How do you merge a backed up library with a different library on a different device but same account, not shared?

I have a backed up library from a now broken PC. I want to move it to the library on my husband's laptop. It's the same iTunes account but we've never been able to share libraries, we've tried many times. How can I get the backed up library into the one on his laptop? As my PC is now dead, I have no access to my iTunes content, just a back up. Hope someone can help?

Restore the backup of your library to any suitable location then shift-start iTunes to switch libraries. See iTunes: How to open an alternate iTunes Library file or create a new one for details.

This was EXACTLY what I needed about the purchases I made from my device. However, is there a way to re-download other ones you've made from a computer? Because I realized some of them were not just purchased from my device.

I know this question is old but I just found out the real answer. After you turn on the little switch on the left side of the HIPPIH AppsKey Keyboard and the blue light blinks, I want you to look just above it. Do you see that hole right above the word PAIRING? Go grab a paper clip and press down in to the hole for about 2 seconds. This sends a signal to the ipad and in the BLUETOOTH menu you should see "Keyboard" under DEVICES. Click on it and dialogue box will pop up asking you to put in a passcode for the keyboard.
It took me way too long to figure this out.

Sorry - didn't make myself clear. The glue tool would be no good here. I meant that I wanted, for example, to merge the MIDI contents of two regions that are perhaps on different tracks but play back at the same time, i.e. I want to add the 2nd region's MIDI to the 1st region's MIDI, but without having to go into the piano roll editor and cut and paste the data.

my friend that helped me with my computer today with her mac computer a while ago her computer crashed and she got a new mac and now for some reason on her computer she had to create a new user so meaning for certain stuff she had to switch back and forth between the 2 users and she wanted to Merge 2 users, on Mac but the First was from back up and the Second is the new user I had to set up and the new user is the most current one and the other thing is she does not want the stuff duplicated so how do you merge them

You can just drag any of your data from the Documents folder to the Shared folder. Then, when you log in as the other user it will be available and you can drag it into the new Documents folder. If you're looking for other preferences or Application Support it gets tricky to do by hand.
What I'd do is start over if it's new. Just boot into boot up holding command-r keys into your Recovery Volume.
Then choose Utilities > Disk Utility, erase the volume and reboot. This will be an Internet Recovery and will take a while. Then, the first time the user boots the machine, while still in Setup Assistant when prompted do the migration and all will be fine.

I just bought the Apple iPad Air yesterday and I wanted to download a certain app from the app store. When it first opened it had a page come up over the apps with free apps that you could download to the iPad. I clicked on the not now button, thinking it would reappear after closing and re-opening the app store, but it did not. How do you get this back so that I can have the opportunity of checking the apps out?

2. Numbers
3. Keynote
4. iPhoto
5. iMovie
6. GarageBand
If apps are still showing the price: sign out>reboot>and sign in again

As long as the app remains in the store then you can re-download it via the Purchased tab in the App Store app, or via the Purchased Link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes : re-downloading.

IF you set up find my ipod on the ipod itself BEFORE it was lost AND it is on AND it is connected to wi-fi, then you may be able to get an approximate street address using icloud.
Otherwise, there is no way to track it.
