How do you mass delete camera roll photos?

I have an iPhone 4 and iPhoto '11.  iPhoto crashed and didn't delete all the photos after importing.  How do I delete them now??  Don't need them on my phone any more. And there are well over 100 to delete...
Yes, I know how to delete them individually....

I have 7.1 version.  I found out what to do.  Phone must be plugged into itunes.  Go into photo section.  Hit the SYNC BUTTON where it says sync photos.  A list of photo folders with dates will appear.  Put a check in the boxes of the photos you want deleted, THEN HIT THE SAME SYNC BUTTON and itunes will delete photos from phone.  THIS SOLVED MY ISSUES.  If anyone else has problems, leave a message and maybe I can explain it in more depth.  It sounds confusing, but it really isn't.  GOOD LUCK.

  • How do you recover missing Camera Roll photos?

Yesterday I noticed that many photos were missing from my Camera Roll. I tried to do a restore from my Computer, but that didn't seem to work. Now I have zero photos in my Camera Roll. Is there any way to get them back?

Tap Settings, and then tap iCloud.
    Tap Storage & Backup.
    Tap Manage Storage.
Tap your iOS device in the Backups area.
Under Backup Options, see if you turn the camera roll on. If not, then you doesn't have them backed up. And you can also see the file size of your documents here. Look around and find out whether your photos are saved in other part.

I'm not sure that my Camera Roll was backed up to the iCloud. Are there any other options? I have no idea why my photos went missing in the first place, so I don't know what went wrong or how to fix it.

  • Recover deleted Camera Roll photos?

I'm traveling on vacation, and during a sync, I inadvertently deleted about 20 photos. Of course they are photos I really want. I tried doing a restore from a backup, but that didn't work (I don't know if Camera Roll photos are even included in the backup/restore process for the iPhone). I've tried a couple of recovery programs - Klix and Stellar Phoenix Photo Recovery - for Mac, and for Windows running Parallels. In all cases, the programs don't even see the iPhone. Does anyone have any suggestions for how recovery may be possible? I know retrieval of deleted items on a computer is far from perfect, but I've used the iPhone very little since I screwed up, and there is 17 GB available memory on my 32 GB phone, so I'm hopeful.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Only one normal iPhone backup is kept by iTunes. It's actually an incremental backup in that only data that has changed is actually backed up. While camera roll photos are included in the iPhone backup, deleting such photos on your phone & then syncing effectively removes these photos from your iPhone backup. The first thing done when you sync is an iPhone backup. Photos in your iPhone camera roll should always be imported to your computer & never stored in your camera roll.

  • How do I download 3G "Camera Roll" photos off my phone?

I was wondering how to download 3G "Camera Roll" photos off of my phone 3G and onto my computer??

    Wah... don't be so sensitive.
I didn't have to use proprietary iTune software.
Something Apple failed miserably to allow in it's iPhone.
In your opinion but regardless, it is what it is. The requirements for the iPhone are not kept secret and if the requirements were not acceptable to you, you should not have purchased one.
When your iPhone includes photos that were captured by your iPhone, it is also detected as a digital camera when connected to your computer, which has nothing to do with iTunes.
    So the question still remains...
What do you do on an iPhone with "Windoze" to get you Camera Roll pix from you phone onto your computer, other than emailing each and every one separately via email.
    The answer remains the same.
If you choose not to use the camera and scanner wizard, your iPhone should be available in Explorer when connected as a connected drive where you can drag photos that were captured by your iPhone to the desired location on your hard drive.

You cannot delete all the emails in the Inbox in one operation. You can do this in the Trash.

  • Syncing photo's from iphoto adds another 'photo library' without deleting 'camera roll' photo

    Hi there,
I found that I can add photo's (without deleting my existing camera roll) to my Iphone 4 from my girlfriends mac to my iphone by syncing from iphoto and selecting the photo events or folder I want. Then pressing 'apply' adds a new photo library to my phone with these selected pics in them. In this cercumstance I can only delete these photos using the same process by de-selecting them in 'sync from iphoto' and again pressing 'apply' There is no function / icon in my actual iphone to delete this library or even individual photo.
However when I try this exact same process on my girlfriends Iphone 4 (same model) the 'apply' function threatens to delete all photos from her phone, leaving her with ONLY the ones selected / checked.
Just in case it is part of explaining this I have tried this logged in on my account and hers but both have the same results in every combination. There appear to be two different set of rules going on here within I-tunes I would prefer to be able to add photo's without deleting existing ones but I would also like to be able to selectively delete these photo's once on my phone without going back to connect to tha mac.
Can anyone explain if this is possible or am I asking for 'my cake AND eat it' ?
Why are ther differences in our phones governing rules in Itunes?

