There is no way to remove an Apple ID. This is an antitheft feature of the iPhone. You will have to find the owner of that Apple ID and ask them to remove Activation Lock. See: Find My iPhone Activation Lock: Removing a device from a previous owner’s account - Apple Support
If you cannot do this return the phone for a refund. It is useless to you.

Go to Settings>Store>Apple ID. Tap on her ID and sign out. Them sign in with your own ID.

You need to immediately change the password for the Apple ID, for starters. If have iCloud and Find My iphone enabled on the device you can remotely wipe the device. If you do not then there is nothing you can do except change the password for the account.

Welcome to the Apple community.
This feature has been introduced to make stolen phones useless to those that have stolen them.
However it can also arise when the user has changed their Apple ID details with Apple and not made the same changes to their iCloud account/Find My Phone on their device before upgrading to iOS 7, or if you restore from a previous back up made before you changed your details.
The only solution is to change your Apple ID back to its previous state with Apple at My Apple ID using your current password, you don’t need access to this address if it’s previously been used with your Apple ID, once you have saved these details enter the password as requested on your device and then turn off "find my phone" and delete the account from your device.
You should then change your Apple ID back to its current state, save it once again and then log back in using your current Apple ID. Finally, turn "find my phone" back on once again.

It sounds like your device might be in Activation Lock. Is it asking your to enter in an Apple ID & password, but only showing you the first letter of the email address and then some dots? Example: j•••••@icloud.com?
If so, do you recognize that email? Do you have an Apple ID that fits the same format? If so, then go to www.cloud.com, log in with that Apple ID & password, and see if under Find My iPhone it shows this device. If so, turn off the device, then remove the device from the list.

How are you supposed to get help from Apple if you don't know what your serial number is? They say to input the serial number of the "product" that you are asking about. Since my problem is how to deauthorize/authorize computers, and they are saying I have more than 5 (which I have never owned more than 5 computers in my life), I can't imagine what serial number they mean. You could have more 5 computers authorized if you ever, for example, reformatted a hard drive or replaced a hard drive without deauthorizing the computer first. Apple's system would see that as a different computer, even though you don't. There's nothing to be afraid of in deauthorizing everything and the reauthorizing what you actually have. You won't lose any data. Mistimp is correct, they can't tell you which computers are authorized.
