I can not figure out how to turn a picture into black and white and still have the main subject in the picture in color, can anyone help me?

It if you have an older version of Elements, you can use a Hue/Saturation adjustment layer to do this task. Reduce Saturation to 0% in the Hue/Saturation dialog, then paint using black paint on the mask to bring back desired color area(s).

I know this question is old but I just found out the real answer. After you turn on the little switch on the left side of the HIPPIH AppsKey Keyboard and the blue light blinks, I want you to look just above it. Do you see that hole right above the word PAIRING? Go grab a paper clip and press down in to the hole for about 2 seconds. This sends a signal to the ipad and in the BLUETOOTH menu you should see "Keyboard" under DEVICES. Click on it and dialogue box will pop up asking you to put in a passcode for the keyboard.
It took me way too long to figure this out.

In the commercials for the iphone, when someone calls, the phone defaults to the wallpaper (in the commercials its most often the photo of earth) and the photo of the person is a small square in the upper right corner. When people call me, the photo I've chosen for them takes up the whole screen.

Not silly at all, many have asked.
In general, the answer is....
When you sync contacts from your comptuter, if you are using a Mac or Outlook 2003 (I think) or higher, then in your computer's address book, you can assign an image. Your computer makes (saves) a thumbnail of that contact with your contact data. When you sync, that thumbnail comes over to the phone.
When you assign a picture via the iPhone to a contact, it stores a full screen version of it instead of a thumbnail.
So when a person calls, if the image was from a sync with a picture that was assigned from the computer you will see what you saw in commercials. If the image was assigned from the iPhone directly, then you get the full screen view when they call.

I don't think you can in the native iPad Photos app. It's just where all photos save in camera roll. If I sync folders with pic from my MacBook, it syncs as a separate album in Photos, but I can't move pics between them. I've actually just downloaded an app that allows for sorting photos by creating links to the photos to place them in the folders you create--it does not make duplicates of the photos to do this, so no worries of using up space.
Anyway, the app is Best Album +transfer. Right now on sale for 99€ which was why I decided to get it.

At the moment you need to do it on your computer prior to syncing, you can't do it directly on the iPad. If you sync multiple folders from your computer (which you need to do together in one go as only the most recent sycn remains on the iPad) then each folder will get it's own album on the iPad. I have a photo of a fire truck outside of the fire department. I want to remove the background and select only the truck itself. I then want to be able to have it transparent when I put the picture on a scrapbook page. I do not want a white box background. What steps are needed to accomplish this. Use one of the selection tools. lasso tool for example, to select the truck
Go to Edit>copy. This puts it on the computer's clipboard
Open the scapbook background
Go to Edit paste. The truck should be on a separate layer
Access the move tool, position the truck.
You can resize using the corner handles of the bounding box while holding down the shift key

What program are you using - Photoshop Elements or Premiere Elements, what version, and on what computer operating system is it running?

I am working on a site for people to download software upgrades. I am trying to make it so they have to add their name and email then click a submit button. Once they click submit the download links will be available on the webpage or open up in a new window. Does anyone know how this can be done?
