Thanks - but there are no episodes of the podcast itself. It is the tile from the store that is clogging up space. The podcasts themselves can be deleted - that's easy - but the subscription tile cannot - even though I am not subscribed anymore.
The podcasts are not on my syncing computer's iTunes either, so can't be removed that way either.

If you add an item to a slideshow, you'll usually see 2 entries for that image in the assets panel - one represents the thumbnail, and the other represents the larger 'hero' image.
It sounds like you may have added the same image to your slideshow twice. You can select one of the hero images or thumbnail images in your slideshow and use the delete key to remove it. Then the extra 2 entries in the assets panel should disappear.

How do you remove Facebook from the Hub?

I don't use Facebook, so have deleted the app. In the Hub settings, you have the option of turning off unwanted apps, so I have switched off Facebook.
However, when I look at my Hub screen, Facebook is still there - and it's pushing a useful notification (Voicemail) off the bottom off the screen.
How come it is still there even though the app has been deleted and I have switched it off in the Hub settings? Is there anything else I can do to remove it?

To delete an account from your hub, you will need to delete it from your Accounts. From home page, go into settings, select accounts,click facebook account and click on delete. You can refresh your hub from five quick swipes from the top right hand corner of the hub diagonally down or just restart your z10 to rebuild the hub.

When setting up 2-step verification for my Apple ID, I get a list of devices to verify. My list has my old iPhone 4 and my old iPad, which I don't have either of anymore. Is there a way to remove these devices from the list? Plus, both iPads that are listed don't give any indication of which one is my current iPad and which is my old iPad, so I'm not sure which one to verify. What should I do there.

For reference, I figured out how to identify which iPad was which so I could verify my iPad. I went into the settings on my new iPad and changed the device name, started a iCloud backup (not sure if this was necessary but I wanted to make sure the device name change persited to the cloud) and then was able to see the new name on the device screen for 2-step verification. Hopefully this helps someone if they have a similar problem. I still am not sure how to remove old devices from the list.

You can't currently permanently delete any item from your purchase history, all you can do is hide them so that they are less visible i.e. they won't show in the Purchased tab : hiding and unhiding. If your iPad is on iOS 6 then you will need to do the hiding on your computer's iTunes, it's not currently possible to do it directly on iOS 6 devices.
If you are being notified about updates to those apps in the App Store app then those apps must be on your iPad. You can delete downloaded apps by pressing and holding any app on your iPad's homescreen and after a couple of seconds or so they should start to shake. Then press the 'x' in the left corner to delete the ones that you no longer want on your iPad, and when you've finished deleting press the home button so as to stop the shaking. If you don't get the 'x' on any of the apps that you've downloaded then check that Settings > General > Restrictions > Deleting Apps isn't set 'off'

Application has to be not running. Command-Q will quit. Try right clicking (control-click) on the app in the Aplication folder, and select move to trash.

The printer has already been uninstalled from the computer and I do not see it listed in the Device Manager. Is there a configuration file somewere in the Photoshop application or program folders that I can edit to remove an old non-existent scanner from the import list?

Oh, I didn't realise you had several. There is a PSP in the preferences settings folder called Menu Customization which contains scanner names it but I would not recommend messing with it!
My recommendation in such circumstances is to bypass PS and use the scanners own software or the Vuescan standalone program.

I have inherited several hundred old photographs and many of them display "silver mirroring" in the black regions which creates a bluish cast on the scanned image. Is there a simple way to reduce this problem during the scanning process or is there a way within Photoshop to repair it? When scanning, try setting the black threshold up a bit. This might loose some detail in the dark regions, but it will also make the slightly lighter images in the dark regions disappear. It depends on how light the images are and how much dark-region detail you are willing to sacrifice.

TRACEFLOW is really useful, and over time the entries for have grown but don't shrink automatically.
They have now reached a point where there are too many for indesign to cope with "TRACE menu has overflowed allocated action ids".
How do I clear the menu? I've tried deleting the Version 4.0 folder from Application Data\Adobe\InDesign, but even without the plugin loaded it still finds all the old entries.

Thanks for responding. New windows in safari keep opening up without me touching anything, like one after another. Sometimes functions freeze and buttons on a website are dead, like I won't be able to activate the 'submit' button. Other times a website won't load or reload and just spins it wheels (not a server problem because I test it for functionality on a PC to be sure). There are all Safari issues and I don't have any non-Safari issues, which is why I thought it could be malaware. I can't think of anything else unless the screen is dysfunctional.
