How do you paste after copying (Q10) ?

So, I'm still trying to find my way round the Q10. I know how to copy, but how do I paste what I have copied? For instance copying from an email and pasting in a text message. I have tried this and failed. Every time I copy and go to the next page to paste, I can’t seem to find the paste option.

OP: Usually when you attempt to open a PPC application in Snow Leopard and it indicates that you need to install Rosetta, it will then do a download and install over the internet. You also have the option to install manually from the Snow Leopard Install DVD.
Is your Mac connected to the Internet? Any firewalls, or other blocks? You are at 10.6.8, can you continue to run Software Update, and download updates, for example the latest version of JAVA to avoid the current malware problem?
Recently I have been experimenting with various Snow Leopard installs into Parallels 7 for use of Rosetta in Lion. One of the times, I purposely did not check the install Rosetta in the Options before install. When I attempted to run a PPC application, indeed, Rosetta downloaded from the Internet and installed and the app run fine.
If you have MobilMe, you can log in and Apple is giving away the Snow Leopard Install DVD for free. I received mine about 4 business days after I ordered it on MobileMe.

How do you Save a copy of your Zen player's content before formatting? I have no clue how? I don't want to go through the trouble of re-downloading everything back to my player? Someone Please Help me!!!

If you reformat the player you'll be erasing all the flash memory. There is no way to avoid re-downloading your content since it isn't going to reappear by magic.
Normally the PC you use as your primary media library has a copy of all your ripped/downloaded stuff already. I don't see why you're opposed to syncing it back to the player after you reformatting. ?Regardless, if the player isn't frozen or otherwise misbehaving you should be able to drag-and-drop copy to contents to a handy PC with enough space. If you have DRM-controlled content at minimum you'll have to re-sync the associated licenses to make them play again once you copy them back since you can't retrieve the DRM keys off the player. It probably won't prevent you from copying the encrypted files themselves although it may; DRM systems almost uni'versally support a "No Copy" flag for content on the player to prevent copying it back the rights holder chooses to flag the content that way.
If you're just updating the firmware of the player the contents are unlikely to be damaged in the process (but it is always good to have a backup just in case).
If your player isn't misbehaving one is left wondering why are you want to reformat it's Doing a "clean up" will often fix most issues of corrupted files and mangled metadata.

Not sure this would address your issue, but the Crop Tool works that way: set the width and height, plus resolution, and Crop does everything. You could then paste the result into another file if that completes your process.

If you forgot its password the iPod has to be restored. Make sure you are following the instructions in this procedure to the letter. Here they are, with emphasis on some easily overlooked requirements:
Disconnect the USB cable from the Pod touch, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.If you cannot turn off the device using the slider, press and hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time. When the device turns off, release only the Sleep/Wake button.
Continue pressing and holding the Home button while you reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.Note: If you see the "low battery" screen, let the device charge for at least ten minutes to ensure that the battery has some charge, and then start with step 2 again.

SPD 2013 - Copy Document action - how do you update the copied list item's metadata?

SharePoint 2013 Designer no longer has the Copy List Item Action, it only has a Copy Document action. It seems that this action provides no way of saving the copied documents list item ID. How do you update the list item after it has been copied??

According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to copy the list item in SharePoint 2013.
The Copy List Item is
available only on the SharePoint 2010 Workflow platform, you can create a SharePoint 2010 workflow using the SharePoint 2010 workflow platform to achieve it.
You can also use the Content and Structure to copy the list items: Site Settings->Site Administration->Content and Structure.

How do you "Paste In Place" in javascript?

I'm seeing a problem when running copy merged and then paste from script. If there is no alpha component in the mask, it looks like photoshop internally crops the layer to useful content. Then when you paste, it pastes only the useful content meaning meanin it's translated so pixels at the top and left have content. This is really stupid default behavior. However, the UI has a way to work around this, you run Edit | Paste In Place and it keeps the translation component it figured out when running copy merged. Great.
Unfortunately since I'm working from script I don't see a way of running Paste In Place as it is not in the commands exposed on Document. I tried looking at the javascript recording and there appears to be nothing output for that specific command. Argh! Does anyone know if photoshop has a way to script this?
Otherwise, I'm gonna have to look at a completely different way of recording out this stuff.

Before copying the merged layer to the clipboard try getting the layers bounds to get size and location.

How do you append, or copy and paste, pages

Hi, if I'm in a file and want to extract a few pages but not the whole file to another file, is there a quick way to do it? I know you can extract the pages to a separate file, save the file and then insert into or combine with another file but this can be time consuming.
So is there an easy way to do it?

Thanks again. Yes, you are right though between files it only copies and doesn't move. I'm surprised that there isn't a copy and paste function that works in this way or an append like there is with emails, as dragging and dropping can sometimes be cumbersome.
But anyway it works so I'll have to live with the way it is.

How do you use the "copy style" clipboard and "paste style" glue bottle?

I just know that it will seem obvious when somebody tells me, but I'm having no luck finding out how to use these tools. I keep thinking/hoping that they will work like a formatting paintbrush (in microsoft word or google docs) but that's not the case. I get that you can redefine styles thorugh the paragraph, character and list styles pull out list or menu. But a formatting brush type tool would allow more flexibility. thanks

Do you mean like this? First, copy the URL. Next, open up TextEdit. Here, you can paste the URL. Next, highlight the URL, right click it and select "Make Link". After that, press the arrow key or click in a blank spot on TextEdit. Select the link, and type in the new name of the link. You have now successfully created a hyperlink.

I am used to copying filenames into the save as window ... it is more accurate and mroe efficient than typing them. When I upgraded to CS1 and CS3, I can not do this, either on Snow Leopard or on Win7. How do I regain the ability to do this?

Copy and paste works just fine in the save dialog.
And the save dialog is provided by the OS, so if you have any third party utilities that modify the behavior of the save dialog - those could cause problems.
Also, CS1 and CS3 are both quite a few years out of date.
Are you sure you have the right version numbers?
