How do you property set Pages for APA?

I want to use Pages to write my next APA research paper, but when I compare a paper written in Pages to an exact document written in MS Word, with the same APA settings: 1.0" margins and .5" header/footer, they do not look the same. There seems to be more text-per-page in Pages than in MS Word… Anyone? It is imperative that I get these APA standards correct in Pages, or I will be seriously penalized. Thank you.

Thank you for that very thoughtful and intelligent reply. I like your reference to the "end of the pig." Very clever. Ultimately, you are correct, I do not wish to gamble on Pages, although it appears to be a very functional word processor. And for your benefit, I was not comparing .doc (made in Pages) to a .doc or .docx made in Word. I was comparing my document, while open in Pages, to the same document opened in Word. I noticed that Pages had more text per screen than the Word doc did. There could be many reasons, but I was curious to know why. In my opinion, based on what I've seen, Pages is very capable of creating APA papers in regards to margins, header/footer, citations, and double-line spacing, etc. As for charts, graphs, tables? I have no idea. When I print a document I created in Pages to that same paper I created in Word, they are very close. All the APA stuff is dead on. However, I find the lack of searchable topics on Pages and APA disturbing, and may discontinue using it. Damned Word! I hate it so.

Settings-icloud-scroll to the bottom, select delete, if you want to keep the content select keep, otherwise it'll remove it. Then once it is done add the account information for the account you want on that phone. Your apple ID in settings-store will remain the same and each device can still purchase/use content from that account.

I don't really understand your question. The Mail application cannot independently access a different wifi network from the one your computer is using.
Are you trying to troubleshoot your wifi (ie, you can't get into your own wireless network), or the Mail program (you can't get email)? Are there any error messages you see when you try to do one or the other?

How do you reorder the pages in a PDF ie back to front (not individually via Page view). The manual solution of course is to scan or import them in the correct order in the first place. However, this did not happen, and we have many PDF's which are 100% in the wrong order. So we would like to press a button and have them in the right order.

Got it to work. It returned a completely different path of course just to make life interesting and required a FN+OPTION ENTER in order to return the path. I now have the FLATTEN option in the edit menu.
Just trying it checking all the Flatten options except the fields seemed to work on the first pass. I'm going to try and load a copy of the original complete document. I assume that is the proper way to use this at this point since I created the form ***-backwards?
I've used Adobe layout programs since the Aldus days but Acrobat seems to work differently than any other program I've used.
If I understand what you're saying I should:
1. Design the layout of the form leaving spaces for the fields
2. Open Acrobat, import the document
3. Auto-add and correct, or manually add the fields
4. Fix tabbing
5. Add any additional comments or annotations
6. Flatten everything but the fields? (If the fields are flattened I can't fill out the form unless it's supposed to be a printed form only, right?)
Might just have to break down and RTFM. Acrobat is a really different animal.

Double spacing is double spacing whether you are using Pages or Word. Double spacing is dependent upon the font size that you are using in the document no matter which word processing app that you use.
Pages on the iPad has limited fonts and chances are pretty good that if you import a Word file into Pages on the iPad, there will be some formatting or font issues.
But once again, Helvetica in Pages is pretty much the same Helvetica as you would be using in Word. If you use a font in Word that is not available in Pages, you will see a warning message that some elements of the original document have been changed.

You're in trouble. You'll have to force the phone into recovery mode & restore it to remove the passcode:
Leave the USB cable connected to your computer, but NOT your phone, iTunes running, press & hold the home button while connecting the USB cable to your dock connector, continue holding the home button until you see “Connect to iTunes” on the screen. You may now release the home button. iTunes should now display that it has detected your phone in recovery mode, if not quit and reopen iTunes. If you still don’t see the recovery message repeat these steps again. iTunes will give you the option to restore from a backup or set up as new.

What you are saying is true but it will not always work. The aap store is dead. Wen I go to the fret urged page I see a white screen. I should be able to scroll down to the bottom and select View Apple ID but can't. This is on my wife's iPad and she thought after she upgraded to iOS 6.0 when it prompted her to turn on Genius that's what caused the trouble and she wanted to turn off Genius. NO CAN DO in App Store.
To turn off Genius I had to go to Settings > iTunes & App Stores > Apple ID xxxxx then click view Apple ID then I can turn Genius off and on.
But the did not fix the problem with the App Store which is still dead.

Yes, I brute force my way through it. I analyzed the file before and after a preference change to find the data changed. FYI, the "data" portion of the iTunesPrefs.xml file appears to be Base64-encoded. Strings are UTF8.
If you want more support from apple, you would probably need to buy an higher-level ADC account.
You can also try submitting an enhancement request through http://bugreport.apple.com (requires at least a free ADC Online account)

You can do as the manual tells you to do and restore the ipod.