Thanks Winston, you are correct "sync". In fact I found the answer in a slightly different way. There is a check-box in the photo's tab that provides for syncing photo's before any media. Therefore this will in fact create the necessary space on the ATV for the photo's by moving other media content from syncing to streaming.
Of course the alternative, as you point out is to limit what actually gets synced in custom sync.
Thanks for taking the time to respond.
    Regards

  • Transferring deleted camera roll photos onto Macbook

My friend recently moved in and she wanted to recover some deleted photos from her camera roll on an iPhone 4. She doesn't have a computer here and recently switched to a different device. I also don't want to sync all of the photos from my Mac to her phone. Is there anything I can do?

    No.
They would have to be somewhere in order to recover them.
If she has not backed up to iCloud or a computer, and she has failed to import them to her computer as you should do regularly, then they are gone.
    Sorry

  • How do you mass-delete pictures on the iPhone?

I was trying to highlight the pictures in iPhoto and delete it but the right click menu is all greyed out.
I know there is the option to delete the pictures after you import it but i want to keep the movie files and delete just the pictures (I already imported but there was an error when I was clicked on 'delete imported pictures')

On your Mac, alt/command and select all the pictures to remove.
On the left pane, select one and drag it to the Trash can on there.
You may need to hold the command button while dragging to trash.
Some have been having the import video files to iPhoto and suggested going into the camera roll and be sure it's set to the photo slide versus camcorder.

  • How do I transfer non-Camera Roll photos from iPhone3G to PC?

Years ago I copied thousands of sentimental family photos from a dying laptop to my then state of the art iPhone 3.
They were in multiple seperate folders, and NOT saved to the Camera Roll.
How can I transfer them back to my latest laptop as they obviously don't show in the iPhone explore when connected to a laptop etc.
I am desperate to retrieve these photos in full resolution as they are so sentimental.
The only option I know that works is by emailing 5 at a time .. but as there are nearly 6000 photos ... ugh!  And obviously the basic iPhone3G doesn't have Cloud functionality.
There must be an easier way? Please help!
    Many thanks in advance.

Look man sorry for late reply but I was stuck with some net probs
By the way if u have 2 idevices then u can download the bluetooth-U app on both and it will automatically detect idevices via bluetooth and u can import the all 6000 photos and other many files from your albums or camera roll and tranfer them for free from one idevice to other
its free no wifi and net required and will work like a horse
try not for photos then for some other files
it reads all extentions from pdf to .doc anfld many mire
it can even play and view all files documents photos and pdfs and even music or videos
by the way if u add your pics to this software via iTunes app tab then they will be available in full resolution just in case u want to do it !!!!!
Happy to know ur prob solved but I m sorry for late reply if my router had worked correc then I would have urgently solved ur prob
but do download man its amazing soft
    and do reply
    Cheers TGT

  • How do you mass-delete iPhone notes?

    That's the question.

... and on a Mac, you can mass-delete from the 'Mail' app (easier if you're using a 'Notes' folder instead of 'Storing notes in inbox')

  • How do you mass delete?

I just backed up my iTunes files and now I have duplicate files of my songs. How do I hi-lite all the old files at one time and delete them instead of deleting one by one

Hold Shift while clicking the ones you want to delete. Then just delete.
    Good Luck,

  • Easiest way to delete Camera Roll photos which were imported by iPhoto through Photostream?

So I have a bunch of photos on my iOS device that were properly uploaded to my Photostream.  Then, iPhoto dutifully imported them on my MacBook Pro and place them in my iPhoto library.  So now I have a bunch of photos on my iOS device that iPhoto reads as "Already Imported".  If I try to import them, I get the usual warning about a Duplicate Photo.  I don't want to import duplicate photos and choosing not to import them leaves them on my iOS device.
So is there a more elegant way of getting them off my iOS device instead of manually deleting them?
This is an ok idea until I have over 100 photos and the deletion process becomes a tedious tapping afair.
    Thanks!

if i delete camera roll from iCloud to free some space, did i loose my photos?

    What exactly have you deleted.
If you have deleted the photos from your camera roll on your device, then you may well have lost them, assuming that they are not also in photo stream.
Please tell is exactly what you deleted and from where.
