I, too, need to restore a mailbox which I deleted by accident.   I have a MobileMe account and Mobleme already appears in the settings window along with a secondary email account I have.  My .me email account does not appear and I cannot retrieve my emails from this account.  thanks for your help.

    Goto Settings, select iCloud, select PhotoSteam, and turn it off - you will get a warning message that this will delete the photos in photostream (but they are in your camera roll and albums so no worries) and delete.  You will now have only Camera Roll (where you CAN delete photos directly on your phone), and any albums you've imported - which you can sync using iTunes.
    Otherwise you can also loginto iCloud from Mac or PC and delete the photostream there

    There is NO other way to get photos off your phone, that were synced to your phone, other than through the iTunes sync process. Just make sure there are no checks, in any boxes, for any photos, that you do not want on your phone.

    I notice you are looking for solutions other than restoring, the article does outline how you can use iCloud's Find My iPhone:
    If you have Find My iPhone enabled, you can use Remote Wipe to erase the contents of your device. If you have been using iCloud to back up, you may be able to restore the most recent backup to reset the passcode after the device has been erased.
