How do you project onto both sides of a 3d model?

Hi,
If you have a 3d model and you create a new layer, paint a line on that layer then merge down to project that onto the 3d model. Is there a way to have that project through the 3d model so that the line apears on both sides? This is pretty much a standard feature in every 3d painting software I have ever used, so I am sure there is a way but so far I have been unable to find it.
Also is there a way to quickly toggle Paint falloff (on and off)?

Really disapointing that this feature is not avaliable, it really is a massive time saver and seems odd that it would not be included. I am not really sure who the 3d painting features are aimed at, at the moment, as it feels incredibily primitive,I mean in comparision to other 3d painting software it seems really bare bones.
I currently use photoshop every day at work (and have been for many many years 10+) but the lack of good 3d painting tools in photoshop is really beginning to make me question if photoshop has a future in videogames development, as I find myself using other programs more and more and photoshop less and less, which is a shame as I like photoshop, but there will come a point where having photoshop will just not be cost effective for the amount its used. New software like 3d coat, mairi, substance painter, etc. are really making photoshop seem very dated in the 3d field, I really wish they would spend more time in this area.

There is no Windows side on a Mac unless you install a version of Windows in a virtual machine or use Boot Camp to partition the drive and install Win 7 (if you are using a Macbook Pro that came with OS X Lion installed).
If you use a virtual machine you can install just about any version of Windows that you have a retail disc of and a legal license key to go with it.

How do I print to both sides of paper for greeting card on Brother Printer

I did not find the answer on the forum. I have iLife 09 and this Brother MFC-790CW printer. I do not see any automatic setting for printing on both sides. I am using a iPhoto greeting card template and it looks OK with a page one for the front and a page two for the back.
Maybe the only way is to print out all the fronts pages (20) and then put the paper back in and print all the pages 2 (the text inside of the card). That seems like it would be faster than other ways, except automatic.
Obviously I should have done this a month ago and sent the project to Apple, but now I have no more time. Ii have the right paper for the one fold cards and plenty of ink

You need to have an image editor that supports layers. If you do follow the directions in these tutorials:

this depends on the Printer hardware, printer driver
it is not possible to access such settings on Crystal reports

I installed adobe reader 10.1.2, and found when I printing ,the default setting always print on both side, how to disable that by registry file or other ways?
My printer has both side print function but we did not set up this as default.
why I hope disable this by registry file is I have over 500 users, I hope i can do it by .bat file.

In PAGE node u have Output Options Tab.
In Output Options U can find the field Print Mode
There u need to give the D.
Default: No change of print mode
S Begin new page in SIMPLEX mode (single-sided)
D Begin new page in DUPLEX mode (double-sided)
T Begin new page in TUMBLE DUPLEX mode (double-sided)
   DUPLEX:
     The current print mode is set to DUPLEX (double-sided print, long-edge
     binding) and a new page is started. A form page defined with DUPLEX is
     always printed on the front of the page, never on the back of the page.
     If the next form page contains the attribute value DEFAULT, it is output
     on the back of the page.

How can you restore from both an iCloud backup AND an iTunes backup?

In article HT5262 (linked below) iOS backups are covered. There is a section "When to use iCloud and iTunes Backup together". I understand how to do this and the reasons why. What I haven't been able to find is an explanation of how you would actually restore from both? I know how to restore from each, however, if I first restore from iCloud, how can I then proceed to restore from iTunes without overwriting my iCloud restore?

Demo, thanks for the reply. What you wrote is exactly what I thought. I'm trying to figure out why Apple is putting out this article (see partial contents below). The implication is that you can restore from both or why back up some data to one and different data to the other:
"When to use iCloud and iTunes Backup together
For an extra level of backup for your data, you can use iCloud Backup and iTunes Backup together."
Tip: If you are using iCloud and iTunes Backup together, and you simply want to speed up your iCloud Backup & Restore functions, you can save iCloud storage by turning off iCloud Backup for very large data types. For example, if you have a 15 GB Camera Roll on your iPhone, you may not wish to back it up to iCloud because it is already being manually backed up to iTunes. You can disable back up of any iCloud Backup item in Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup > Manage Storage > Backups > Backup Options. After doing so, these items will only be backed up when you manually back up to iTunes.

I created a school project on iMovie, when I was done I clicked file, but there was no Save as or Save button, so i closed the window to see if it would say Save Project. It didn't, and when I opened the window back up, all my progress was gone, but the raw video was still there, so how do I save it and put it on a cd/dvd to take and watch in class?

earlier i went to itunes and bought a new song. i go back to my account to sync it and it says that its syncing all of my other apps from our old computer and i leave it be.(p.s. it takes a long time for it to "sync". i come back 20 min. later and unlock my ipod and everything is gone except the 2 apps i have already downloaded on this computer. How do you log onto a was java instance

Dear Team,
I am reding the installation guide for WAS 6.40 JAVA on WIN oracle. I have installed the instance and the manual talks about logging onto the instance with a gui?
I have entered the instance name and number in the 6.40 gui, but it just hangs there. I have also tried to log in to the system with the URL localhost:50000 and localhost:50100 I only get the j2ee start page?
Any one have any ideas.

How do you create a non linear InDesign Interactive PDF modelled on having a 'home screen' from which you navigate?

I am trying to create an interactive presentation for a seminar the institute I work for hosted. I want to have a 'home screen' in which you can get a digest of what happened and then the viewer can subsequently view any of the 6 presentations that happened at the event (six icons will be on the 'homescreen' as well). After they are done viewing, lets say presentation 1, they press a home button and return to the original screen to view the rest if they so wish. Is this possible as an interactive PDF? If not any suggestions on how I go about creating it? Thank you!
