How do you make a call from your computer

I have an iPhone 6 running 8.02 and Yosemite 10.10.
I my computer which is an iMac (late 2012) won't allow me to receive or make calls. I tried pairing my phone via bluetooth but that Doesn't work - tells me to check the network (i am on the correct network). Is the iMac too old to allow this to happen?

Create the slideshow either in iPHoto or in iDVD itself. Pick one of the old themes like World, Travel, Windowbox, Scrapbook or Pinboard that have no dropzone and drag a blank, black image file menu's window. That will give you a black menu. Change the text color to whatever you'd like for the play button for the slideshow. If you want the slideshow to start immediately when you put the disk in the DVD player click on the Map button in the bottom toolbar, last one on the left in the middle. In the next window drag the slideshow icon into the box at the far left. Then use the File->Save as Disk Image and complete the project. You can then open the disk image and play it with DVD Player to preview before committing to disk. If it's what you want, burn it with Disk Utility as the slowest speed possible for maximum compatibility with the many DVD players on the market.

TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. Ive read threads of how to do this and so far none have helped...Im trying to add specific songs that are on my computer to my ipod touch (4th gen). I do not want the songs on my ipod transfered to my computer.
When I go to the ipod device in the menu collum of itunes on my computer, & then pick the "music" tab in the menu bar I get very limited options that I can choose.

2. below this selection are 4 options inside a gray box. These selections are not available for reasons unknown to me. They read

   b. Selected playlist, artist, albums, and genres
   c. include music videos
   d. include voice memos
selections a, c, & d have tick marks by them
As far as I have found up to this point this is somwhere close to the vicinity that I want to be in order to get done what I want to get done. I don't know... perhaps I'm coming at this from the wrong angle. Maybe I should use the ipod , and come at itunes from its interface?...

I have not sync with another computer. Brand new Ipod touch from christmas. same computer. I have however conected it to this computer before & because I was ingnorant it synced automatically with this same computer. I was ****** because it messed everything up. So I erased my ipod completlely and started over. I also un-installed itunes and started over with its as well. I then put only music that I wanted on my ipod onto my computer in itunes.
Now I cant figure out how to get that specific music on my ipod... this is all very maddening!!.. I feel like throughing both computer and ipod out my 2 story bedroom window

Wifi sync is enabled and althought it is backing up to her computer it keeps reappearing on my computer and backs up there as well. I do I stop this from happening?

Try this:
in itunes on your computer, go to itunes/preferences/devices. Try deleting ipad from list and check 'prevent ipads, ipods, and iphones from syncing automatically.'

How do you remove error 0X00000709 from your computer? I just removed one printer and added another!

     I have a HP Pavilion Elite HPE computer and had an HP 6500 printer as my default. I purchased a LaserJet Pro CM1415 and loaded it into my computer and removed (I thought) was the software for the HP 6500.
     However when I try to make the CM1415 my default it gives me an error 0X00000709 and tells me I can not do it. I no longer have any other printer listed, however I noticed some programs (Adobe for instance) don't even recognize the new printer, just the 6500 which got removed. I have already removed the drivers (software) for the new printer and reloaded it. Also I checked the registry and the 6500 is listed there. I did nothing with the registry at this time.
     I would like to know how I can remove this error and make my new printer the default (only one listed) one? Thanks in advance for any and all answers

I would suggest that post-routing should not be used. The way to go is to use translation routing applications. Although post-routing is easy to set up, almost all deployments require translation routing. I can't think of anything good to say about post routing, other than it's trivial to configure.
You want the main route point to be on the CM_PIM.RC for a number of reasons. You can check to see which of your IVRs are on line, and/or to do load balancing. If calls don't need to go to the IVR if agents are ready, you can have an LAA Select node immediately, and then translation route. Even if you just have one IVR, translation routing will enable you to do RONA more easily.
You need to bite the bullet and learn translation routing. If you do it that way, peripheral variables attached to the call remain unaffected whether the call is under the control of the CM_PIM.RC or the IVR_PIM.RC. This is exactly what you want.
There is no need, in my opinion, to go to an external database. In your IVR, decisions made by the caller (e.g. which "skill" they want) set peripheral variables. When the call comes out of this script you check the peripheral variable, and depending on the value do a queue to the appropriate skill group and run external script (BasicQ.aef).
Separate the intelligence gathering IVR script from the Queuing script. Allow ICM to make the routing decisions.

Is it possible to transfer a voice memo to my computer and then convert that to text that can be printed?
Here is my problem. I study harbor seals and have always taken hand written notes that then must be typed into the computer when I get home from an observation. Is there any way I can dictate what I see to a voice memo and then have that translated to text. If there is which would do it best an iphone or ipad (I have neither, just a tracphone for an emergency).
Perhaps this is asking too much from the technology available but it would be a great help if I could do this.

Hi all, I don't know if I'm posting in the right place or not, If I'm not then I'm sorry. How do you Deauthorize a Machine from your account, anybody know? what it is. When I set the account up to buy tracks from Itunes. I was using the same Laptop that I'm using now, Just a differnt hard drive as The old hard drive died on me. I never bought any tracks from Itunes so I didn't have any to lose. I couldn't deauthorize this laptop because I didn't know that the laptop was going to die on me. In went the new hard drive. re-installed windows xp pro & re-installed itunes 8.1 clicked on authorize this machine & it came up with 3 machines out of 5. it's the same Laptop on the account. how to I remove this laptop twice from the account is it possible cheers?, If i do remove 1 of the machines, will I lose the rights to play back the tracks that I've bought today?

You can't deauthorise 'dead' installations or computers you no longer have access to individually. Don't under any circumstances.
All images is not a file. It's not a place. It's a list. Specifically, it's the result of an instruction: List all the images on my machine.
When you delete something from All Images, then you have no idea what you're removing from where - files that are part of word processing docs, interface elements, corrupting your iPhoto Library. There are many perfectly legitimate reasons why you might have what appears to be duplicates but are not.
Rule number One: Never delete anything on your machine whose job you don't understand.
