button two time quickly and it will bring up a simple control for controling the music. This works for me with all of the apps I have purchased including games. Just a note you can pull up the same music control if the iPod is a sleep and locked by pressing the button three times quickly.

  • How can I listen to the local radio on my ipod when not on wifi?

I used to have an ipod nano and was able to listen to local stations on the radio without being connected to wifi and now I have an ipod touch and no longer have that option.  Is there anyway that I can listen to the local radio stations on my ipod touch without being connected to wifi.  I know there is an adapter that I can get to plug into my car to listen to the radio on my ipod but I have a radio in my car so that defeats the purpose.
If anyone knows a solution please let me know.

do they have an adapter that doesn't require that it be plugged into the car, just the phone.  Also if they do what is it called and where can I get one.

  • How do you grey out a radio button if a text field is blank in Adobe Acrobat XI Pro?

How do you grey out a radio button if a text field is blank in Adobe Acrobat XI Pro?
So this what I'm trying to do:
    (     )   |TEXT FIELD|
    (     )   |TEXT FIELD|
    (     )   |                  |
    (     )   |TEXT FIELD|
    I have a radio button: (     )
    and a text field: |TEXT FIELD|
The third text field is blank, and I would like for the radio button next to it greyed out (user can't click on it) since the text field is blank. Is this possible to achieve? I'm assuming I'll have to use javascript, but what would the code be and would it be entered in the javascript editor for the text field or the radio button?
    Thanks in advance guys

Hey, thanks, but it didn't work
I have the text fields as read only. Could that be why it's not working? Should I make the fields not read only?
    Thanks,

  • How can you tell if the line has errors?

I'll try and keep this as brief as possible.
    <background>
For 2years (up to 6months ago) I was on BE ADSL and was very impressed with the quality of the service (low latency, decent bandwidth) on my line.  However when I heard that FTTC was being rolled out I switched to Zen internet on the understanding that I could then switch to the FTTC product as soon as it was available.
Immediately after switching to Zen I started to experience problems with VOIP (I use VOIP extensions against an externally hosted PBX) and was seeing CRC errors on the line.  In the process (~2months) of getting this diagnosed the FTTC product became available and since I wanted uncapped switched to BT Infinity for Business Option 2.
    </background>
I now find that again I get sporadic VOIP problems (but not as bad as on the ADSL2 service via Zen) but very regular BBC iPlayer dropouts listening to the radio.
Due to the previous problems whilst on ADSL2 I suspect I still have a minor line fault but as I can't access any stats on the line have no way to verify.  Does anyone have any pointers on where to get line stats to see what is going on on the connection? I can't get any info out of the OR modem.
Regarding my network.  I am using a cabled, gigabit connection directly to a Draytek 2820n which is in turn doing the PPPoE through the BT OR modem.  I use two different machines and experience the same issues on both.  I'm a server & network admin by trade so pretty sure it's not my internal infrastructure at fault.
My IP profile is apparently 38717 Kbps down / 10000 KBps up.
BT Speed tester shows achieved 26581 down and 4912 up though

    jmansford,
I may be wrong about this as I am only refering to my own 2750n settings, but looking at your upload throughput test results some if not all of your problems could be due to a wrongly wieghted QoS setting and/or port capacity setting based on QoS.
As you line profile is ok at 38717 Kbps down / 10000 KBps up it looks like there is no problem on your actual line, but phone line noise test might find some crackle, but I don`t think so.
By your post, you say your are routing PPPoE through the Draytek into the OR modem.?
If so,maybe you could try leaving the OR or Draytek out of the chain as a process of testing where faults [if any] are.?
To sum up a bit imo leaving the OR modem out of the net chain might be a better way as I only use the 2750n on it`s own as the OR modem is not then needed.
Opps! sorry I might be wrong in my above thinking, but is your Draytek just a router or a modem/router combined like the 2750n.?
But either way the QoS setting are still important.

  • When I'm listening to the radio or charging it, my i phone gets very hot, is this normal?

Hello, i´ve noted that my IPhone 4 gets really hot (burn the hand) when i´m listening to the radio, or even when it´s charging the battery.
    Is this normal??
    Thank you guys!!

No, if it's too hot to hold, you may want to have it evaluated by someone at the Apple store. Good luck!

  • Listening to the radio

So, the gym I go to isn't the most fancy and instead of having a tv on each machine they just have like a dozen big screens mounted on the walls. Each screen's sound is broadcast over a different FM radio frequency. For example, if I wanted to hear the episode of House playing on the TV in front of me, I would tune my radio to 104.7.
I recently purchased a 3rd Gen 32 GB iPod touch. I'm curious to know what would be the best way for me to be able to continue to listen in like I did with my old ghetto 2 gb, non-apple mp3 player.
Note: My gym does not have wi-fi. I can pick up a signal from a nearby eatery but it is password protected. I've got plans to stop in for food one of these days to see if I can score access to it and then, obviously, having no wi-fi won't be an issue. Until then...
I'd be happy to pay for an app if there is one out there that will work for me. However, most I've seen seem to only tune in to "official" stations, rather than any/all frequencies and/or they require wi-fi. Does any one know of an app that might help me out?
Or is my only resort to purchase an extra piece of hardware of some kind? If so, any rec's there? Preferably one that is backed by Apple and won't void my warranty or some crap. If not, I can always just deal with only being able to read the subtitles or dragging out my old mp3 player, I suppose. But it really seems a shame to have spent $200+ on much nicer and newer technology that can't perform a basic function my old crappy player could. :/

    Hello JBecks,
First of all, welcome to the Apple discussions.
    * I don't know what channel you trying to listen, can you give us the radio station than some of us can try to listen to, ore not.
    * Also you can try iTunes radio channels. There are a lot of good channels to listen.
Let me know if so ...

  • Is there any way to listen to the radio with wireless earbuds?

I just bought a iPod nano 7th generation for my husband along with some wireless earbuds.  He likes to listen to the radio a lot but he has to plug in headphones in order to get a radio signal.  The purpose of the wireless earbuds was to help eliminate the cord.  Now we aren't able to receive a radio signal.  Does anyone know a way around this?

I use the Jaybird and Ultimate Ears 9000 Bluetooth headphones with my 7th gen Nano. Works fine. What models are you attempting to use?

How can you listen to music without headphones?

    - Try cleaning out/blowing out the headphone jack. Try inserting/removing the plug a dozen times or so.
Try the following to rule out a software problem
    - Reset the iPod. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup
    - Restore to factory settings/new iPod.
    - Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. Seems you have a bad headphone jack.
