How do you play games on the iTouch?

I downloaded 2 games for my iTouch but they don't show up after I synch it to my itunes. Are they under some other icons? There doesn't seem to be any evidence that I have any games loaded.

Near the bottom of your home page, right above the dock and below the lowest level of icons that are in the black, there will be some dots. There is one dot per page of icons. Swipe your finger like you're turning a page, and it will go to the second page of icons, if you have a second page.
If you hold your finger down on one of the icons until all of your icons wiggle, you can move any of the icons to the second page, or third page... I think you can have up to nine pages of icons. It's a pretty neat feature. You can organize all of your icons in groups or put ones you don't use on the last page.

There are two different stores. The Icon in the Dock on your Mac takes you to the Mac App Store.
No the iPhone games do not play on the Mac. Yes, you have to buy the same title again for the Mac if you want to play it on the Mac.

How do you play videos from the "Videos" app in the background IPod 4G

I used to have an app which allowed me to play videos from the "Videos" app on my ipod touch 4th gen. But the other day I had to wipe my ipod and can no longer get this app. Is there any other app which imports your videos from the "videos" app or is there a way to play videos in the background using the "videos" app.

You can only play videos in the Videos app when the Video app is on the screen. Video, and any audio with it, do not play when using another app.
You can try changing the Media Kind in Get Info>Option in iTunes on the computer to Music Video and see if that works

How do you update software on the itouch (8GB)

I'm trying to get the Kindle App and it says I need to download iphone software 3.0. Is that compatible with an itouch? Do we use the itouch use the same software as the iphone? How do I do it?

I'm stupid....how do you play game apps? what controls the action?

i'd like to get into some of the games offered in the app store but i'm ignorant when it comes to controling the action.

It depends completely on the game. Every game will have a different way of controlling it. Some use the mouse, some use keys on the keyboard, and some use both. You'll need to look at the game you're interested in and see what it uses.

This had me stumped for a while as well. Games you have or acquire will not show-up in Games Center until you run the individual games/apps directly, then they will appear in your Games Center games list display.

How do you save "game state" so the user can continue next time?

I'm not sure what the correct game terminology is for this, but how do you save "game state" so the user can continue next time?
This seems like a pretty important feature for building some games, we don't want users to have to start over everytime.
Any ideas if this is possible?

This will help you understand how to store the data. When the app starts up again get the state information from the persistencemanager and reset you game to the state you need. It requires a bit of code for the startup, but it is relatively simple.

Try tapping on the id in Settings > iTunes & App Stores on your devices (Settings > Store if they aren't on iOS 6+) and then log back in and see if that 'refreshes' the account on them.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
The games need to support AirPlay first.
Assuming both devices are on the same network and that AirPlay is not turned off on the Apple TV, then simply tap on the screen when you are watching content you wish to stream to your Apple TV, then tap the airplay icon that appears in the control bar, choose the Apple TV from the menu that appears.
When displaying the content you wish to mirror on the iPad 2 (or better), iPad Mini, iPhone 4S (or better), double tap the home button (quickly) and swipe the bottom row of apps to the right to reveal the playback controls, tap the AirPlay icon and select your Apple TV from the list of available devices.

Hey there,
- One of the ways to get movies onto your iPod is through purchasing them from the iTunes Store. The prices are $19.99 for new releases, $14.99 for recent releases, and $9.99 for old movies. For renting, I think it's $4.99 for recent releases and $1.99 to $2.99 for old releases. Another source for movies is DVD's. Some DVD's come with a "digital copy", which allows you to transfer that movie onto iTunes and keep to watch. As for illegally getting movies onto your iPod Touch, I do not think it is allowed to be discussed on these forums.
- As I said previously, you can also get a "digital copy" with some DVD's from the store, so iTunes isn't the only way, and other sites provide fully legal copies of movies for purchase as well.
- They occasionally have a few "behind-the-scenes" clips for movies and some scenes from movies but I haven't seen them put up a free movie. They do now provide a "$0.99 Movie of the Week" for rental each week though, so I suppose that could count for something.
- The movies section in iTunes is in the top left-hand corner menu in the iTunes Store, though I do not know if they have the movies option in all countries.
To go more in detail about rentals, you have 30 days to start watching it. Then, after you first hit the play button, you have 48 hours to finish watching it or if you want, watching it again. If you purchase it though, then you, of course, can keep it and watch the movie as many times as you want.

Up until Mavericks, the default setup for multiple displays was "Extended desktop". This picture show how it works far better than any words I could post here:
The blue boxes are Icons for your displays, whose sizes are proportional to the number of pixels. Drag the boxes so that they accurately represent the placement of the displays on your bench (left, right, up, down). Then the mouse moves freely across the boundary between displays, and you can drag a window with it. You can also stretch a window so that it covers most of both screens.
The small white header is an Icon for the MenuBar, which is also moveable.
for Mavericks and later, a different scheme "Displays have separate spaces" becomes the default, but can be annulled by this setting in Mission Control:
"Full Screen" is a concept ported from iOS, the land of tiny screens and one-at-a-time processing for the iPhone. If you have multiple screens, invoking "Full Screen" will make most of the screens stop working entirely, which your main window expands into the MenuBar area. Do not use "Full Screen" on a Mac with multiple screens.
