How do you remove error 0X00000709 from your computer? I just removed one printer and added another!

     I have a HP Pavilion Elite HPE computer and had an HP 6500 printer as my default. I purchased a LaserJet Pro CM1415 and loaded it into my computer and removed (I thought) was the software for the HP 6500.
     However when I try to make the CM1415 my default it gives me an error 0X00000709 and tells me I can not do it. I no longer have any other printer listed, however I noticed some programs (Adobe for instance) don't even recognize the new printer, just the 6500 which got removed. I have already removed the drivers (software) for the new printer and reloaded it. Also I checked the registry and the 6500 is listed there. I did nothing with the registry at this time.
     I would like to know how I can remove this error and make my new printer the default (only one listed) one? Thanks in advance for any and all answers

a) Click on Start.
b) Type regedit in the start search and click Enter.
c) Move to the location mentioned below.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows
d) In the right column, you will find key Device, change the value to your Printer name.
e) It is of the format for example: "HP LaserJet 4250 PCL6,winspool,Ne03:".
f) Right click on the value and click on Rename, change it to your printer name.

As far as I have found up to this point this is somwhere close to the vicinity that I want to be in order to get done what I want to get done. I don't know... perhaps I'm coming at this from the wrong angle. Maybe I should use the ipod , and come at itunes from its interface?...

I have not sync with another computer. Brand new Ipod touch from christmas. same computer. I have however conected it to this computer before & because I was ingnorant it synced automatically with this same computer. I was ****** because it messed everything up. So I erased my ipod completlely and started over. I also un-installed itunes and started over with its as well. I then put only music that I wanted on my ipod onto my computer in itunes.

I my computer which is an iMac (late 2012) won't allow me to receive or make calls. I tried pairing my phone via bluetooth but that Doesn't work - tells me to check the network (i am on the correct network). Is the iMac too old to allow this to happen?

Create the slideshow either in iPHoto or in iDVD itself. Pick one of the old themes like World, Travel, Windowbox, Scrapbook or Pinboard that have no dropzone and drag a blank, black image file menu's window. That will give you a black menu. Change the text color to whatever you'd like for the play button for the slideshow. If you want the slideshow to start immediately when you put the disk in the DVD player click on the Map button in the bottom toolbar, last one on the left in the middle. In the next window drag the slideshow icon into the box at the far left. Then use the File->Save as Disk Image and complete the project. You can then open the disk image and play it with DVD Player to preview before committing to disk. If it's what you want, burn it with Disk Utility as the slowest speed possible for maximum compatibility with the many DVD players on the market.

TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. When I set the account up to buy tracks from Itunes. I was using the same Laptop that I'm using now, Just a differnt hard drive as The old hard drive died on me. I never bought any tracks from Itunes so I didn't have any to lose. I couldn't deauthorize this laptop because I didn't know that the laptop was going to die on me. In went the new hard drive. re-installed windows xp pro & re-installed itunes 8.1 clicked on authorize this machine & it came up with 3 machines out of 5. it's the same Laptop on the account. how to I remove this laptop twice from the account is it possible cheers?, If i do remove 1 of the machines, will I lose the rights to play back the tracks that I've bought today?

You can't deauthorise 'dead' installations or computers you no longer have access to individually. To delete an entire podcast you have subscribed to - with all its episodes - select it and hit delete. You will be asked whether you want to move it to the trash or leave it in the Library - if you choose the latter option it wil disappear from iTunes but the files will still be taking up space in the Library.
If you have mistakenly chosen the keep option, go to (user)/Music/iTunes/iTunes Music/Podcasts and delete the files. Do not do this if you have not removed it from the iTunes application - delete it there to avoid messing up the indexing.

Is it possible to transfer a voice memo to my computer and then convert that to text that can be printed?
Here is my problem. I study harbor seals and have always taken hand written notes that then must be typed into the computer when I get home from an observation. Is there any way I can dictate what I see to a voice memo and then have that translated to text. If there is which would do it best an iphone or ipad (I have neither, just a tracphone for an emergency).
Perhaps this is asking too much from the technology available but it would be a great help if I could do this.
