Cheers, I found that earlier, but I was wondering whether there was any thing that would work with a whole heirachy of objects and save there preferences and properties. Something a bit more advanced with a nice example :)

If there is no SIM card slot available with the iPhone, it is not an iPhone 4S. It is an iPhone 4 that is a CDMA phone and can't be activated with any other CDMA network and can't be used with a GSM network either because it is not a GSM phone which includes/requires a SIM card slot.

As far as I understand, a sprite is something you can move about without disturbing the background, because it is not paert of the frame buffer. But how do I write a code for it? Could someone please give me some hints?

to extend Malo's definition, a sprite is more commonly referred to as an "image that moves"-- not to be confused with animated images such as GIFs. the standard java library doesn't provide a Sprite object, but you can easily create one yourself...

If you have a Mighty Mouse, use the pop-up menus to choose the action you want for each of the buttons. The scroll ball can also function as a button. To set a button to open an application, choose Other and select an application in the dialog that appears. Choose Button 3 (for the scroll-ball button) or Button 4 (for the side buttons) to use your mouse with a video game, CAD program, or other application that works with a multibutton mouse. Choose Off if you want a button to be inactive.

You will have to be a lot more clear as to what EXACTLY is happening. As Chris already said, all you have to do is plug the iPod in and start using it. So if you are not getting stuff onto the iPod, then you are getting some sort of error?

I've seen lots of solutions using *5005*86 or whatever but this doesnt work for me. I have a UK registered phone provided but by my employer and uses Vodafone for voice and BTmobile for data. Is it this set up that is preventing me from programming the voicemail button?

Voicemail is a carrier feature, not a phone feature, so your first step is to call Vodafone. Here's Apple's support steps:

How are you supposed to get help from Apple if you don't know what your serial number is? They say to input the serial number of the "product" that you are asking about. Since my problem is how to deauthorize/authorize computers, and they are saying I have more than 5 (which I have never owned more than 5 computers in my life), I can't imagine what serial number they mean. Does it mean your desktop computer? If so, which one? Do they mean your device? LIke your iPhone, iPod or whatever? Do they mean the software ON one of your computers and/or devices? If so, which program, and on which computer/device?
We have three operational computers, one does not have iTunes on it. Since Apple is saying I have more than 5 authorized computers, and I can't imagine what they are, I am afraid to deauthorize all my computers. See what I mean? I just wanted to ask the question about how I can find out WHICH computers Apple thinks I have authorized, so I can decide if it's safe to deauthorize them all or not. I only know of 2 computers that have iTunes on them, so how can there be 5? We also have 2 iPhones and 2 iPods in this family, but one of the iPhones has his own apple id. He may have been using mine, since his computer died. I read that those don't count as "computers" to the 5. Do they, then?
Help! I can't contact apple because I have no idea what they mean about serial number. I doubt they would help me anyway. In order to get the serial number off my desktop computer (that has iTunes on it already), I will have to move furniture, so I don't want to if that's not it. You could have more 5 computers authorized if you ever, for example, reformatted a hard drive or replaced a hard drive without deauthorizing the computer first. Apple's system would see that as a different computer, even though you don't. There's nothing to be afraid of in deauthorizing everything and the reauthorizing what you actually have. You won't lose any data. Mistimp is correct, they can't tell you which computers are authorized.

I want to download programs to my user account on my laptop without the other peoples accounts having access to it. How do you specify only to download to this account, or change the settings of past installed programs to only be accessible to my account and not the others

As Csound1 has already pointed out create a folder in your Home folder for only those applications that you want exclusive access to like this one in my Home folder:
For those application that have an installer, you'll need to install and then move the app from the Applications folder to your own app folder.

What app do you want to uninstall? If it's an app that is provided by the installation of OS X, e.g. Safari, Reminders, Notes, Mail, etc. - there are many others - they shouldn't be uninstalled.
If it is an app that was downloaded from the Mac App Store, in Launchpad click and hold its icon until it jiggles. Click on the 'x' in the corner to delete it.
If it's an app that was installed using an installer program it is always best to see if an uninstaller is available from the developer of the app (there is often an uninstaller bundled in with the installer package).
Other third party apps that are simply drag-installed into the Applications folder - like Skype, for example - can be just dragged to the Trash and will be deleted when the Trash is emptied.

Trying to install iTunes 10.7, first attempt; downloaded and ran with everything closed, seccond atttempt; just click on run, third attempt; ran upgrade with iTunes open. All of the results were the same.
