I have an iphone 4 and I sync it with my macbook. I Have heard that you can share apps with another computer os smartphone user. How do I use these apps on y macbook pro? I have authorized the computer... But how do you open the app? when I go to applications, I can only find the apps in itunes.. how do you open the app in itunes.... right clicking doesnt do anything..... it must be pretty simple... please tell me. thanks

Apple knows you installed them at one time (="purchased", whether you paid money or not), and merely keeps a list so that if you wish to reinstall any of them on this or a future device, you can. This is useful if maybe you deleted them due to space constraints, and now have a device with more memory and wish to reinstall.
It's also useful for taking a trip down Memory Lane looking at all the useless apps you installed once then immediately deleted once you realized they were total garbage ...

The App Store app can't be deleted but can be hidden by Restrictions. Settings>General>Restrictions
Have you tried using the Spotlight search. Maybe you just can find it.

As long as they're all logged into the Mac App store with the same Apple ID, you can re-download the installer to all the Macs.
Or you can save a copy of the installer file before you run it and use that to update the other Macs. The ML installer file will appear in your Applications folder when it's done downloading. Copy it to another location (don't move it).
If you don't copy it before you upgrade, it will disappear when ML is finished installing.

Thanks so much! That was exactly the answer I needed. When my I-Pad froze yesterday, I called an Apple Store near me and spoke with a tech. He walked me through the steps necessary to unfreeze it. When I asked what might cause this, he said having too many apps open can be the culprit. I thought merely shutting my I-Pad off, automatically closed the apps too. Not so. He then explained the steps necessary to accomplish this, but I forgot which buttons to push. He also suggested doing this at the end of every day as one way to avoid the "freeze". Since I didn't know this little trick, and have had my I-Pad for over a year, I had quite a few apps to close. So, thanks again and I'll write down the steps this time.

just a suggestion: try soundflower or Audio Hijack Pro. I know with the 2nd one, you can control the bass, treble, and all that, with anything that makes sound, from itunes, to Safari, DVD player, Skype ( I guess) and other stuff. Worth the $, IMO, so in answer to your question dbumgardner1, no, no you can't. I suppose in that sense, Windows has us at a loss. We also need 2nd party stuff to play BluRay's, too. However, I haven't seen any Macintosh viruses (virii?) for a long long time....

How do you set up to view the Notes on your iPhone or iPad through iCloud on your Mac laptop? I'm unable to figure it out. I am running the latest versions of OS and IOS. I would like my Notes to always sync through iCloud. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. - Terry

On your iPhone and iPad, go to Settings>iCloud, sign in with your Apple ID to create your iCloud account and turn Notes to On (you will also need to set up an iCloud email account in order to sync notes with iCloud, even if you don't use it). Confirm that in Settings>Notes that the Default Account is set to iCloud.
On you MBP, go to System Preferences>iCloud, sign into your iCloud account and check Notes. Open the Notes app and confirm that Notes>Default Account is set to iCloud.
After that new notes should sync between your devices using iCloud as long as you haven't selected a different account to create the note in. If you have existing notes on your iOS devices that were created prior to setting up iCloud notes syncing, you'll have to copy and paste the text into new notes created in the iCloud account in order to sync them with iCloud. Any notes on your Mac that are not in the iCloud account can simply be dragged and dropped to iCloud within the Notes app in order to add them to iCloud.

Also before opening the project on the new computer, you need to set up a new project and set all the preferences to be exactly the same as on the first computer. Then when you open the project, premiere will find all the files in all the right places. Even then you may need to re-link some files. Just follow the prompts when Premiere asks "Where is file...."
We use USB hard drives to store students projects on and they are used on many different computers without problems, as the preferences are all set to be the same.
