How do you move dropbox mp3 files onto iphone 5?

I downloaded some mp3's from yousendit.com onto my iphone and now I can't find them. I thought they would have been stored in my music app, but they aren't there. I downloaded them again into dropbox but I can't figure out how to get them from dropbox into my music folder. Can anyone help out here?
Thank you!

what a bs ckuan, getting a virus from a mp3?? from a mp3 that is not from an unknown source and already on ur computer??
its not a "feature", its one of many failures of apple. they try to set new standards everywhere and force u to use their software (itunes) instead of an easy drag & drop.

  • How do I move a .mp3 file I created in my music software to iTunes?

My music software now has .mp3 creation capabilities, with ID tags.  I am trying to insert one file as a test (and the ID tags are filled in).  In my PC running Windows 7, I navigated to Music\iTunes\iTunes music\[new folder] and place the .mp3 file there.  But when I open iTunes, my file does not appear in the list.  I've clicked on all the subcategories to alpha them, but no luck.  How do I install this?  I need to know because I am going to offer .mp3 files with a book I've written, which is being published now.
    Thank you!

You need to open iTunes first then drag and drop the mp3 file onto the Music section of iTunes to get the file imported.

  • How do you move all iTunes files to an External Harddisk?

I have been reading, and trying to understand, all post in this forum on how to move all space consuming iTunes files to an external Harddisk. And quite frankly, I am a bit confused. Well that and most posts are from 2008 and earlier.
    Here is my task:
Currently I have my iTunes on my PC Labtop. All music files, movie files and everything i located on this labtop, and now i am running out of storage space!
I then proceeded to buy a WD External network 3TB harddisk on which I would like to move all my iTunes files. For one because i am running out of storage, but also to have it available to other PCs on my network.
I followed the instructions but it did not work. All my music dissapeared from iTunes. I moved, consolidated, redirected as per instructions in Apple document, but still?
I have latest version of iTunes and a very large amount of music and movies.
Can anyone give me an understandable, straight forward instruction and explanation on how to do this and make it work?
    Please, and thanks.

Is your library working now? If not can you recall exactly what steps you have taken? You may need to unwind a few of them.
The easy way to move your library from its normal location of <User's Profile>\<User's Music>\iTunes is to simply copy the entire iTunes folder, and all its subfolders, to a new path, e.g. X:\iTunes, where X is the drive letter of the external drive. Having copied the data across you can then hold down the shift key as you click the icon to start iTunes and keep it held until you are asked to create or choose a library. Click choose and navigae to X:\iTunes, then open the file iTunes Library.itl inside it. Job done.
There is a minor "gotcha" if your library is based on the old pre-iTunes 9 layout that will break links to iPod Games/Mobile Applications but this can be avoided if you use the option File > Library > Organize Library... > Reorganize files in the folder "iTunes Media" before copying the library. Your library should also be consolidated before the move, that is all your media files should be inside the iTunes Media  (or iTunes Music) folder which in turn should be inside iTunes.

  • How do you convert an MP3 file to play in iTunes.

I followed the directions in the Technical Support Section and when I highlight the file and click on it, the advanced tab doesn't allow you to highlight the "convert" option since it only appears in light grey. Any suggestions?

Ok. Are you sure that they are .mp3 files? In iTunes, highlight one of the offending files and Get Info. What does it say on the Summary tab next to format? Does it say MPEG-1, Layer 3? If yes, it's an .mp3 file. If not, what does it say. If it really is an mp3 file, opening it with Quicktime. What happens? If it's an mp3 file, it may have corrupted tag information. iTunes is rather sensitive to that. You can try going to the Advanced menu in iTunes and selecting Convert ID3 tags.... I'd choose version 2.4 and see if that helps.
    Best of luck.

  • How do you move Premiere Elements files (scratch disk) when upgrading OS

    Hi,
I have just upgraded from Windows Vista 32bit to Windows 7 64bit.
I had to uninstall Premiere Elements 7 to deactivate, so I could reinstall, however now when  I open all my projects it says media offline, please locate. I thought all my scratch disk were set up to 'same as project' but can not seem to locate the files in the same folder.
I have hours worth of footage captured through Premiere, any ideas where I will find this captured footage, or the file type at least so I can search my computer? I have all my old folders etc saved in windows.old folder that is created when you upgrade OS, so it must be in there somplace???
    Please help!!!

I use a pretty simple setup for my Projects, also grouped by client. The exact layout will depend on whether I will be doing all of the editing on one machine, or will be migrating from computer to computer, via a FW-800 external. After that decision is made, my scheme looks like this:
    Root folder = Client Name
         Sub-folder = Project Name
    beneath these, I have:
              Videos
              Stills
              Music
              Audio
              SFX
              Capture Files
              Finished AVI's
              Finished AC3's
              and all Scratch Disks
For ultimate performance, one could separate out the Scratch Disks, and maybe even all Video and then all Audio, to separate HDD's, but this method keeps things neatly together, so that the entire Project can be deleted, when done - just delete the Project folder, and all of the sub-folders will go with it.
If I will be migrating, this layout will be on the external, which has had its drive letter assigned in the OS of each computer, so that it appears the same in each. If no migration, then these will be placed on an internal, probably E:\ on any of the computers.
Good luck, and glad that you found your "missing" files,
    Hunt

  • How do you move iMovie 09 files over to another Mac?

