I tried to load a photo from iPhoto into PS and can't make it work. Actually, I just uploaded all my snaps from my iPhone and wanted to use one to go through the tutorials, and the computer decided I wanted to go to iPhoto.
How do I get a picture into PS?

Please follow the below instructions.
In the Finder, navigate to your iPhoto package file. By default, it's located in /Users/[user name]/Pictures, and it's called iPhoto Library.
Control-click the iPhoto Library file and choose Show Package Contents.
A Finder window opens that shows the contents of the package file. The Masters folder contains all of the photos that are in iPhoto. However, Photoshop cannot access this folder.
Control-click the folder named Masters and choose Duplicate.
Drag the folder named "Masters copy" from the iPhoto Library Finder window to your Desktop. Now you can open images from the desktop in Photoshop.

The ! turns up when iPhoto loses the connection between the thumbnail in the iPhoto Window and the file it represents.
Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .

Do you have a smaller capacity micro SD card to try? I seem to remember from past posts that users were having problems with cards larger than 32GB, however, Apple's page doesn't mention this.

Looks like it records in AVI format at 25 fps. I think that should import to iMovie OK - if not it should import to iPhoto and then be available in the iMovie Events Library under "iPhoto Videos". Importing shouldn't be a problem based on this extract from the web page:
"The glasses can be hooked directly to a PC with the supplied USB cable to view the video, or when using the Micro SD card, it can be inserted into a card reader to watch footage."

I've never seen this issue, and I handle many iPads, of all versions. WiFi issues are generally local to the WiFi router - they are not all of the same quality, range, immunity to interference, etc. You have distance, building construction, and the biggie - interference.
At home, I use Apple routers, and have no issues with any of my WiFi enabled devices, computers, mobile devices, etc - even the lowly PeeCees. I have locations where I have Juniper Networks, as well as Aruba, and a few Netgears - all of them work as they should.
The cheaper routers, Linksys, D-Link, Seimens home units, and many other no name devices have caused issues of various kinds, and even connectivity.
I have no idea what Starbucks uses, but I always have a good connection, and I go there nearly every morning and get some work done, as well as play.
You could try changing channels, 2.4 to 5 Gigs, changing locations of the router. I have had to do all of these at one time or another over the many years that I have been a Network Engineer.

The Raw from every model of camera is different. Note: that's every model not every brand. So, the NEF produced by a Nikon D40 is not the same as the NEF produced by a D60, the CR2 produced by a Canon 350 is not the same as the CR2 produced by a Canon 400.
Therefore the Raw for every camera model needs to be added individually. If yours is not supported then let them know you want it:
iPhoto menu -> Provide iPhoto Feedback
When support is added I also expect that you'll need iPhoto 09 or 11.

However I only have one account. I've tried to sign out and in several times. But it doesn't work. I do remember changing my password recently. Secondly I'd like to add that I got this macbook air 3 days ago. I'm a first time mac user. It had three updates initially. Mountain lion 10.8.2, iphoto and the imovie. I updated the mountain lion, thinking I'd get the iphoto and imovie done later. However now this problem has come up. Thanks for responding. Hoping to hear from you soon again regarding this.

You use Image Capture (in your Applications Folder) for that job - or upgrade to a later iPhoto.

How to keep Spotify from loading automatically on start up even after you changed your settings.

I'm running Windows 7 OS and had the same issue. I solved my problem by going to the Spotify icon (Shortcut) and right click and go to the bottom were is says properties.Click on properties then click on "open file location". Find a folder that says Users.Click and open Users folder. You sould see a folder that is your username. (xxxx-user). Click and open that folder. Find the file that says "pref". Click to open and you should get a pop-up that says, "choose the program you want to use to open this file". Make sure the check box on the lower left says, "always use the selected program to open this kind of file" is unchecked (It already may be greyed out).Click on WordPad and you should see: ps.publish-playlist=0 and ps.publish-activity=0. Make both a number 3 and click save. Hopefully this will help.

You don't leave the app Open when you Shut down and have this box ticked ?
AND you have other accounts Enabled so that you see the lower half of this pane ?
If you only have the iMessages Account Enabled and not the Bonjour one you will not see this and not be able to set the "When I Quit...." setting.
Whilst for AIM and Jabber and Yahoo Accounts this stop notifications as well it does not for iMessages.
However I do find even though I get Dock Badge notifications It does not Start the app up.

Select the iPod shuffle in the iTunes sidebar (under DEVICES). If this is a current 4th (or 3rd) gen iPod shuffle, you should be able to see the contents of the shuffle by type, intented under the shuffle's name (still in the sidebar). Select Music or Audiobooks (not sure where those items from the library will be listed). The items will be listed to the right, for each category. Find the items, select, and delete.

NOTE: If this is an 1st or 2nd gen iPod shuffle, select the iPod shuffle in the iTunes sidebar (under DEVICES). Over to the right, go to the Contents tab, where the items are listed. Select and delete them from this list.
I find it more convenient to make a playlist in iTunes with things I want to put on the shuffle. I then set up automatic syncing (or use autofill) to have iTunes load the shuffle from that playlist, automatically.

You can export while writing the metadata to the file in most cases.

HD? Another HD? You use HD there in a way that makes no sense. What's the point of 'DVD size'?

You're somewhat confused and you need to
1. Decide what exactly you want to do
2. Then go about it.
If I understand you correctly - and there's no guarantee that I do - the easiest thing is to bring all your Photos into iPhoto and do everything from there.
You can have an archive on an external disk, you can sort and select and edit with or via iPhoto

I´ve moved the iphoto library to an external hard drive. Now I want to create space on my macbook by deleting the iphoto-files from the internal iphoto.. How do I do this?

If I erase the files/library (I don´t now witch of them?) from the internal hard drive, will they still be there on the external one?

First, set up finder to show your external drive on the desktop. To do this, click finder in your dock, then click the word finder beside the apple. Select preferences. When the preferences window opens, select the "general" tab, and under "show these items on the desktop" ensure you check off "external disks"
Connect an external drive. You should see an icon appear on the desktop.
In order to move an iPhoto Library to this external drive, the drive must be formatted for a mac. To check the format of the drive, open up disk utility (applications / utilities). In the disk utility window, you will see the external drive on the left. Select it. Then go to the "erase" tab. This tab will show the current format of this drive. It must be "Mac OS Extended Journaled", or the iPhoto Library will not allow you to move it to that drive.
As long as it is formatted correctly, simply click finder in the dock and go into your pictures folder. Here you should see your iPhoto Library. Simply drag the Library to the external drives icon on the desktop. This will start to copy. It may take some time to copy the library to the drive.
Once the copy is finished, you can then drag the iPhoto Library in the pictures folder, to the trash.

As a test launch iPhoto with the Option key held down and create a new, test library. Tru importing from your camera to it and to see if the same problem persists. Does it?

Your photos are gone. When you synch your phone with iPhoto, the actual picture file does not synch, rather is is a very small thumbnail file suitable for viewing on the phone, but of such small resolution that it's useless for anything other than viewing on the phone. In any case, Apple makes no way for you to retrieve these thumbnail file.
If you deleted photos from iPhoto, your only hope is if you have Time Machine or another backup that might have had those photos. Are they perhaps still in the "Trash" within the iPhoto app?
