How do you move music from the new iTunes to your iPod?

I've downloaded the latest version of iTunes, but can't figure out how to move music and playlists from the iTunes library onto my iPod. In earlier versions, you only had to drag a playlist onto the iPod. That doesn't seem to be an option now.

If you have iTunes 11 turn on the Sidebar. Go to iTunes>View and click on Show Sidebar. You can also do a Crtl+S to show the sidebar.
To sync to your iPod go to iTunes>Help>iTunes Help>Syncing your iPod....>Sync You Device and follow the instructions.

Your photos are either in iPhoto (Mac) or Photo Manager (Windows)
1. In the new Itunes you can go to View and select show sidebar.
2. When you plug in your device you should see your iPad.
3. Click on the iPad - you should see a screen like this
Select/deselect the photos you want synced to the iPad.

i recently upgraded my iphone4 to iphone5, i used iclloud to back up everything but my music, all my music is on itunes (the new itunes - i had to download the new itunes because of the phone) i have tired several times to sync my phone to import my music onto this new iphone but its not working.

iTunes will transfer the purchases made from the iTunes Store from your iPhone to your computer. It treats all other music syncing as a one-way street, to comply with copyright laws (wont sync stuff not purchased on iTunes from your iPhone to your computer).
But, you can import the other songs from a computer backup or rip them from a CD again. Then sync them to the new iPhone.

In addition, since that search window is part of the iTunes' Main Page, I have to wait for that page to load before I can do my search. Before, I could click on the Power Search link, and it would abandon the load and bring me to the Power Search page. Back up your computer first, in case the unexpected happens.
Quit iTunes.

Do a few preparatory steps by making sure all iTunes components are not running and cleaning old files.   See https://discussions.apple.com/message/20475394. Do steps 3 and 4. Replace the iTunes 11 application with iTunes 10.7. Simply dragging the application to the trash may not work. Lion (OSX 10.7) and newer systems have iTunes integrated into the operating system and deleting is a bit more involved. Two ways to do this are:
1. Use the shareware Pacifist utility (http://www.charlessoft.com/) to install iTunes 10.7 including all associated system files. Details at http://forums.macrumors.com/showpost.php?p=16400819&postcount=6
2. Check this reference on how to delete the iTunes application itself:

    After deleting the application there may be other files that need downgrading too. See the note about error -42408 at the end of this post. This may include these files in /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/ which apparently get updated by iTunes 11:

After doing one of the two procedures above you will have to rescue the most recent old iTunes library from your iTunes > Previous Libraries folder. A newer version of iTunes irreversibly updates your library file so you have to replace it with the old one or you will get an error message. Note, this will revert your library to the version at the time of the upgrade and you will have to update any changes made since. See:
