How do you remove unwanted remote access teams from entering and copying your system?

Everytime I start up my MacbookPro 15" running os x 10.4.11 (10.5 gave me black screen bug, I start up termial and console (yes I am paranoid ~ for good reason).  There seems to be one group or group of groups that keep logging on, moniterig and copying everytime I make any changes.  I have tried commands from the terminal and that may work for a bit (they are a sneaky bunch), but even then, I'm not sure that I have total and confidential control of my computer.  The worst is having someone blocking look-ups, tool buttons, copy, trash, etc.  But, the very worst is not having the conrol and privacy that has been so greatly promised for years.  Most times I cannont print.  The button is grayed out or the document prints somewhere in cyberspace.  I have been searching for weeks and it seems everything is just RSS positive.  I find it hard to believe I am the only one with this problem.  Oh, and for you Apple techs that say it's impossible.  I've got the proof.  So stop the denial.  I hope someone here can share some insight.
Cheers!

How do you remove unwanted magazines from your newsstand?

I have the ipod touch 5th generation. I tried to remove the magazine from the newsstand by pressing and holding the magazine until it wiggled but no delete option appeared (that small little "x" in the upper corner). After some rather frustrating searches that revealed nothing I plugged my ipod into my computer via USB and opened itunes. From there i clicked on the ipod button at the top right under the search option which opened the ipod contents. Click on Apps and you can remove magazines from here. Hope this helps!

  • How do you guys do remote access?

    Hi All,
I have a customer with a MAC at both office and home.  When she is a home she would like to remote into her work computer (okay'ed by her boss) to work on various things (she is a graphics artist).
How do you guys do remote access?  Do you have anything like Linux's XRDP?
What ports and what protocol (TCP, UDP) do you use?
    Many thanks,
    -T

So  something like Goodreader or Dropbox would work...if the files are *.doc's you could use Quick Office Pro HD to edit  them. An iPad probably isn't the place to do complicated edits, however...either of these apps will allow a file local to the iOS device to be stored, then sent to another app such as Quick Office Pro HD...or you could also have the files stored in an email folder in say, Outlook, and then have that folder sync to the iOS device OTA with the iOS Exchange client...

how do you remove music or books permanently from account?

You can't, you can only hide them via your computer's iTunes so that they don't show in the cloud for redownloading : iTunes Store: Hiding and unhiding purchases - Apple Support.
If your computer is a Mac with Mavericks or Yosemite on it then you hide books via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iBookstore homepage in its iBooks app.

How can you take a video including music from IPhoto and put it onto a disk?

You need burn software which will author/encode the movie so it can be viewed using any DVD player - there is iDVD (still available as part of the retail 09 or 11 iLife disks at online resellers including ebay and Amazon) or Roxio Toast ($$) or Burn (free, but very basic).

  • How can I remove my old apple id from iTunes and put the new one in?

Morning all, how can I remove my old apple Id from my I tunes account and replace it with the new apple ID, ?
    Many thanks
    Kimber. Lee

Sign out of iTunes and sign in with the new ID. On your computer, under on of the iTunes menus, on your iPad Settings > iTunes and App Stores and tap on the Apple ID.
Note that all apps downloaded under the previous ID are locked to that ID, and you will have to sign back onto it for any updates.

  • How do you remove unwanted Language Packages.

I have just had a very curious fault in my iWorks applications.
The FONT name was in English but the FONT style was in Russian !!
Checking the language preferences I found that Russian, Polish and turkish was active along with English (AUS). How this happened I have no idea.
Because this seems to have been the cause of some significant problems I would like to remove all the excessive language packs (not just turn them off).
Does anyone know how to do that.
    Many Thanks.

Checking the language preferences I found that Russian, Polish and turkish was active along with English (AUS).
If you only have English (AUS) on the list, and not English, that may be the cause of your problem. No app has an English (AUS) localization, so it could skip to something further down the list. Try putting English right below English (AUS).
Most people have the 18 standard OS X languages on that list with no problems whatsoever. I would not recommend removing the localization files, as that may cause problems for some apps, or you may by error wind up removing something necessary for the OS to work right.

  • How do you remove ALL of my Podcasts from iTunes !!

