How do you photomerge with PSE 12?

PSE 10 has interactive layout PSE 12 does not. How do I merge 1 or more pictures or a 2 page magazine ad? No problem doing this with 10. Thanks in advance,

After looking at your reply I too am sorry I bought PSE 12. I am not computer savy enough to complete the tasks you have outlined. And even if I was, I would still want to know why PSE 12 does not have interactive layout. As far as I am concerned it was an integral part of PSE 10 which I can no longer use because I have windows 8. At least this is what I was told by the tech people where I bought the computer. I do not have any other versions of photoshop and the only reason I paid $99 for this one was the issue with PSE 10 and windows 8.
Ok. enough of that. At least I can still scan and work with pictures, but having to put the images on a flash drive and transfer them to the computer with PSE 10 so I can photomerge them is a pain if not time consuming. Thanks for your reply.

Hyperlinks in cells, how do you deal with it?

I've got the hyperlinks palette open (Windows menu / Interactive / Hyperlinks)
Selecting a cell (or a table), that I would like to be clickable in a PDF, disables the hyperlinks address text field:
Obviously hyperlinks from cells are not supported.
How do you deal with it? Do you put empty textboxed on top of each cell that should be clickable?

@Andreas – to choose buttons over text based hyperlinks would mean you can define the area that is responsive like you want (the size is the size of the button) and you could design different button states in different ways (color, images, what not…).
For the scripter in you: Hyperlink objects have no geometric bounds, Button objects have…
Just an idea:
Imagine a script that is scanning all cells of a selected table and if there are hyperlinks detected uses position, width and height of that cell to generate a button just on top of the cell (it could be well on a different layer above) using the information the hyperlink provides. Every time the table is changed by the user and the script is fired again, the old buttons are removed and new buttons will be built…
If there are more hyperlinks than one in a specific cell, the buttons will be built around the area the hyperlinked text will occupy…

How do you work with iTunes 10.6 and 10.7?

My G5 will not run 10.7 so if I update the powerbook running Lion then will the library on the G5 be able to sync to the iPhone? or will the libraries be incompatible?
beyond that are there any unforseen castrophies which I have not thought of yet?
The photo library had to be moved to the laptop as iPhoto needed to be upgraded so when I sync my iPhone I attach it to the laptop and open the itunes library over the network in the G5 machine. Then I have to quit iTunes on the laptop and reopen it on the G5. There is a rebuilding of a file which takes some time afterwards and then iTunes works on the G5 and with my Apple TV.
Now with iOS6 out I have to upgrade my version of iTunes. My fear is that this will disable the compatibility of the library which couldn't fit on the laptop any way.
If I made a new library on the laptop that referenced the files on the G5 would that even work? There would be two libraries to keep in sync which would be a pain, and furthermore, would it matter if I was networked to the G5 over wired ethernet, 802.11n, vs firewire? I mean, would I have to always have the same scheme for the network and have it function? Else, how can you have a laptop function on the desk, couch, bedroom, kitchen counter... and have access to all the files that are on the G5 which is essentially functioning as a space heater, sound jukebox with its fiberoptic audio, internet station, and with the ability to store 6 TB of data internally, it serves the media library very well. The powerbook cannot do this at all.
Please share your thoughts and suggestions.

An older iTunes will not open the library once used by a newer version.
iTunes 10.6.3 will work with iOS6 as long as the hardware doesn't post-date the release of 10.7 Use iTunes 10.6.3 on both machines.

How do you cope with releases of your custom Portal Content (PCD Content)?

Dear SDN Community,
I'm very interested in how you cope with release management in the Portal (PCD).
Where I'm focusing on is the release of a "project" trough your landscape (Dev, Test, QA, Prod)
When starting a project you start with a new folder lets say "My Custom App" that contains all your content.
Once done you transport to Test, QA and eventually Prod. Now the Content is in use and roles are assigned.
Request for changes arive from the customer and eventually a new release need to be implemented.
Offcourse you could then change/update the content in the initial folder and transport that to Test, QA again but you will not be able to fix incidents while creating the new release because objects maybe touched.
I was thinking about a scenario where you create subfolders in your application folder, see example below:
\ "My Custom App"
|--- Release 1.0
|--- Release 1.1
|--- Release 2.0
|--- Current
You only do this on your Dev system. Everytime a Release is OK you put it in the "Current" folder and transport this to Prod.
Using this you won't have to change the Role assignments in your different landscapes as they are always pointing to the "Current" folder. In addition this scenario enables you to provide Pilot rollouts to smaller groups parallel to the Major release.
My question to you is to shoot on it and give your oppinion/feedback... where possible provide links to SAP document or best practices that describe this subject...