I am trying to move my entire collection of imported movies and 2 projects to my larger computer. I have saved all the files in my iMovie folder on my MacBook Pro onto an external hard drive. When I try to import them onto my MacPro I get an error message that says there is nothing to import even though there are over 122GB of iMovie files on the drive. When I try to import just the projects they are unable to be selected. I am running the same version of iMovie on both computers.
    Thanks

If you find that the HomePage sites don't work correctly in the new location put them back and then just link to them from an iWeb site. They can be anywhere.

  • How do you move POP3 email from the iPhone back to the server or computer?

Is there any way to get email that was downloaded to the iPhone using POP3 back on the server or computer? (other than resending all the mail)

    You're welcome.
Although it is possible to access a POP account with more than one email client, a POP account is really designed to be accessed with a single email client only.
I access a MobileMe account and a business POP account with the iPhone's mail client. Since an IMAP account is designed to be accessed with more than one email client keeping all server stored mailboxes synchronized with the server automatically with each email client used to access the account, accessing an IMAP account with the iPhone's mail client is much more preferable to me. All sent messages are available with each email email client used to access the account. Read a received message with the iPhone's mail client and the message will be marked as read automatically when checking the account with the email client on my computer and vice-versa. I create additional server stored mailboxes to store received and sent messages by category and I can transfer messages from the account's Inbox or Sent mailbox to the designated server stored mailbox with the iPhone's mail client, with all server stored mailboxes kept synchronized with the server automatically with each email client used to access the account.
If messages were removed from the server with the email client used on your computer to access the account - transferred to a mailbox stored locally on your hard drive, you can transfer the messages back to the designated server stored mailbox.
Need to delete and recreate the account with your iPhone's mail client, or need to restore your iPhone with iTunes, all messages that don't remain on the server will be lost with a POP account including all messages sent with the account from the iPhone - which can be stored locally on the iPhone only unless you always Bcc yourself with every sent message.
Delete and recreate an IMAP account with the iPhone's mail client and all server stored mailboxes and the messages within will be available again automatically.
IMAP account access is the way to go with the iPhone IMO.

  • How do I move a music file in iTunes on my PC onto my iPad to add to an iMovie project?

How do I move a music file in iTunes on my PC onto my iPad to add to an iMovie project?

    CBellC-
I do not have iMovie, so I can't try this!
Run iTunes with your iPad connected to the computer, either by the USB cable or by WiFi.  Select the iPad under DEVICES in iTunes.  Click on Apps at the top of the window and scroll down to File Sharing.  If iMovie appears there, select it.  The Documents window to the right is where you transfer files to (Add) and from (Save To) the iPad.

  • How do you move the pages arround of a newly created combined file ?

How do you move the pages around of a newly created File ?

    Hi coypaschal,
To rearrange pages in a PDF file, you need Acrobat Pro or Standard. With either of those applications, it's as simple as dragging page thumbnails into their new position. For more information, see Adobe Acrobat X Pro * Rearranging pages in a PDF
Please let us know if you have additional questions.

  • How do you import a video file that has extension gp into i movie.  also rotating video

How do you import a video file that has the extension gp into ivmovie?  Also how do you rotate a video . (the video was taken from a phone.)

Hi, your video file needs to be converted to eg. a .mov or .mp4 file before iMovie will recognise. I use 4Media MP4 converter and it works excellent.
For the rotating I do not have an answer, but if you would manege you would end up with a very narrow image either way.
    Good luck

  • How can I edit a mp3 file and drop it in an iMovie project?

I wish to edit an mp3 music file so that I can drop a piece of it into an iMovie project. iMovie's audio tools are very rudimentary---one can reposition a music file, shorten it, etc but cannot pick a piece of it to complement a movie segment.
So I dropped the mp3 file into GarageBand. I deleted the first section of the song, then selected the 16 second piece I wanted to include in my iMovie, using the copy command. Then I pasted the piece into a new GarageBand project screen. The piece wouldn't play, and when I selected "export" the piece neatly went to where I wanted it, but again with no sound.
So simply: how do I edit an mp3 file (cutting a piece of it) and then save it so I can apply it to an iMovie? Help!
    John

it should have played, but you can do it easier by exporting just the section you want:

  • How do i move a data file from my pc to my ipad

How do I move a data file from my computer to my ipad? It is my product catalogue and it would help if it were on my ipad.

Plug the iPad into iTunes and you can use file sharing to move it into an app that supports file sharing and that document format.
    see http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4094
Or, use an online storage service (iCloud, dropbox, box, google drive, sugarsync, etc) and upload the file to that.  Then on the iPad, from within the app you plan to use the file with, link to that service and download the file.
The app will again have to work with that file type, and support the particular service you used.