    Hi,
having read several topics I am glad, but also sad, to know that I am not the only one having problems with submitting Podcasts onto iTunes. I have one which is still showing the 'Old' art cover, asked iTunes to remove and got nowhere, it is still there. Submitted it again this time with a New Art Cover and guess what it appeared 3 times all without the Art Cover ( it came up with the Purple Podcast art cover ), asked to get that removed and guess what --- it's still there, all linked to DEAD web links.
So here's my question, I have several Podcasts ( all for my University, until there Xserve is up and running ) on my DotMac account, HOW do I get everything removed from iTunes so that I can start all over again. I mean wipe the whole lot off iTunes - remove - kill, what ever !!!
I have even tried to follow the instructions on the iTunes 'Podcast Making' site on how to 'Remove' - guess what, you can't why I hear you ask because the instructions don't match up with what you see in iTunes/podcasts. See below the instructions from iTunes on how to remove:
    Removing or Blocking Your Feed.
If you are no longer creating a podcast and you want it removed from iTunes, you should:
    Log into iTunes.
    Find and select your podcast.
    Click on Report a Concern.
Select *"_is mine and I want it removed from the Music Store_"* from the Choose a Reason menu.
Explain why you want the podcast removed.
Note the part "is mine and I want it removed from the Music store" This option does not appear in the "Choose a reason menu" . Have not iTunes/Apple noticed this little error.
So back to my question - How do I remove 'everything' ??
I use iWeb, submit to my DotMac account and then submit to iTunes/Podcasts.
    Any help would be grateful.

  • How do you remove a third party item from the system preference

I am running Mt Lion 10.8.5 and need to remove the Norton Antivirus that is in the system preference.
What is the trick on getting it out of there?

    Hi,
    Read All on this one.
The Disk or the Installer .dmg that you got for this should have an Uninstaller included.
On a  Disk it may be a separate item.
However sometimes it is an option choice during the Install screens.
The web site for the app should also have instructions (in rare cases the Uninstaller is on the web site)
Common "all user"  add-on Preferences Pane are stored in Had Drive Name/Library/PreferencesPanes
The ones that come in the OS are in Hard Drive Name/System/Library/PreferencePanes
Note the Path Bar displayed across both pics.  (Finder > View Menu > Show Path Bar).
You also have a User Folder version Hard Drive Name/Users/(your account name)/Library/PreferencePanes (~/Library/PreferencePanes)
You have to use the Finder > Go Menu > Go to Folder and type (Copy from here and Paste there) in the Dialogue box that appears  (use the ~/Library/PreferencePanes option)
There is a good chance this one is empty.
Broadly speaking though the more complicated the processes behind a Preference Pane or app the easier and better it is to remove it with the correct Uninstaller.
    Norton is Invasive !!
    USE THE UNINSTALLER Method

  • How do you remove partner as admin use from client's website?

    Hi Guys,
Can any one advice me on how to remove ourselves (partner) as admin from a client's website in V3 so that we would stop receiving all their system emails etc?
On the older admin it was simple case of going to the users section under admin and removing the partner user.
    Thanks in advance.

For us its not so much about removing ourselves from User roles - yes, QED - but its more important to have the control and also provide a level of invisibility if needed. BC support can remove us quickly and add us back in, but that means I either have to log a ticket (and in the last 6 months none of my tickets have had responses sooner than 2-3 days! ...so I don't bother any more), OR wait 15-20 minutes in the queue for a live chat plus however long it then takes them to complete.
If we don't have that instant control and one of our resellers, or indeed a client, calls us to make a quick intervention, we'd like the control to add ourselves back in at an instant, do the work and get out again. That is the real need and issue. The fact that BC have removed an option that was useful is certainly not helpful or progress in my opinion.

  • How do you remove previous Oracle Database installations from your registry

    HI,
I am trying to reinstall Oracle 9i and Oracle 9i developer on windows XP home and i have used the OUI to uninstall both programs. I tried re-installing the database and Oracle universal Installer gave me a message indicating i have 2 previous databases. Besides taking a different Oracle Home and removing the Oracle folder on the hard disk, how can i remove the Oracle Entries in the registry so that the computer is free of Oracle?
    Thanks

if u reinstall oracle and before that u have to delete the oracle related previous installation information from your registry.for that go to registry and open
    1)hkey_local_machine-software-in that delete oracle folder
2)hkey_local_machine-system-controlset001-in that delete the old database service information, listener info._lo
3)hkey_local_machine-system-controlset002-in that also delete the old database service, listener information.