It is an interesting approach you describe and I see no reason it should not work.
The only thing which can create some problems is that the object ID of roles must be unique. For example com.mycom.roles.roleA cannot exist in two separate folders in the PCD. For all other PCD objects it is the PCD ID which must be unique and this includes the folder prefix.
In my experience, the most natural solution for this in large portal environments is to have both a version and a production line.
The production line will be your standard sandbox, development, test/QA, production and the version line will consist of an development and test/QA systems.
Long running projects for enhancements to existing functionality will be done in the version line, before being transported to the production line when ready for GoLive. This makes even more sense when you have version lines for backend systems your portal are using which are modified at the same time.
Whilst the project is running, the production line can be used for changes to the current version, but it is important to note that all these changes have to be migrated into the version line in order to make sure they are not overwritten.
Of course, a version line brings extra cost related to synchronization and similar, so it is not always it makes sense.

Thanks for you response - the honest answer is I don't know, not being particularly IT literate. I do know however that I'm running Maverick if that is of any help?
I also tried the Command R route, along with holding some other keys as per the Apple troubleshooting guide, but no luck. My wife pointed out though that the system was running slowly over the last few days and we had quite a lot of the 'spinning beach ball' before being able to undertake tasks.
Lastly, I inserted my start up disk bit as the system is unable to start I'm now unable to retrieve it. All-in-all a real pain.

How do you deal with separate shifts/phones/lines/etc?

I'm not entirely sure of the exact question i'm trying to ask, but essentially how do you handle phone/Agent logins where the agents are not at dedicated desks? Meaning, they may not sit at the same location every day, or there may be other shifts that sit at that location when they're gone.
What do you do with their personal extensions
What do you do with the IPCC Extension
Maybe i'm just trying to overthink this and it's simpler than i think.
What does everyone else do?

Yes, they would log into the phone and then the CAD software seperately.
A seperate specific extension for IPCC is optional; lots of my customers just have a single, personal extension that doubles as their IPCC extension without any problems.
The only mandatory bits are that each agent must have a unique, non shared extension that is set on their 'end user' page as their IPCC Extension.
So
- the physical phones would have non-user-specific 'logged out' numbers
- each user would have an EM profile that has a unique extension (and optional personal extension if you prefer)
- each user would have that unique/ipcc extension set as the IPCC extension on their user config
- they log on to the phone, and their extension(s) appear on the phone in place of the 'logged out' number
- they can then log into the Agent software

How do you backup with 2 users

Alright, I've been using Time Machine at work, it's been easy with 1 user.
Now at home I have my user account and my wife has her user account, both are admin.
How do I set it up for backing up.
How do you set it up so that it doesn't backup everything twice over like apps and documents we share?
Is there a way to Backup my account and then have only what is different on my wife's account be backed up?
Does Time Machine know how to do that on its own?
Any info or help would be great.

Yes, that's what it does. Time Machine is a system-wide app, not a user-level app.
It backs-up your entire system (OSX, apps, configuration, plus all users, preferences, and data) at once. You do not need to set it up (or run it) separately for each user.

Which version of PsE do you have?
What OS version are you running it on?
Did you buy PsE directly from Adobe (the Adobe Store), or from a certified reseller, such as directly from Amazon?
Did you buy the program with physical media, i.e. DVD's, or as a download?
If you did buy from a certified reseller, did you Register your software with Adobe?
Have you logged into Adobe.com with your Adobe ID and password, and looked under My Products to verify that you have the correct S/N?
As Trevor mentions, if you go to Customer Support, you can do Live Chat (click on "I still have a problem" to sort out many issues, such as S/N's, Activations, etc.

How do you print with StdOut.println once at a time with equal probability!

I tried finding this in the FAQ, but nothing really came close to my unique situation. I am trying to write a method before the main method to report to the user that their guess is too high, in a game where the computer picks a number from 0 to 1000.
I have four different statements to let the user know that the guess is too high, here is the code:

StdOut.println("WOOWWAAAWEEWAAHH.. too high!"); When I use this method in my main method by typing ProgramName.reportTooHigh(), it prints out all of the statements. Any suggestions on how to get them to print out one at a time with equal probability?

I explained what I was told and she seemed confused. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, she stated they were all in a meeting and one would return my call within 24 hours. IT HAS NOW BEEN 36 HOURS AND I CAN GUARANTEE I WILL NOT HEAR FROM VERIZONWIRELESS MANAGEMENT UNTIL I CALL THEM AGAIN.
This is truly wonderful customer service!!!! Does anyone know how to reach somebody at VerizonWireless, that can explain why I was told one thing and then received something else. My thought is if they treat a 10 year customer this way, how are they treating the new customers.
